• Homebrew, PS3 Hacks , 27.02.2011

    jjolano’s OpenPS3FTP v1.4 has been released. The latest update brings mainly bug fixes, and improvements. Full changelog quoted below:

    [Version 1.4 - February 26, 2011]

    • Added more return codes
    • Another new command parser (even better)
    • Moved IP retrieval function to its own thread (no more hanging; method still requires internet)
    • Now detects all known dev_flash writable mount points
    • Rewrote/reengineered alot of functions
    • Added a little more user-friendly information on the screen
    • Moved PASSWD and EXITAPP commands under SITE-specific commands (see SITE HELP)
    • Changed LIST format to somewhat match “ls -a -l”
    • Greatly shortened code
    • Improved performance and stability
    • Fixed some bugs
    • More FTP client compatibility

      what we really need is a app to take screenshots or videos since videos and screenshots posted of homebrew looks like its from the 80s

      programming take time. you dont need to be graphic in a program that only send off ftp signal that just look hook your ps3 to network

      I totally agree, im just saying people could create some other apps rather than just ftps and backup managers.

      Also how much better is this than Multiman's buil-in FTP server?

      I recommend using this and it is allready ready to be used for your CFW just install the right PKG

      To the OpenPS3FTP devs - awesome work. Works like a charm, nice set of upgrades. This is comfortably the most stable and reliable FTP server on PS3.

      Love your work and appreciate the effort.

      I was considering making the switch from Blackbox 1.2 to OpenPS3FTP v1.4

      How does this compare in terms of speed and reliability?

      BlackBox has never given me any trouble when using FlashFXP or Filezilla as a client but I think I should go with something more current.

      How do you guys like it?
