klutsh known for his awesome work, of adding PSFreedom to Android devices, has updated his psfServiceMod to include more devices, also allows the ability to load hermes hex’s, here is a quote from his site and the full list of compatible devices:

psfServiceMod now for 17 different devices (and still more to come)

    So, what’s new about these?

    * Jailbreak FW 3.41 without an external payload
    * Direct Loading of Hermes .hex payloads
    * Now able to shutdown from in recovery

Yeah, I know not much, but something.
As before I can’t test these, but any bug’s can be put into comments or on IRC #psfreedom (freenode)

If you don’t know how to get these on your phone Google for a guide for installing ClockWorkMod without using Rom Manager (psfServiceMod does not work with Rom Manager)

    Thanks goto:

Big thanks to Klutsh! Anyone else having an issue on Droid that puts the recovery into black screen every other selection? It functions, but certain selections shut down the screen. Weird huh?

WEll gz on porting the payload, but does it really matter anymore? Now sure when the only dongle out there was the psjailbreak and it costing you $120 each these payloads were a blessing. But now with dongles being sold for as little as $20 why mess around with your phone?

@bigo93 why should i pay 20$ for a dongle, when my phone already does the job? if its "only 20$" how about you buy everyone who uses psfmod a new dongle

i appreciate psfmod and the work put into it. i would honestly rather donate to a dev working on free and open, than pushing another dongle out of the 600 available. All they care about is profiting and not helping the scene and/or holding back info that could help the scene because competition to put more money in their pockets. too much greed, i for one refuse to support.

I'm not having the problem you're having... mine's a bit worse!
HTC Evo 4g. Recovery boots but every selection seems to go to a black screen. Power button (which is the OK/select button on the evo) returns to the main menu every time though...

You can use, this method without Unrevoked
      http://theunlockr.com/2009/10/15/how...lready-rooted/

This is how you do it with Unrevoked, i would suggest installing the HTC sync app, then uninstalling

      @Gnomx
I have an HTC Desire too and had issues with UnRevoked (seemed a bit tempremental about flashing recovery images with me!), so I 'S-OFF'-ed (security off) my phone so I can flash recovery images through command line using the android sdk. Initially the 2 things you need are:

      1. To S-OFF your phone. Download the boot cd here: http://alpharev.nl/, burn the disc image to a cd, then boot it off your computer (i.e. set your computer to boot from the cd to load the program) and follow the instructions to flash the S-OFF HBOOT to you phone
      2. The android sdk. Download the .zip for whichever operating system you have here: http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html then extract it somewhere on your computer (e.g. mines in C:\TheKeirons stuff\android-sdk-windows

Then once you've set those up to flash a recovery image all you need to do is:
      1. stick your recovery image you want to flash to your phone in the 'tools' folder of the android sdk (i.e. C:\TheKeirons stuff\android-sdk-windows\tools)
      2. Restart your phone into Fastboot/bootloader mode by turning off your phone then turning it back on while pressing the 'back' button (you'll know its in the right mode because on the screen near the top it will say 'FASTBOOT' in a red box)
      3. connect your phone to the computer via usb
      4. Open a commmand prompt and navigate to the 'tools' folder (i.e. on windows for me it I type 'c:' to make sure i'm on the c: drive then 'cd C:\TheKeirons stuff\android-sdk-windows\tools' to navigate to the tools folder)
      5. Type the following (obviously replacing 'whatevermyimgfileiscalled' with the name of your file):
        fastboot flash recovery whatevermyimgfileiscalled.img
The img file should be written to your phone (it should be super quick) and thats it! Hope this helps

Using a Droid incredible and I'm a bit lost...

I have been jailbroke since the beginning but quickly got lost in all the updates.

I want to be able play my backups discless and to be able to backup GT5... other than that I got everything I need for now.

heads up to all the HTC Evo owners, i'm trying to find out from Klutsh if this update is for the 004 hardware and/or the new Hboot 2.02 evos. If it is, then the 003 hardware and lower Hboot evo's may not work and might cause some functions to not work on your rooted phone. There wasn't really a log to see what this update was about other than the addition of the shutdown directly from psfmod, service mode and the clean up of all the different FW.

other than that, i'm very excited about this and I do hope he makes one for both hardwares and hboots! Other wise its a teensy board for me
