There is a new version of Open Manager out, bringing the version to v1.16 by moh.sakhaii of PSX-Scene.

    v1.16 changelog
    —————-
    - patched mode returns and now works for hermes V3 and previous versions that include peek/poke calls (v > psgroove 1.1)

Notes: patched mode in hermes V3 is an aggressive mode for those of you who still have problems with hermes v3 normal mode, again do not use patched mode in normal games without issue or for normal operations like FTP/COPY.

You can download source below (no links to compiled PKG!):

Hmm so if you are not using hermes this update isn't that much of a deal if you have the previous one right?

If you do not have problems then you do not need it.

I backupped may SSF4 with Backup Manager (original) and I can´t get it to work with Open Manager 1.16, Normal Mode (no control) Patch Mode (EBOOT.bin error)

      What can I do?
Do I have to backup with Open Manager in Patch mode?
Do I have to move the game from Laun to Oman?

Yes, Brazuca, just move SSFIV to OMANXXXX and play with the patch.
The game will work, the game will only work with patch if it is in that directory.

You'll have to wait for the new PS3key update to support Hermes v3, update is finished but not yet released (testing):

Working great with psgroove 1.1. ssf4 works from external. Although I'm only using it for ssf4. All my other games run fine with the original backup manager. just sayin.

I used safeimage to create a OBM install file for a game backup that was 5GB.
It made it into 5 diff files and when I try and launch it using OBM it says eboot cannot be found. When I try to copy it to internal drive it freezes at 56/100 every time.

it should have more than 5 files.
it will split an individual 5gb file into 5 pieces but you still need the rest of the game along with it.

Yes. either ftp from an NTFS pc drive to PS# internal. or split to FAT32 and recombine to PS3 internal.

There is also a way of uncompressing .parsc(sp) files that are bigger than 4gb then putting it on FAT32

It's been answered but I never had that problem, so I tuned it out.

So what if I accidentally ran patched mode with a game that didnt need it? It says not to but I did on accident. What exactly does patched mode do? Does it actually mess with installed game files on your external HDD? Like would I have to reinstall my game then?

I installed this which replaced the one I had. And that's not all it did...it DELETED! a game I had BACKED up onto my hdd. Any thoughts on WHY! it did this?

Did you UNINSTAL the OLD one. Or JUST installed it over the OLD ONE. ???!!?!?!?!?

Installed it over the old one. I did however have another backup manager that I wasnt using...somehow I think when I got rid of that it got rid of the game. Which doesn't make any sense since I used the older open manager to copy it to the hdd. I mean why would getting rid of an older backup mananger I was NOT using at all have anything to do with deleting a game? How could it be apart of where it is located for that matter? Either way I redownloaded the game and backed it up onto the hdd AGAIN. It works fine but I just wanted this to be out in the open because it is what happend to me. And I don't know if it was suppose to or if it happend to anyone else.

when you uninstalled the backup manager that you backed up the games with, it will remove all folders associated with it. Such as the folder you backed it up to.

If you ever want to uninstall your backup manager, rename your game folder and it will be fine.

This is not a bug, and is well known to many. But it would be nice to give a warning, and how to avoid it in the "uninstall" confirmation screen. Just one game aint bad, but I got 12 games and I would be upset if I lost the hours it took. (upset at myself of course, but mad is still mad.)

I think if I get rid of any manager at all that I used to backup a game, if I do it at all I'll head into FTP and just take the game out first. Renaming it won't do anything. I don't even know what folder it installs the game into...I never was able to find it in the hdd0.

You "could" just ftp the games out, but if you are talking about many games, you could be talking hours just to back it up.

But renaming the folder works fine. For example, if in OBM it puts the games in LAUN12345/GAMEZ
then just rename LAUN12345 to tempgames. this wont even take 1 min.

Then when you remove OBM, it wont remove tempgames.

If you were to look for your game you backed up (on obm anyway)
