So it is designed to do some possibly useful things e.g. version spoofing (which is bad if a patch blocks a cheat) or enabling remote play.
But how you actually get the data an then put it on the system I dont know. This sounds like it wont be useful (except maybe saves, I dont know) until the system gets hacked.

It appears so. Good job guys. I'm curious though. Let us say that we can get a full ISO rip and change this file to have a different license name, could the swap switch be of use? We know that the swap switch doesn't work because of the multiple checks, but if it keeps reading the same license name couldn't we maybe make a boot disc then use the swap switch? Like we take the backup and change the name to motorstorm or something then use motorstorm as a boot disc for backups. I'm sure there is more to it, but I'm just throwing ideas out in the open.
