• PS3 Games now moddable (GTAIV Game Modding)

    Homebrew, PS3 Hacks , 23.09.2010

    One of the things that PSGroove and jailbreaking the PS3 has opened up, is the world of game modding. PS3 users have not yet had the freedom to do this, but with the PS3 security exploited, we do now :) .

    PS3Hax member anti087 has posted a tutorial on how to mod Grand Theft Auto IV for the PS3. I am sure there are endless possibilites to do, for many other games as well so feel free to post your tutorial on our forums.

      Pretty sure the mods aren't gonna take that 1st BS lightly here.

      Great news though, looking forward to other mods for Fallout 3 and Elder Scrolls.

      Jebi ga sad, bice svashta sa ovim modovanjem... Modding on ps3, who would thought it will be possible. It would be awesome to see some mods for ps3 exclusives...

      It would be good to start modding games like Super Street Fighter 4, CoDMW2, etc... that doesn´t work!!!

      How about a user made Gameshark or Action Replay of sorts? combo loader/cheat device like ToxicOS on the PS2. that's what I'm talkin about

      not neccesarily just for cheating, but altering (modding) games as well. ya know like play as a character that is not normally possible, all the WWE smackdown mods made with gameshark that would not normally be possible, stuff like that.

      i was messing around with the program and you can edit near enough anything. i have peds with weapons. nico is 90 years old. loads of cool stuff!!!!!

      This sound like way to much funn!!!
      but i do have a queston.. do we just move the ps3 external HDD to the pc to mod?

      THIS DOES WORK, UNINSTALL THE 1.06 UPDATE, THIS EXPLOIT IS NOT COMPATIBLE

      I backed up the game to the internal and tested your uploaded and my custom made common file, both times I was given a infinite boot up.

      I backed up the game to my external harddrive and tested your common file and my custom one made by following your tut. Same, infinite boot loop.

      THIS DOES NOT WORK!

      I can't wait for the customizations...automatic rocket launcher pistols may be cool, but they are not as much fun as Kaneda's bike from Akira...I used to jump that from the first island of vice city to the third island...in one jump!
