It is the hexadecimal number of units they must sell before they can break even and stop posting garbage all over the internet to boost sales. Put up or shut up fellas.

I have ordered a dongle of x3max. I hope that its true what was told the last weeks. If its so is like to order much more. I think, when its true, their work vote to be paid. No matter what anyone else might say.

I feel for you mini, but the best practice is to only buy things when there is concrete evidence of promised features and functionality. Lots of people make vaporware on the internets. Some of them even excel at selling it too.

miniudavid, dont worry about the naysayers. Regardless of if they have 3.50 first or not (for if it comes out anywhere, everyone will have it eventually) your new dongle will be just as good as anyone else. The naysayers, just like a little mellow-drama.
Im hoping these numbers lead to something significant. But, im fine where we stand right now on the break scene. I hope any new exploit is held out for as long as possible. I would like to able to play some of the great 2011 releases when its released.
And we all know, as soon as any exploit is found, it will be patched in days/weeks, and sdk will be updated. And within a month all games will require an update.
But I hope this is something good.

I too hope something pans out from them. Breaks for future firmwares would be nice.
Would these numbers be some sort of markers for offsets in firmware to allow our breaks to work on 3.50 (in the same way changes were needed to make them work on sub-3.41)?

A few years back the same thing happened at the PS2 with HDL and there/then the solution used was to split the data to large to fit inside a filesystem block across several blocks (very much the alike with the split files we use with ComGenie/4Gsplit, Open Managers etc. - the only thing that is missing now is a way of transparantly mounting the splits as a single file to enable playability without transfer to internal)
What I would like is a way to make sure the dump is correct and complete, like MD5/SHA1/HMAC_SHA1 etc).
Not everyone has a bluray in this PC or wants to stress the PS3laser, so I guess downloading the games they have is a very viable and legal solution for them. With discless support, alot people with a broken bluray can still enjoy playing the games they payed for. For me every hour the laser isn't used, is an hour added/saved to the lifetime of my PS3 and an hour less my games need to be outside their safe archive environment.
btw: playing burned discs, swapping etc. could be done years before jailbreaking showed up. There is no need for ISO support, you can just extract the files to a single folder and mount them.
