oh yeah psp port
09-04-2010
12:51 PM
just taking a stab in the dark... but im assuming this wont run on the pspgo through the hbl exploit? i attempted it but it said failed with 0x80020001
09-04-2010
12:51 PM
Cant wait to try it!
09-04-2010
12:51 PM
i have it running on my psp but PS3 isnt hacked
09-04-2010
12:53 PM
This is good news

ITT: People who don't know what a POC is.

12:54 PM
POC as in "functional" concept? I will attempt this in a little bit and post back results.
09-04-2010
12:55 PM
I had a look at the code it has flaws. if it was the same one i looked, i ll try it later.
09-04-2010
12:55 PM
ah only demonstrates the feasibility.... but im still curious if the port will be doable through the hbl exploit on the pspgo
09-04-2010
12:56 PM
By the way, a POC is a proof of concept. This does nothing. I had this about 14 hours ago.
It just shows that the PSP can be used to be shown as a USB hub.
09-04-2010
01:00 PM
ok is ther any tut?
09-04-2010
01:00 PM
so it was the same that i had it shows as a hub on the computer, but doesn't do anything on the ps3 lol
09-04-2010
01:01 PM
Yes, I when connected to my pc while running the EBOOT the psp is detected as a generic usb hub. This is good news. Hopefully people will take this further. Source code people? It should be released but... thats just my opinion. Keep up the good work.

01:02 PM
Yep, put it in your PSP\GAME5XX en start it normally.
You won't see anything different because it is not ready yet.
But they are working on it!
09-04-2010
01:18 PM
This is extra awsome
i can't belive the had this POC up within hours, the full program will be here before we know it!!
09-04-2010
01:29 PM
does your psp have to be hacked and where does the eboot file go
09-04-2010
01:45 PM
@blaze0036 yes... the psp has to be running custom firmware. As for where the eboot goes, depends on the firmware, the path should look something like ms0:/psp/GAME/somefolder/EBOOT
09-04-2010
01:56 PM
i have it running on my psp also, but my ps3 isn't hacked either
excuse my english
p.s.: i have a psp slim with gen d3
09-04-2010
02:00 PM
anybody got a link to where i can hack my PSP for custom firmware real quick?
i have the PSP-3000
09-04-2010
02:05 PM
A few more details about it ;
You obviously need CFW
Doesn't work on HBL, needs to be run on 5.XX CFW (The dev himself is using 5.50 Gen D like myself xD)
It's only a POC
Put the 'pspsgroove' folder DIRECTLY into your GAME folder
That should help a few out.

can confirm it working on psp under windows its finally detected as usb hub with no errors and if you have firmware 3.41 on ps3 and actually follow the steps of the old ps3jailbreak ps3 will see the usb hub as an unknown usb device connected. So progress is being made and slowly but surely will have a psp hack
09-04-2010
02:14 PM
okay if your PSP was already updated to version 6.20
can u still do this or do you need a older version?
09-04-2010
02:33 PM
Mine showed up as generic usb in device manager...but windows 7 failed to load drivers for it.
09-04-2010
02:33 PM
awesome work guys!
keep it up! :D
09-04-2010
02:36 PM
it seems that the hacking community is leaning more towrds getting the ps3 controller hack going first because its easier..... im not 100% on this but from what i am reading it looks that way.

when you take the controller apart thier is a system board that contains a re-flashable chip on it and the system board powers on when pluged into a usb port without the battery attached, .....so that said thier saying it would be possible to flasg the psgroove info to the chip on the system board and plug it into yur ps3 and run the hack. I know that thier still working on it, but i don't see it taking too much longer to be accomplished, but who knows...

02:53 PM
front page of ps3hax!
think it will be hard though if at all possible
09-04-2010
02:55 PM
Hopefully the ps3 controller will need a Jtag, that should keep it pretty newb proof.
09-04-2010
02:55 PM
Hey japsander, do u know of a program off hand that i can use to dump the ps3 paddles chip data? i have the amtel flip program but its obviously not for that type of chip. Im just interested in whats inside that chip..

03:47 PM
Great work guys, can't wait till something good like this arrives, I'm sure sony will be pushing an update to block any of this soon. No sony update for me this time....LOL
09-04-2010
03:51 PM
lol youve lost me mate...
your best off checking with the guys researching it at
http://translate.googleusercontent.c...nFUU4cAqPt0iPg
i know nothing about coding, dumping or anything that technical
i just try to look and learn.
09-04-2010
03:53 PM
lol... yeah for the six axis. Thanks for the link, im gunna check it out...
09-04-2010
03:59 PM
Probably through jtag dumping (meaning solder a few wires and dump the firmware)
09-04-2010
04:13 PM
does anyone know if we are still waiting for the six axis chip to be dumped?
09-04-2010
04:18 PM
it has already been dumped one year ago.
09-04-2010
04:27 PM
wow, (i just might feel retarded) from the six axis controller??
09-04-2010
04:29 PM
yes the there is a dump of the controller already made one year ago, no you are not retarded, you have not been in the scene for as long as some of us here.
09-04-2010
06:00 PM
it does'nt work
09-04-2010
06:14 PM
its naturally, this is a POC, not a BETA or final version
09-04-2010
06:16 PM
Please bear in mind this is only a POC this is not supose to work!!
and if you ask me it never will
09-04-2010
06:22 PM
And why should it "never work"
The hardest part was to change the USB driver od the PSP so it gets recognized as a USB HUB...which it now does.
The last thing to do is to integrate the specific operations psGroove does, which "should" be fairly simpel, since its open source and well documented.
Maybe I am missunderstanding a thing here, but porting code like that is for my understanding easy (i am doing career training as an IT Sysadmin [well, i am from german, not sure if that is the right wording for it] and my whole knowledge comes from C++ and Java, not sure what language the PSP runs)

fw 3.15 stuck on start. I like my Fedor PPc on ps3, wait for all fw.
09-04-2010
06:35 PM
They would need to make their own driver and coding a driver is anything but easy
nvm: looks like they managed to get further

No it didn't it just advanced a little bit its still a POC for the fake video up there its fake you don't fool anyone with that, and the other one, you don't seem to understand the meaning of POC, it is not supose to work its not for end users like you.

Yes, but that is exactly the point. This is a work IN progress. It's much better than work without progress. Anyway, haxnetwork has a place to donate open. I'd recommend donating so they can upgrade their servers. I just tried but apparently I have to make a payment on my credit card first... damn expensive laptop lol. Anyway, I'll be donating asap.

anyone know if psgroove is required to be plugged in all the time since i read something about taking it out one it boots in somewhere just wondering cause it would be kind of a waste of my psp battery to just leave it on there connected to the ps3
also heard mathieulh made some imporvements to psgroove think that maybe it works on older firmwares i just dont want to agree to that thing where sont automaticly updates your ps3 that scares me of loosing psjailbreak i wanto to stay safe on 3.15

Please port it to the old Ipod touch. Need to dust it off and put it to work on something useful :}

this sounds exciting
just found out the retailer I created a purchase of the psjailbreak for has pulled down the item from their site, so I won't be supporting the original haxors after all. They better respond to my email within 48 hours (cause of the holiday here tomorrow)
I am also awaiting confirmation if the co i bought the xplain board from is going to ship it out. They pinged me for a dollar lol so I hope so, also my psp is going to be returning to me either tomorrow night or shortly there after, and I hope the working hack/mod comes out by then or shortly after, i still have to upgrade form 3.52 something to whatever it requires

according to this website http://psfreedom.com/wiki/index.php?...atibility_list the psp port is in progress i have been checking this website multible times a day and finally they had it on the list as in progress as of this morning... and reliable sources are saying that it is possible to port the hack to the psp, so dont give up hope people. Do a little snoopin around see if one of you can't find some info on confirming this info about the psp and post it here.
well for some reason they removed it from the wessite....i'll keep you posted if i find anything..
