The highly anticipated court case of Sony of Australia vs. PSJailBreak Resellers has come to an end, and the verdict does not come good. In the end, the injunction against PSJailbreak was NOT removed, and the distributor must give all stock of PSJailbreak to Australian lawyers. Furthermore, Justice Dodds-Streeton has also ordered that PSJailbreak may not be distributed in any way.

lol this is very bad like Sony's Devs are going to easily block the jailbreak users and find so many ways to end our great start oh man we just got started. Stupid Sony and their over payed lawyers lol and im still waiting for the super free substitute to psjb like hooking up ur pc directly to ur ps3 not verry practicable but its what i have i mean wdf is a Teensy board and who has an android phone if i had a google android phone i would've had money to buy the original psjb thats just me...u know what :thefinger: Sony!!!

i cant see them getting this overturned to be honest and if they have been ordered to contact the manufacturer and direct them to deliver their order to the lawyers then they cant even get them debranded/wiped etc for sale...
a very sad day for them indeed.

In the US they make a lot of decisions that don't make any sense, take the health care bill, they didn't even read the dang thing and they voted it in. I just hope we can repeal it in November and get some legislation that is not only read but actually will help out. (mainly mad that they lied to us about it, saying we can't find out what is in it without passing it is crock. They should have read the whole thing. we were in so much of a hurry to pass it, nothing beneficial takes affect til 2013 and the taxing starts now

I really thought psjb might win this one. Seen as though modchips ARE legal in oz!. I guess it doesnt really matter now anyway, there is no way they could ban the teensy boards (or any other) they are legitimate products for legitimate reasons and as far as the psgroove code if they force that to be taken down how many 1000's already have a copy?. It can never be deleted

Well it just shows how crooked the justice system is in that country, how is it possible that sony won the otherOS its ridiculous, you buy something, with features you paid for and they remove it. seriously this on portugal (which indeed is a crooked country) people would win this no doubt, there are laws here that don't allow people for doing this...
about the jailbreak it would be harder to win, but seriously when I saw that the lawsuit for other OS was won by Sony i just thought "well if they win this one they will surely win the jailbreak case"

Now that the Aussie resellers are prohibited from selling the psjailbreak, what is the best way for us Aussies to obtain a psjailbreak easily? I placed a pre order with OzModChips but unfortunately with the court order not going their way I have to look somewhere else.

They just need to ship the cards with no branding or software on them and make no mention of sony or the ps3 in advertising. Let users install thier own firmware at home. Then it's the users responsibility what they put on it.
They must be kicking themselves now becuase if they had stocked up on the cards before making anything public they could have shipped loads by now at the high price.

So What this isn't so bad at all.
My Friend in Austria has bought an Teensy Board and a BlackCatUSB and installed the Patched Version of PSGroove with backupmanager so they don't care. I would be nice if someone made a plasic case for the BlackcatUSB and the Teensy board for PSGroove for the way it looks. A custom mod for it or somthing.
