Scummvm GX is a ScummVM emulator ported to the PS3. Now, you can all of your favorite classic graphical point-and-click adventure games.

ScummVM is a program which allows you to run certain classic graphical point-and-click adventure games, provided you already have their data files. The clever part about this: ScummVM just replaces the executables shipped with the games, allowing you to play them on systems for which they were never designed!

ScummVM supports many adventure games, including LucasArts SCUMM games (such as Monkey Island 1-3, Day of the Tentacle, Sam & Max, …), many of Sierra’s AGI and SCI games (such as King’s Quest 1-6, Space Quest 1-5, …), Discworld 1 and 2, Simon the Sorcerer 1 and 2, Beneath A Steel Sky, Lure of the Temptress, Broken Sword 1 and 2, Flight of the Amazon Queen, Gobliiins 1-3, The Legend of Kyrandia 1-3, many of Humongous Entertainment’s children’s SCUMM games (including Freddi Fish and Putt Putt games) and many more.

    Change log for build 08:

    - Bugs Fixed Noise Level (The Secret of Monkey Island VGA 256 and others)

People actually use this emulator? wow Interesting to know. Guess it's still considered a good step forward.

Yessirree, because the latest version of SCUMMVM has SCI support.. The original AGI versions of Sierra games where already playable in an earlier build.

This port isn't the work of the ScummVM team, because it's not using an opensource SDK like the PS3Light SDK, once the port is using that SDK (or any other opensource SDK) it can become an official port, which would be much better. But as I gather the PS3Light SDK isn't that far yet to have good graphix/sound support, so until then it must rely on the illegal leaked SDK's..

But being able to run scummvm on the PS3 is awesome, so thanx to the current porter for that...

Nope, as the Bladerunner game has (real) 3D elements which isn't supported by ScummVM but maybe residual will (it's like scummvm for 3D)..
Maybe in the future they'll merge, but don't count on it..

I guess you didn't play the original AGI version as it doesn't support mouse.. I can't check this build of scummvm does support mouse for other games as I still haven't psfreedomed my PS3.. Have you tried a game that on the pc does support the mouse?
