Remember that video and claim by X3Max we reported to you about earlier for the 3.50 jailbreak? Well it seems that it is indeed a fake. It was nothing more than hype and a sad attempt to boost their sales. The 3.5 jailbreak was supposed to be released today, instead we were greeted with the most expected method.

Last week the 3.5 proof of concept video was released prematurely. There has been a lot of rumors circulating and criticism from the scene regarding our 3.5 solution. Our intention was never to get the communities hopes up in order to increase sales. The X3Max 3.5 solution is real and compatible with all existing and future models. We understand the community isn’t looking for an apology but an explanation as to why we’ve yet to release the 3.5 solution. We all witnessed how quickly the PSdowngrade was cloned – it’s crucial the same isn’t done to our 3.5 solution. We are now taking necessary precautions before releasing it to the public so it doesn’t suffer the same fate. Our group consists of experienced developers who’ve been involved in the console scene from the beginning and have worked on many different projects. The X3Max from the jump has never been about marketing hype but about pushing the envelope. Without a doubt we’re going to continue to do this as the scene evolves. While many will label us as greedy pigs we’ve invested thousands into hardware. Truthfully as a business, one of our goals is to earn a profit while bringing the community the best development dongle that isn’t priced outrageously.

It’s a no brainier that the X3Max has just blew their little reputation out of the roof. We recommend all of our members to never buy a crappy clone, but to make your OWN (its really not that hard), and remember that whatever the various PSJB clones are selling is actually the free work of PS3 hackers available to everyone

Scumbags. If there's a REAL 3.5 exploit, xorloser, graf_chokolo or one of the other great PS3 scene devs will find it. I hope this causes x3max to go under.

Wow, after me leaving the PS3 hack scene little over a month ago looks like there isn't much going on besides a bunch of fakes and crappy ftp/backup manager # 30000. What happened to that Dreamcast emulator they mention like 3 months ago? Still no GBA emulator? other than that the PS3 can pretty much do anything else without being hacked. PSP hackers= 8.9 out of 10. PS3 hackers 2.3 out of 10. Looks like Sony got this thing rigged good. Tchao!

Lets wait and see .. I remember alot of other videos and delays that have been stamped 'fake'. Truth is that even if this proves not to be fake most of the jb users will wait for an open source solution and no one will give a fart about the time and effort that this team had put into it.

There IS a gba emulator. And if you think that a dreamcast emulator can just be made like that, your dreaming. Its people like you that keep the scene down. There has been great strides in the community. Why would you even care about 3.50 jailbreak when you can just downgrade? I now its nice thing being able to play all these things on higher firmware, but it takes time and effort to do these things. If your just wait and don't whine about stuff not being made, than you will get what you want. Why don't YOU do something instead of being a jerk.

@noob2009 : the PS3 is the most protected nextgen console. that's why it took 4 years to be hacked and that th 3.42+ firmware is still unjailbreakable (so far).

I ordered a E3 card and about to jailbreak i also ordered a 7200rpm 750gb internal hard drive what manager would u recommend is the best one also do u thank i will need to order a external usb drive little help with what is best to start with i been reading alot but ppl dont really say what they thank is best so on im 350 as of now ill downgrade when it comes in. Sorry if in wrong spot not sure were to post these questions so sorry if in wrong spot.

why so quick to call if fake? fair play to them to delaying it to try and somehow protect it from getting ripped off. its well priced and when and if it does get released then it will turn the scene upside down. if its fake then kill them all lol
i say give them a chance and lets see what happens
ive just ordered a new 320 gig slim ps3 with move bundle so now i have best of both worlds while the scene develops

It doesn't say anything about this being fake. It says that the reason it's delayed is because they want to ensure that nobody steals their way to hack 3.50, like everybody did with PSJB's Downgrade.
Who ever put this up should invest in a pair of glasses and the latest edition of best selling book, Reading for stupid.
X3Max is still by far the best retail dongle out there. And if you don't feel like building your own, X3Max is the best choice, 3.50 support or not.
3.50 support with X3Max was confirmed to be true by garyopa, a well known and respected admin over at PSX-Scene. So calm down and give the X3Max team some time to make sure that their product stays their product. And if you feel like this is fake, don't buy the dongle until it has been OFFICIALLY confirmed as a big fake.

You guys reallly think that they would be able to jailbreak 3.50 before they could jailbreak 3.42??
3.50 would only be the firmware worth mention since that would allow you to play backups online.
3.42 jailbreaking wouldnt be any big news and wouldnt increase their sales since it would have the same functionality as 3.41JB

Donnt get things wrong they never said they will "release" at sunday they said news on sunday and the old 72hour release thing was not from their site lets wai and if they have the master key then i am sure it will work on 3.55 but it will require 1gb at least otherwise they would keep their dongles as they were no need to give 2gb on the old price.Also they said 3.5x not 3.50 on their site.

Why is everyone jumping on the "ITS FAKE" bandwagon? Just because they didn't release something. I'm all about the open source and I think the scene thrives on it.... but also, i'm not against people gaining capital off of their hard work. Its gonna get cloned an hour after its released so wtf are you all babbling about....I mean, its like a kid who just learned to skip. he runs out and shows his friends. Its not perfect but he works on it a little more....
