    stoker25 creator of PS3 Registry (xRegistry.sys) Editor, has combined other usefull tools with his Registry Editor, here is a quote from his readme:

    I decided that a registry editor wasn’t enough, since I love to mess with file formats I thought I’d make a program that would (try to) open them all!

    Features:
    + PUP file viewer and extractor
    + Registry (xRegistry.sys) editor
    + SCE header viewer
    + Homebrew unfself — no need for SDK!
    + anything else anybody wants to add!

    Changelog: (Key: + = new, – = fixed, * = todo)

    v0.2:
    + SCE header loading
    + UnFSELF (for decrypted SELFs only)
    * SELF decryption
    * Update PKG decryption
    * Reorganise SCEEditor form

    v0.15:
    + Implemented xRegistry.sys Editor
    * new setting feature
    * change setting type

    v0.1:
    + PUP loading
    + PUP extraction
    * PUP creation

    ToDo:

    * Registry – new setting feature
    * Registry – change setting type
    * PUPFile – PUP creation
    * SCE – SELF decryption
    * SCE – Update PKG decryption
    * SCE – Reorganise SCEEditor form
    * PDB file editor
    * SFD system file editor

    Please remember that this is open source, which means anybody is allowed to modify or redistribute it. I only ask that any modified versions be posted with the source code.

    If anybody wants to add anything, be my guest :) maybe I could setup a git repo for it if enough people are interested…

    For people saying this is pretty bare right now, I know. I wasn’t planning to release until I at least had more things complete, but since I’m going to be away for the weekend I thought that I may as well release it now :D

      A noob question, is this a step towards CFW and or 3.42 game compatability?

      It might be. I was just checking and I found that a file named version.txt in the pup-file has a firmware number, for example RE5 has 3.40 and NBA Elite has 3.41 and so on... Maybe if you change 3.42 in MoH to 3.41, the game might be able to run? But I'm not a hacker so I don't know, just guessing :P

      I wish it were that easy, but unfortunatly they are Red Herrings put there by Sony.

      The issue is that 3.42 and above firmware contains Keys that the game requests when booting.

      If these keys aren't supplied then the game doesn't boot.

      Process is being made though.

      Most likely it’s a step in the right direction of an unofficial PS3SDK, and not necessarily a CFW.

      I'm actually really impressed with this. Its tools like this that need to keep coming out to keep the scene moving, great job and keep it up.

      ^^^ 100% agree, although the main things aren't out yet, tools like these will help make them happen! Can't wait for this scene to develop over time, gonna be very interesting!

      Was it possible to change the regioncode of bluray/dvd with the registry editor?

      Tools like these adds to knowledge base, and is music in my ears.

      After all similar to surfers, we are not looking for Waimea,
      but something next to our living room TV that can be as good as the Commodore 64.
