Hermes v3 Payload for PSGroove released!

PS3 Hacks, PSGroove , 05.10.2010

Hermes has released v3 of his PSGroove out to the masses. His newest updates bring plenty of snazzy features, to quote:

Features:

* New Address 0x80000000007ff000 end of the payload at the end of the Kernel in order to add the extra code needed (the code is relocatable, if necessary)

* Added support syscall 8 with Stealth and other kernel functions such as copy, allocate memory, perform routine, add path table (for replacement / redirection of files and directories), etc. (see syscall8.h for details)

* Support for Homebrew in /apps_home/PS3_GAME similar to a flash drive or connected on /dev_usb000/PS3_GAME

* Syscall redirection 36 games to run diskless: /apps_home/PS3_GAME

Now its time for the ports, so post your ports away, and we will combine them on a master list.

AT90USB162/Teensy/Maximus/Minumus are all the same thing and they all use the same HEX.

I put this on my xplain board and it kinda works. If i am not doing it right please let me know

in order to load the game I need a game in the console, once its loaded though I can eject then go the the app/ps3game folder (or whatever it really is called) and it runs the games from there

I am also using the original bum dl from the psjailbreak site (got mine today as a matter of fact :P )

Any chance that this will be compiled for the Sansa e200 soon? I already have a user-compiled version of hermes v2 but I can't get the no-blueray function to work. It doesn't really matter since my PS3 works great, but the added convenience would be nice.

I am having a problem. I installed it to my TI-84+ and backed up NBA2K11 with open manager 1.4. When I choose load game and takes me to the xmb I don't see the game in the app/PS3?

2k11 is giving me problems as well. Ripped with open manager 1.4 and it will not boot. Ripped with back up manager and the buttons do not work.

FIFA 2011 is not playable in carrier mode with Herme$3! PSGroove have a better compatibility!

seems there are a lot of people using various ipod models ports of psgroove

I'm using psgroove v2 port for rockbox on ipod mini 1G and the open source manager 1.13

the thing is we should use the forum and create a post just for this and to collect all the ports

Here is the Hermes Payload v3. I extracted it from one of the compiled HEX files.
It's just the pure payload without the device specific code (Atmel, Microchip...) and it's suitable for all the Android recovery images with custom payload support.

Did you get all three LED's working right? I have one I compiled myself but only the power LED works. BTW nice job to those not in the know. Seems I will have to reflash it to 360 code as a new dash update means a new freeb00t as well. I love spring and fall!! My friends are still amazed I jailbreak with my 360 as the nand flasher is still inside.

EDIT

What mHz is the hex running at. Is was designed for 12 but I know I can run lower (maybe higher but don't want to try) as I like it to be running at factory specs.

could some one please help me? I am confused on what I have to do. I have done the exploit using both the ti-84 and the ipod 5g video. I have been just using the ipod lately cause it is alot easier. Now that Hermes V3 has come out, how do I get that new hermes update on my ipod so the buttons will work on NBA2K11? I have Open Backup Manager 1.16 installed too. Thanks for the straigtening out.

do you have any custom payload that worked. if so upload it so i can take a look at it. i had to hex edit this version to get it working with mine. i thought they should all work with all psfreedom based android recoveries..

is anyone working on the HERMES v3 payload for the Nexus One? I see they got it for the Desire and even the Evo 4G and iPhone 3g, the Desire and Evo 4G are both Android phones and the iPhones is using the linux version to install Android and use the PSFreedom so why are they leaving the Nexus 1 phone behind since the Nexus 1 was one of the first Android phone to get the PSFreedom
