    techknott from BenHeck forums has created a PS3 Wirless Visual Interface (WVI) portable. The mod contains a wireless video receiver connected to the actual PS3 that outputs the video (wirelessly) from a certain range. The portable does not contain any PS3 components except the controller.  The mod features a 4500maH Li-ion rechargeable battery with LED meter, 5″ LCD (standard def), AV, headphone and USB ports. The wireless receiver used is 1.2 GHz (to prevent inteference with PS3 controller).  Screen shots and video below:

    A modified version of BenQ iXtreme v1.41 has been released:

    (1.41 REV4 (SS)) Secret Liteon MS Inquiry cdb support – Samsung and Benq
    (1.41 REV3 (SS)) Drive Serial added like the original firmware
    (1.41 REV3 (SS)) Disc speed fixed
    (v1.41) Read Sector fix
    (v1.4) Disc jitter fix

    Use Rev. 4 to spoof BenQ as a Liteon drive. If you use the old Rev 4 or 5, just upgrade to the Final rev4. If you use Rev 3 you do not do anything.

    Use on Xbox Live at own risk.

    Another launcher has been released for homebrew enabled Xbox360 consoles;
    From gsx302.

    This launcher is said to be coded by a friend of his, posted with permission. The source wishes to remain anonymous.

    This is an alternative launcher, that was created in a said “30 minutes”, and may be upgraded soon? As you can see, the pace on this stuff is moving fast, so dishing out big updates should be easy for the developer.

    It features a UI, Game launcher, and a file manager, to copy/paste/delete files.
    Keep in mind, when you copy, it counts files, so if it stalls for you? It’s a beta, it’s just counting files, so give it a second.

    When it’s pasting, the UI will also appear to be frozen until it is complete, then it will resume. Same with deleting, but that is usually faster, so it may be unnoticeable.

    Two methods to go about utilizing this:
    * Disc: Download the ISO from the usual places, and burn it using a program such as ImgBurn to a CD/DVD/etc. Pop it in, and click play game.
    * Hard drive(Game Demo): Download the VIPER360_LIVE.rar, extract the contents, and you will have a “CODE7777″ folder. Place this in your “Content000000000000000” folder on your hard drive. Now when you go to games library, you should have a Demo called “Viper360″. You can boot that to utilize it.

    You can find the readme below, download link on bottom of page:

    Open PS2 Loader is a 100% Open source game loader compatible with
    USB Advance/Extreme game format. It’s more compatible and it should work
    without ps2load or change DNASXXX.IMG tricks.

    Open PS2 Loader also is developed continuously and anyone can contribute
    improvements to the project.

    The main objective is to support both the PS2 and the PS3 with backward

    There are compatibility lists in the project repository:

    How to use

    First, you need an USB device compatible with PS2/PS3 formatted in FAT32
    (only if you want to load games from USB).
    For loading games by SMB protocol you need to share a folder called PS2SMB
    (it can be changed) make sure that it has permissions for anyone to access.
    The games have to be in USB Advance/Extreme format. There are some programs
    for converting games to this format. Open PS2 Loader includes an command line
    tool for that purpose called iso2usbld.

    Other utilities are: USBUtil 2.0, USB Extreme installer or USB Insane.

    In PS2 you can use any of the existing methods for loading an executable elf.

    In PS3 you need to have an original SwapMagic 3.6+ or 3.8 (at the moment
    there aren’t any other option).

    The steps for loading Open PS2 Loader in a PS3 are:

    1. Rename OpenPS2LD.ELF to SMBOOT0.ELF
    2. Make a folder in root of USB device called SWAPMAGIC and copy
    SMBOOT0.ELF to it.
    3. Launch SwapMagic in PS3 and press UP+L1 then Open PS2 Loader should

    There are 4 forms for launching elfs in SwapMagic.

    SMBOOT0.ELF = UP + L1
    SMBOOT1.ELF = UP + L2
    SMBOOT2.ELF = UP + R1
    SMBOOT3.ELF = UP + R2

    Tutorial on how to use can be found here.

    boby2pc released a new version of FindSecData, a tool to help you uncripple the HDD features on a banned Xbox 360 console.   FindSecData will extract secdata.bin and filetable of NAND dump. It uses patch-latest secdata.bin method.

    What’s new/fixed (since v0.4):
    * added bypassing FF version records in filesystem (v0.41)
    * more accurate timestamp – used for visual purposes only (v0.41)
    * added parameter to show time part of timestamp in filetables (v0.42)
    * added support for large blocks (v0.5)
    * block rellocation support (v0.6)
    * now for 256MB and 512MB Jaspers is only needed dump of 0×600 blocks:
    nandpro lpt: -r256 raw.bin AE0 600
    or nandpro lpt: -r512 raw.bin AE0 600

    Carranzafp/Maximus released a modified version of the Lite-On iXtreme v1.6 to work with the 83850-v2 and 93450 drives.

    He Wrote: “Just finished hexediting and testing. Here are templates for Ixtreme 1.6 for 83V2 and 93450 liteon firmwares what you need to do is place your keys/serials on it and flash
    use Jungleflasher or Hexedit, whatever, keep you original stored for future upgrades.

    Dont ask why you got banned if you play Online with this firmware, its 1.6, also I just tested with 2 consoles so its your call the fws are based on the 83v1 ixtreme 1.6 I could have do it based on the 74 but Its the first I saw, dont think based on the 74 would make them safer anyway.”

    In related news, MRA released a new and better method to dump/read those Lite-On 83850-v2 and 93450 drives:

    No pin lifting or epoxy removing needed anymore! Just solder anything on the back according to this picture.
    Also if you got status 0×52 instead of 0×72 with the “1,8V-method” this should do it. I already dumped 4 drives with this method without any issues.

    -switch it to position 1
    -power the drive
    -start Dosflash –> SPI should get recognized with status 0×72
    -switch to position 2
    -click “read”

    Unsolder anything and reconnect the lines that have been cut.
