   I didn't figure a lot of the individual ports like the Moto Droid and HTC devices would be as well supported with updates. This is why I ordered my Teensy board. It finally shipped and should be in my office Tuesday. I would suggest doing the same. You can Pre-order and when they come in they ship them real fast. They are also one of the cheapest and most supported jailbreak solutions. When a new Hermes or version of PSGroove comes out they are built within hours of release so you can load them straight on the board. Also, it seems to be not so hard to compile yourself. Even someone without programming history with medium tech abilities can do it. This is merely a suggestion that I thought might help you or anyone else out thinking the same as you.
   
   Edit: It is also worth noting that with the Teensy boards and other dev board like it, you don't have to jump through any hoops or take hours to set it up. All you have to do is download the software and load the hex on the board. It's a less than 15 minute process to update the board and get it back plugged into your PS3. Just seems the most logical choice in my opinion, when they come back in stock anyway.

   will this work if i just replace or do i have to uninstall first then install?
   also if im using the normal backup manager right now do i have to do anything so i can upgrade to open backup manager or do i simply delete backp manager and then install OBM
   
   all my games are in external hardrive and also wanted to know if with this call of duty modern warfare 2 works

    Check to OBM thread for support, but I think that all you have to do is tell OBM where your backups are, because I believe it will ask. I will know once I get my Teensy board on Tuesday. I'm still on the original Droid port so I don't have the new builds yet to try the new stuff.

    This will not work on an iphone with Spirit JB, i found this out after a few hours of trying!! Then i remembered i had a Spirit JB, so done a JB with blackra1n and worked 1st time.
    
    Also i dont think you can use this on a 3GS yet

    I have the original PSfreedom on my 3G and replaced it via diskaid yesterday with Hermes V3 Psfreedom. But when I booted up the PS3 it didnt work. The original disk showed up instead of the backup manager one. Anyone else having those problems? Also on a side note, I downloaded open manager too but maybe Im just a ratard but I couldnt get any games to load. anyone have a link on how to use it? Thanks.

    tried this on my ipod touch 1g yesterday, just replaced the old android.img.gz with the new one and when I did it wouldn't boot to the linux penguin, it just got stuck at "multi-touch calibration data" or something so I had to revert back.

    all ya gotta do is go into you iPhodroid file then go to Resources > iPhodroid Image then copy the .rar from the download file into there and SHOOT!!

    To all of you who get stuck while trying to boot it up.
    
    I had the same issues and googled a bit.
    I found a very helpful post by webwalk® at ps-scene
    He posted that you HAVE to use iFunbox to replace the files and use winSCP to change the permissions afterwards. copying/replacing with winSCP won't work.
    I can confirm that to be working on my iPhone3G.

    I have the same problem. Could not work it out, so I went back to previous payload. Didn't work with "sexy manager". You can sort of run the game without disk through ps3_games folder, but I only get blank screen. Waiting for solution, or how to.

    Hey, I have rockbox psgroove on my iPod Video 5G, and I've been using that with backup manager successfully for the past few days to play Mafia 2 and Dead Rising 2. I PsFreedom on my ipod touch before, but Backup manager didnt work with it so I switched to the iPod Video method.
    
    I saw this today and I took the new Android img and replaced the one I already had with it. If I try to use my iPod touch now with Hermes v3 will everything still work? Does it matter which device I use to boot into jailbreak mode?
    
    Also, I've been reading that some people haven't been able to boot into the Linux screen (The one with the penguin) on their iPod Touch. Has this been resolved?
    
    Would it be better to just stick with my iPod Video?

    The are things i must have done wrong:
    
    Previous config:
    iPhone 3G with genuine iPhone PSFreedom + genuine Backup manager
    ==> all games working except SSF4 (controller problem)
    
    Current config:
    iPhone 3G with Hermers V3 from PSFreedom + Pretty Manager R4
    ==> Black screen on SSF4 + most games now crashing at startup
    
    Games still in LAUN1234 directory.
    
    BTW, didnt figure out how to toggle from Patched Mode to Non Patched Mode.
    
    === EDIT ===
    After a few tests on SSF4:
    1) Originaly had ssf4 in LAUN12345 => deleted it
    2) lauched pretty manager r4, chose OMANXXXXX as directory for backups
    3) copied ssf4 from usb to hdd0 with prtty manager
    4) => still, black screen at startup
    
    Report from friends and I who basically had dumped games with Backup Manager 1.0 and used to work perfectly with psfreedom iphonelinux 1.0 w/ BUM 1.0 and no longer work w/ Hermes V3 on iPhone + Pretty manager R4:
    Assassins Creed 2
    Batman Arkam Asylum
    Bayonetta
    Demons Soul

    yes, me too and other friends also.
    some still work "out of the box" from older backup manager directory LAUN12345, but lots no longer work for me.
    I dont understand why so many people say its OK, there must be a trick but cant find though searching this site and others too in order to have it ok...

    No, iOpenboot is not yet compatible with 4.1 even if it's jail-broken since the new update did some changes to the boot structure.
    
    Stick with 4.0.1 or 4.0.2 instead

    Upgrade to 4.0.2 and then jailbreak it with redsn0w should do the trick. Right now I can not install openiboot it goes to Recovery Mode when it switches to openiboot.

    I'm using an iPod Touch 1g on 3.1.2 and I've got everything done but when I type the "./loadibec openiboot.img3" command after extremely carefully following all the other steps, it doesn't work. I get an error saying that ubuntu can't access the device and it needs to be in recovery mode (it definitely is in recovery mode).
    
    It took me hours just to get ubuntu (I'm using VM ware, I can't get Virtual Box to say anything other than "device is busy") to even see my usb devices and now with this I have no clue what to do. I've googled for hours and found nothing. I've been working on this since 1pm (now 5am) and haven't got it working and am just clueless at this point.
    
    Does anyone know how to solve the problem I'm having? I would really appreciate the help.

    im having truoble on mounting the game.i used previously backup manger 1.0
    and then i tried open backup manager 1.17 and still got a 8002f14 error when executing the game.

    ive been spanding hours to try using my 2g iphone to jailbreak.
    i got red snow jailbreak 3.1.2. after i end to install idroid. the iphone rebot
    load cuple filed and then quick get to somthing with karnel ( i cant even read it cuz its so quick).
    and restrat again to the iphone original systeam.

    I have tried to do this several times, and I constantley get "connection error: check usb ios"
    I am on FW 4.0.1
    3G
    jailbroken with Redsn0w_win_0.9.5b5-5
    openSSH installed through cydia
    
    iPhone info is:
    baseband:05.14.02
    bootloader:5.9

    I have tried using my MAC OSX Leopard, and window 7 64bit and they BOTH give me the same error when I run Iphodroid. I have rebooted both MAC and PC, and and reset Iphone. I have gone through the steps listed here 3 times now. Any suggestions are GREATLY appreciated...

    hey guys. im having problems with iphodroid again.
    everything worked fine for about 1 month... but yesterday i accidently pressed uninstall at the boot menu.
    today i wanted to put iphodroid back on my iphone...
    but now it always says "No connection: Re Jailbreak with redsnow"
    so i rejailbreaked my iphone with redsnow again... but still have the same message at iphodroid.
    
    using iphone 3g with 3.1.2
