X3Max has released their PS Downgrader today (3.50 Downgrade). They claim that the downgrade does not break BluRay player functionality, but reports claim otherwise.

there is none, and this is a thread regarding the downgrader not the jailbreak, i thought they had released this long ago!!
these guys are incredible, they are the 2nd team announcing the jailbreak when it first came out, last team to release a working jailbreak solution, second team to announce a downgrader, last team to deliver it LOLOL.
They fail epically.

Question to E3 now that i downgraded with the bata will i have to upgrade back to 3.50 then im guessing play a blu ray then downgrade again im guessing this would work if indeed this is a fix

Hi im Beans i used amaze break (clone) but i paid 6.95 for it I downgraded fine no issues with my Blu-ray worked greak. i bought it from www.dealextreme.com only downfall it took 25 days to get here ordered nov 22 just got here a few 2 days ago:musicus:http://www.ps3hax.net/ps3/smilies/mu...icus::musicus: but it worked with jailbreak and pkg satisfied for price and upgrading the damn thing is easy as hell

guys dont use 3.41 modified one while i was downgrade i used it but after that i realized something wrong with my ps3 it stuck if i tried to play a song or a video
and every time i tried to sign in i get this error with a code of course u know what am talking about at first i didn't know the reason so i decided to downgrade again to 3.15
then i updated again with 3.41 but not the modified one but the original one and now my ps3 works fine with everything the sign in mp3s and videos
but the spoofing way didnt work for me i still cant sign in i dont know why by the way i didn't receive any agreement when i was on 3.50 like u did but at least i dont get that error right

yeah if u noticed from what i said the error u get when u try to sign in if u downgrade with the 3.41 modified one but i dont get that error after i updated with the original 3.41 but at the same time i cant sign in but at least there is no more error

the 3.50 spoofing never got us online . it was the psn payload that got us online a while back . psn payload and the 3.50 spoofing was 2 diffent things

okay i've downgraded my old fat ps3 the one released in 2008 with the x3max downgrader it seems that only a few models loose their capability to playback their bluray like the older 60 gb fat models a chart over at Psx-scene shows the compatibility of bluray playback after downgrading and mine worked fine no problems tested out with indiana jones and the kingdom of the crystal skull playe back perfect

Hi all. I feel really stupid for upgrading, (i knew it broke Linux support a while ago) - but here I am. At the moment I have 3.55. If I were to buy that x3max dongle would I be able to revert to 3.41?

there is currenty no jailbreak solution for firmware 3.55 incidently The team behind the X3max have come up with a 3.5X solution so my advice is to hold up before buying a dongle see if it is a legitimate solution and then purchase the dongle don't rush into it or another solution would be to buy a new console with firmware 3.50 and downgrade using any other dongle to 3.41 and in the future please donot update unless absolutely necessary to do so
