Klutsh has updated his PSFmod to version 0.9.6.0.
psfMod 0.9.6.0 supports the following Android phones:
- HTC Desire CDMA (psfMod-bravoc-0.9.6.0.img) & GSM (psfMod-bravo-0.9.6.0.img)
- Google NexusOne (psfMod-passion-0.9.6.0.img)
- Evo 4G (psfMod-supersonic-0.9.6.0.img)
- Motorola Droid (psfMod-sholes-0.9.6.0.img)
psfMod 0.9.6.0 Changes:
- rebased on clockworkmod recovery v2.5.1.0
- updated pl3 with syscall35 support
- disc less playing of backups

Hello,
I love psfmod its great. It runs the package files very well. What does not work are any games. I placed the games I got in the approprite folder and they show up in gaia 6 but once I do diskless in gaia and press start it brings me back to xmb. I then go to one of the options in the game section of the xmb and it opens a opening screen to the game but then stops.
What am I doing wrong?

What is a s off bootloader. I have my Droid hacked with psfreedom zipped but I can't seem to get this one to work. I go to terminal emulater. Type such. Hit enter. Type flash_image recovery /sdcard/psfMod-sholes-0.9.6.0.img and it is not found. What Tom is everyone using? I have the image in the root of my sdcard. Help please

Umm what's up with all these u u u USELESS apps? Every week it's the same thing, last week it was some 5th ftp app being released now the trend is some Mod like program or the famous "update version of ________ app" that now supports being jailbroken by a vcr. What about all those goodies that was announced WITHIN DAYS of ps3 being jailbroken like playing Dreamcast games on the ps3 or PSP emulator(no updates on that if even being worked on right now) Now the best thing we got was a snes emulator if you can do a snes than you can do GBC/GBA/Sega emulator but nope. Now this app is good for people that know what this is(lol I don't) but good for people that like modding a game I guess(kind of pointless since you can't share it) The last thing I installed was way back september 3rd and we all know what that was...
so here's what i PROPOSE It's friday I've been off PSN for a month and 11 days missing out on MW2/ "friends" begging me to come back so if nothing mindblowing releases between now and NEXT FRIDAY than that's it I"M UPDATING. I wouldn't say Sony wins i'm just doing it cuz I'm bored theres nothing being released far as games goes.

Why wait till next Friday? Update now. The scene doesn't need another crying baby. If you're not ok with all these fantastic devs making their current apps better, connect to PSN and enjoy the suckfest 3.50 brings. I don't see you working on anything so stfu about the speed of scene releases. The ps3 scene is acutally progressing at an extremely fast pace. And right now these "useless" payload updates are the best chance to obtain all the fun stuff you're complaining we don't have. Its people like you that make devs leave the scene. Be a little more thankful next time, no one is required to make anything for you.

Hi, I've had no sucess with psfMod 0.9.6.0 for the droid, I've flashed it, rebooted into recovery, selected 3.41 for the FW version and plugged it in to the left usb port. turned on the playstation (i'm used to the raphael version so i hit reset about a billion times during boot) and all it says is usb device not recognized and the two */* items don't show up in XMB. I'm going to try 9.5.4 maybe it will work for me.
i made a video step by step of what i'm doing, maybe someone can point out a problem.

If anyone else has this problem on the droid it would be nice to know i'm not alone!

9.5.4 worked fine for me on my moto droid. It was very nice to have USB available again without having to do a full restore, and then another restore to JB again. I still might get a dev board sometime soon, but it's cool to see someone keeping up with this.
I'm going to give this one a shot in a few.

do you seriously get the unknown usb device error when it works? i've never had that message on any other kernel for the droid and i've only gotten it using the raphael when it didn't work at all. when the raphael did work i never got the message.

I only get the unknown device notice when doing something wrong, when the JB works I never see the message. Sometimes I don't hit eject fast enough, and that causes it to not work and shows that message. It will also show the message if I plug it in while the ps3 is running in normal mode.
My eject button is a little screwed up so here it how I get it going.. it's a 20gb system:
1) get psfreedom started loading on the phone
2) eject any disc from the ps3 and shut it down, then switch it off (slim needs to be unplugged)
3) once psfreedom is ready to go, plug it in and turn the switch on (plug in for slim)
4) tap eject a few times to make sure the pos button is going to work, it should beep three times but not start up (step not necessary if your button works fine)
5) tap the power button and then eject as quickly as possible.
I believe the max timeframe for this button combo is 0.2 seconds, and I believe you have to let go of the power before hitting eject
0.9.6.0 worked first try for me, no unknown device message. Now I just need to get the discless thing going (use Gaia Manager from developer drizztbsd)

So I've been having issues ever since I installed and used this. I could not get any game to run properly (tried Open Manager, Gaia, and BM). It would recognize the games, but not run my backups. I then went back to my old solution and my games worked fine again. Not sure what was up just thought I'd give everyone a heads-up.

I wasn't able to get anything to load up discless, maybe this new update will fix that too..
edit - nope. using the 0.9.6.1 for motorola droid and a pre compiled gaia manager rc8, on fw 3.41. with a disc in the drive it seems to be working fine, with no disc it hangs with a black screen. same result with 0.9.6.0 and pre compiled gaia rc6.

hmm ive installed 9.6.1 but i cant get it to work...the ps3 takes a minute to load and all but it doesnt work..just lets me do what id be able to do with no jailbreak

Just wanted to update you, I took a chance and did the format/restore under settings. psfMod 0.9.6.1 worked 1ST TIME after that, must have been a previous hack that went awry!
thank you all for your suggestions. especially the guy who said 'unknown device error' is normal. dumbass.

k guys, I installed earlier 0.9.6.0 and I couldn't run any backup (it showed only my original game disk). I use OM 1.13 ....what OM do I need to run it properly (now I will install 0.9.6.1 version).
And when psfmod will have payload's from hermes....I wanna play MOH finally

I just used unrevoked 3 and added the "psfMod-bravo-0.9.6.1.img" as custom and plugged my phone in JOB DONE.

so I've searched everywhere and cannot find a solution.
no matter what i try I always get the "flash_image: not found" after entering the command in terminal emulator. I have the .img file in the root of my sdcard and i have input the correct file name 20 times. I have also searched google and all the forums about the S-OFF bootloader and can't find anything. Also I am rooted with ClockworkMod recovery.
I'm at a loss here, can anyone help?
