The folks over at Elotrolado have released a pretty snazzy version of Open Manager for the PS3.

Source code of Open Manager, for being modified by developersControls:
X: Runs a game
START: Runs a game directly, without having to access XMB (select game and press START instead of X)
O: Copies from internal HDD, external HDD or BluRay
^: Deletes a game
L3: Checks files
R3: Corrects file access permissions
L1: Enables/Disables controller/saves patch i.e. F1 (hermes v1)
R1: Enables/Disables FTP
R2: Switches between GAME/HOMEBREW modes
SELECT: Enables/Disables Loading game data fron external driveHow ir works:
Proper use of game installation (install game data) on external drive:*Note: if the game is already installed on internal drive, delete it using Game Data Utility in XMB
1. Run Open Manager v2.1x
2. Select the game to be installed on the external drive and press SELECT to mount the external drive
3. Press X and launch the game from the disk icon or app_home/ps3_game icon
4. Follow game’s installation steps and quit the game using PS when installation completes
5. Run Open Copy Install, select the installed game and press [] to mark on internal drive that the game as installed (if this step is omitted, installation will be requested again every time PS3 is reset)
6. All steps doneTo launch the game, always run OP 2.1x, select the game and notice that configuration for using external drive was saved. Press X and launch the game as usual.

open manager version number 5,002. looks like they added something about copying so this update is good for people that likes to copy stuff I guess I dunno...... still no big updates like it was meant to be last month with the mentioning of a psp emulator and dreamcast emulator, thing is we havent got not 1 update on the "progress" yea.....I have one more day till I upgrade if nothing ground breaking comes through between now and mid friday. This isn't a good start. I'll predict what's to come before the day is over 1. Backup Manager version 5,002 that supports a better interface and ftp app program number 203. :musicus:

Can I install and run this alongside original BM and OBM 1.17.1 from MOH? I'm using Hermes v4b payload and all working great but want to run games on 3.42fw.....

I can see that it runs games directly, without having to access \app_home\PS3_HOME On XMB. What if we took this feature and put it in XMBoot so we could launch games direct from the xmb link icon made by XMboot.
The we can run games direct with out having to enter backupmanager and lanuch games from the \app_home\PS3_HOME folder in xmb.
This have to be possible????

1. if i have PS3BREAK 1.0 without update to newer version, i can play backups without disc? (with open manager 2.1D?)
i try to select game and press START, the XMB do restart and nothing happens, no have logo of disc with the name of game and if i try to press on /app_home/PS3_GAME/ i got error 80028F14... help please!
2. now i have open manager v2.1A in spanish or some other language,
i want to install open manager v2.1D in english ... so i need to delete all games in my internal hdd and install the new OM 2.1D and again copy the games to internal hdd?
or just delete OM V2.1A and install OM V2.1D and all games run with no problem...?

Check your FTP client connection mode. I do not think obm FTP supports passive mode. Also make sure obm have started the FTP server. A
simply telnet to your ps3 ip on port 21 will do the trick. Btw the obm FTP server is not
stable. I suggest to use the blackbox
FTP server instead. Much more stable.

Hi Guys,
Im not able to play DBZ Raging Blast 2.
I use OM 2.1.
I copied the EBOOT from UFC 2010 to DBZRB2
Changed the PARAM.SFO to 3.41.
I switched PATCH>3.41 "On" also PATCH "On" (L1)
then "X" to launch but when i start the game from the XMB it stays black?
please what did i do wrong?
