    Hi everyone, I’m developing an application for ps3 that lets you to open .txt/.cpp/.c/.h files directly from any place of your hdd.

    This is the first release of the Beta, current features are:
    - File Browser to select document
    - Option to increase/decrease font size
    - Option to increase/decrease number of lines of the document to be read
    - Return to File Browser when you are inside a document (R3)

    Note: I’m developing it yet, I will try to add more features, I will try to include Keyboard on screen to write directly to documents.
    This application was developed with SDK.

      Really? No "Will this let me play GT5?" comments on this?
      Must be nap time.

      Thanks for the app.

      Thanks for the app.
      I don't think so, if it could, multiMan had already some feature for that. Sorry but this is not related to GT5, it is like a Notepad for PS3. Sorry.

      I may be wrong about this, but my spidy senses are tingling, and I do believe he was being sarcastic.

      All jokes aside. This seems like a very useful app, thanks for releasing it!

      Nice to see a homebrew application for this.

      I always abused the XMB netfront Webbrowser for it or my OtherOS.

      Didn't multiMAN include this feature too? (can't recall, as the featurelist of multiMAN almost outgrows it's binairy size and Dean seems to update weekly adding more features :D)

      this will probably turn into a simple text editor after a while.

      Looks nice, I wish it was done with psl1ght

      For now I'm developing it with SDK, maybe in future, I decide to port this to PSL1GHT.

      I don't remeber multiMan have this feature, it can write to a specific file, it has a very basic interface for it, my job is to do an application that can do the things that Notepad can do in a computer.

      It won't be long now before PS3 is more useful than PC!

      I never thought I would be using it for text-editing, but it's a good app to keep around just in case.

      This isn't very useful if you don't have a 1080p wide-screen television. :P I can't even read the subtitles in some games, there is no way I'll be able to read a text file.

      Helpful.

      @Klaxxon: Font size will eventually be adjustable I would assume Klaxxon - that's an easy fix.

      Hey, you did it! And it opens source extensions, great job man! I've been thinking about setting up PSL1GHT and possibly coding or porting something up myself. Thanks and good job.

      Just went to give this a test spin... And yeah it wants me to update so clearly this was done on sdk 3.4x. Could you please notate the OP, and if anyone does a 1.92 compile I'd love to hear about it. This is why I like PSL1GHT. Thanks all the same though, definitely something I am excited about.

      To everyone interested in knowing the grow up of the app. Here is the changelog between the version released and the current one (being developed):
      - Supports now: *.txt, *.cpp, *.c, *.h, *.ini, *.bin, *.htm, *.aspx, *.php, *.asp, *.xml
      - Now files big (e.g. 1 Gb) doesn't take time to load
      - Added option to download things (will be used for update and download/open files from websites) - thanks to Gaia Manager

      I am working at the moment:
      - Update system
      - Write to files

      Hi everyone, I want only to alert everyone that is interested in this app, that I am installing now PSL1GHT and once I have it I will start to port it to PSL1GHT and include new things like a better gui and much more.

      Thanks for supporting PSL1GHT. Not only is it open source and community built, it is universal, everyone on any jailbroken PS3, no matter which firmware can use it!

      Right now I am having some problems while installing PSL1GHT but I hope I can bypass that.

      I think I have an idea to add PDF support but for that first I have to install PSL1GHT.

      Its looking like a decent start there. I can't see what happens when there is actually stuff on the list.

      My only suggestion would be that if you want it to be a full GUI, maybe add icons. At the initial screen have it broken down into functions for the app, ie click specific icon for specific task type, all relevant files would be stacked underneath that and would not show until clicked.

      You could either set it up to recognize file extensions, and list appropriately, or you can setup folders paths, and have the icon represent the path. Have a zip icon, a source code icon, txt icon, pdf icon, etc.

      This way we can sort through things we want to use easier. Having just a huge list of all relevant files could be daunting for some of us using this, organization is key. I suggest to let paths to folders containing our files be user selected and alterable! Or you could just use a bookmark system with the file browser looking anywhere.

      Thanks a lot, and I am glad to hear PSL1GHT work is moving along!

      Thanks for your suggestion, I will look for it, by the way I had already a similar idea, but you gave me some new nice details, thanks.

      Currently I am working yet, it doesn't support yet png because I only crash ps3 but I will look for it later. In this moment the following features are implemented in the app:
      - Open a document;
      - Fast reading;
      - Settings page: Font size, screen lines, background color, font color;

      I'm working now in many more things. Later I will look too for a file browser.
