    Thanks to developer Xoeo, who developed this PSGroove PSN Payload, we can now play games online and access the PSN store on firmware 3.41 and 3.15 by

    using the .hex files below.

    Note: I’ve updated and organized this thread to make everyone’s life a lot easier.

    You now have a choice of either PL3 payloads or Hermes v4b payloads and it has been broken down into separate sections. Enjoy.

      i always could play games but with the whole 3.42 upgrades i cannot do it. I tried many things with SFO editor and download different EBOOT files but no luck e.g wwe smackdown2010, DBZ raging blast 2 etc....

      With this dongle i can load .hex files but which one do i need to choose please help me....

      I have ps3break 1.1 and I did open the PSN PAYLOAD FOR PS3 BREAK 1.1 and use the hex on my ps3break usb chip.
      Have I done it correct so far?

      How do I know its safe to connect to PSN now? what if i did something wrong so my ps3 will be updated?

      The worst thing Sony can do to stop this is probably just to block us from PSN again. I don't think they would actually brick people's consoles... But yeah, you can never be too careful. Let's hope it takes a while until they find out about this.

      Just to confirm: Everything works! PlayStation Store, PlayStation Home, and playing online You probably won't be able to play backups since they require you to have the latest version, but still. My purchased games works perfectly

      Indeed that all seems logical and pretty much how I see it to, as for backups im not sure, can't we update them with certain homebrew apps? I haven't tried it myself as I havent had time but I think I remember seeing something about it a while back.

      I cant find anything about anyone being ban from psn. It still works fine for me.

      Now does anyone know if this is simular to somthing like logans tool that can be easily patched by $ony, or because its actualy hardcoded into the system this will be more of a semi-perminant hack. Thanx in advance for your opinions!

      hey guys what i can i do ... i tested already with my P3hub and works well loggin on psn , but i have a big problem now its not loading the hermes payload

      (so my p3hub dont load games without disk) and i have to put the old version again ...

      i dont understand why , maybe because the p3hub have two extra USB ports , and works different...

      i installed the .hex for AT90USB162 16 mhz ( same as P3 hub1)

      can someone export it for the p3hub 1 ?

      this is nuts. I ordered my P3GO but the damn mail room is closed so I couldn't wait and used my ipod video 5g..Big ups to reala or whoever did the ipod port it worked flawlessly. Went online on MW2, downloaded demos, bought FFVII and FFVIII, funny thing, when running the JB, option to create internal memory card for PS1 and 2 disappears but restarting without JB and making one then going back in to play works just fine after installing the game. FFVII graphics are uhh yeh but epic game. Downloaded NFL 11 demo and 3 others, chatted etc on 3.41 I'm still mind blown here but signed off for now. Back to theory and Hegel, blehh..

      I was gonna say as far as updating backups go don't most dongle/payload/managers support this now? Everyone of mine has updated when prompted at game start. On psbreak 1.1 the updating screen is an odd, grey color but uncharted 2 got like 1GB of updates when I first launched the backup.

      Too bad I have no desire to play games online or purchase drm media one never owns but this is a brilliant project.

      There is less than 500mb free space left on hdd .. bla bla? I was not getting this with original hermes v4b and my ps3 hdd is no where full. Also I am unable to boot some games. I only tried f1 2010 but it gets stuck on lunch screen where you can see the loading logo working but nothing happens. :/

      FYI for the guys with a PS3key... there is a way to re-flash to the new payload but once you do it, you will NEVER be able to go back to the proprietary PS3key FW or receive support from them. after you do it, your on your own. you have been warned.

      im thinking sony are up to something, this loophole they surely would have closed in a matter of hours? do you think that with the release of black ops they are going to mimic microsofts approach with MW2 and wait for a vast amount of people to play a backup of black ops online and ban every one?

      i have been using this on my jailbroken ps3 with my legit games (battlefield, warhawk etc) but im thinking i may still get banned anyway, or im a being paranoid??

      On another note, i was reading over on another forum and they were discussing how some of these payloads work and make it so we are able to go online. Here are quotes from the OP

      "that being said all of the payload i posted here are using this (0x82)
      identification code witch tell PSN server that your a debugging station (witch unlike REFTOOL have similar hardware to retail ps3) however this doesn't mean that you are safe as there maybe other checks that sony do that we don't know about i.e. one check shows that your ps3 is a debugging station while the other show that its retail."

      There is that list of game codes stored on your PS3 (BCUSXXXXXX) that make the backup loaders and most homebrew stick out. All Sony has to do is check that if they can. I don't know why homebrew and backup loaders still don't try to mimic a random released title code.

      It's possible, but don't be surprised when your console becomes banned. It's not worth it yet to take that kind of risk, even if the backup you have is of a game you own. I would only use it to get legitimate game updates, sync information, re-download items you've bought off of PSN. Maybe if you have money in your PSN wallet drain it before a patch comes.

      this doesnt work for me, i installed the rockbox port and i see the extra 2 folders under the game, so i know it loaded from the ipod but when i try to sign into psn it says i need to update, i know a few others have had the same issue on other ports, but no one has addressed a solution. so does anyone know how to solve this issue? thanks!

      Does anyone know if the AVRKey version is working with leds in the PS3Key..? I saw a version on psx-scene that said it Psn with fixed the blinking leds. Is that the same has the one here..?

      im not that sure which detection method is going to use, but yes: you are probably detectable-depending on how far sony got. nearly everything is detectable...
      but as long u dont install something you are secure. its like in the old punkbuster days- when it was funny to hack

      I updated my ps3 break with hermes v4 payload and xoeo psn to get on live and I can if I am connected to an ethernet cable but I cannot connect to psn with a wireless router with xoeo, so looks like there is still a little more work to be done. I am in no way complaining but actually wanted to know if anyone else successfully connected with a wireless router to psn using this method.

      no reason to bash its not like i went online w/ modded codmw 2 to cheat in multiplayer or anything, really its just plain fun blasting the hell outta zombies while also helping people out with their missions and getting them things from the pawn shop, im not cheating anyone notice the word CO-OP. you sir are the FOOL
      even if i had modded a multiplayer game that was vs or deathmatch i would not play it online it really not fair- this is just plain fun tho
