   is it ever possible to hack the ps3 so that i dont have to do the power trick n have this sansa plug in every time i boot up???
   please god! i wish i can just turn the ps3 on with the controller like a non-jailbreak ps3. please!!!!

   A USB dev board is still cheaper (depending on which one you get), and better as its updated much faster.

   it will work on any ipod you can install rockbox on. I had like 20 broken and used ipods laying around. i made a working video 5g out of the broken parts and used the auto installer from rockbox and it worked on my ipod nano 1g. didnt cost me a dime and i can install v4 hermes on both ipods.

   it does jailbreak the ps3. but for some reason i'm getting error 8001003e when booting the games. i tried gaia manager and open manager too.
   it doesn't work.
   anyone with the same issue?

    i swear every other post on every forum thread is " can i get a nano 2g port?
    
    For the last time, the answer is NO. there will never be a ipod 2g port.
    and before u say "but i can put rockbox on it" heres why.
    
    YES, you can install rockbox on your nano 2g, but you cannot run the psgroove payload because the usb controller is not fully supported so the ipod cannot properly transmit psgroove code to the ps3. this most likly will never be fixed so everyone just stop asking about a nano 2g port.

    this is not true, it will only work on rockbox stable releases witch have full usb controller support. not all rockbox editions will work
    eg. nano 2g wont work

    shoot i bought a nano for $5 and the wheel doesn't work. i can't get into .rockbox folder through my mac it keeps saying not enough power o.O because i put in the hermes v3 on it that acts like the usb hub.

    actually not true, It wont work on the iPod Nano 2G yet because it uses a different boot sequence. You can get rockbox on there very crudely and very buggy but psgroove wont run on it yet, and as far as the iPod touch 2G and 3G they also cannot run it yet because the bootrom is different and they havent been able to port over android and openiboot yet. Someone is working on the iPod touch 2G (MB Model) port but its coming slow and steady and as far as the ipod touch 3G you can't install openiboot or psgroove (Or any linux based os ) as of right now because the bootrom hasnt been completely hacked. Right now its only a tethered hack (which has a loader made by comex that runs after start up to make the jailbreak untethered) so there wont be any hope for the iPod Touch 3G until a fully untethered bootrom exploit is found because withput full access to the bootrom openiboot cant be installed.

    Actually it does work 100% and its the most stable out of all the ports so you have to be doing something wrong. I'd say go back and start from the beginning and make sure when you run the code after you get it reinstalled that you do the boot sequence right on the PS3. Trust me take the small amount of time to make sure your doing everything right and it will be worth it when your done.

    so my ipod died a few days ago.. i got angry today and threw it at the wall because i have to wait 2 weeks for my dongle to come.. later on i go pick it up and stick it in the computer and it turned on to my amazement yay

    Nope, you can install just like that. Follow Rockbox instructions..
