graf_chokolo has contributed many things to the PS3 scene. He just reported that his home was raided by German police and all his computer(s) were confiscated to grab any data possible related to the PS3 (obviously issued by Sony). IDA database is the documentation, it contains all my knowledge, Linux booting is also there. It contains all the code i used to patch HV 3.41 and boot Linux. So, PS3 devs, grab it and continue my work. It contains just everything i know about HV, storage devices and so on.

Heh... one of the best HV hackers for the ps3? really? I will never buy another sony product again just for all their p*ssing and moaning they have been doing about their "wonderful" system. Yeah it was pretty great at 1st *before* you took out otherOS. I personally have 2 ps3s at the moment, one on kmeaw 3.55 and one on ofw. sad thing is i logged in yesterday on my ofw and apparently i havent played online since the 2nd of this month. I think $ony is taking this too far, not just because i personally hate them for pulling a lawsuit against anyone who even turns on/off the machine a way that they didnt intend you to do, but for how they are doing it and what they are doing to their consumers. I am hoping for a new nintendo console to come out just for this reason. Who remembers how ****y Sony were before the Wii came out, slating it and all, then finally copy their main selling point and still trail in sales. Now, as they begin to pickup momentum, they pull all this crap.
I own a Wii (always owned Nintendo actually) but haven't had an Xbox (either model. Makes me angry how much money I personally have thrown Sonys way. I won't sell what I have, even though I should.

damn, sony is going hard, all b/c they want to ensure there stock holders to keep investing in there system b/c there security has no flaws, but its sad that they are doing things like this b/c in all honest the ps3 homebrew community is small maybe 100,000 people so even if they never did such things as start to try and stop homebrew community, i don't think they would lose money b/c of the homebrew community but now with what they are doing with breaking down people's houses and taking stuff, just to take them, b/c they think they are above the law, will leave a bad taste in consumers mouths and will deter them from buying future sony products.
Its like sony wants to treat every end user who is using ps3 homebrew on console like we are Juilian Assange, turning this whole thing similar into a wiki leaks situation, and you see what happened when they tried to go after Juilian, people stood up for his defense and said he did nothing wrong, Graf and the people in homebrew community are doing nothing wrong, we are simply in our own network of the world with our homebrew on our console and are not running and telling everyone hey the ps3 is hacked you should hack it too. No so how can they justify these attacks on people just simply living there lives.
Due to this sony is going to lose a huge percentage of users b/c from this i will not buy another console from them, i will stick to linux OS on my computers and laptops, and stick to my linux operated android phone b/c i love open source and thats what the ps3 should be, a open source community of gamers, not controlled and regulated by sony.
Sony has to understand at the end of the day the people/consumers make them, no people/consumer no money, if every ps3 owner turned off there ps3s and stopped playing for a month sony would feel the burn and that might actually happen as no one would buy there games or system and then they would lose money which would hurt them in long run b/c the people/consumers are who are giving them money.

Does it not seem really strange to everyone that none of this seems to have made main stream news.
A Company as big as Sony have had their System Security broken, taken legal action against several people, had computer equipment siezed, been involved in raids and yet nothing seems to have made the news....You'd have expected so called "HACKER/S" who have had law suits filed against them which has so far led to at least one person being placed on a TRO and all his computer equipment taken from him would have been a worthy main stream news story...But nothing..?
We need to find some way to get all this into the puplic eye...let the average Sony customer see and understand how this company works and the lengths it's prepared to go to.
We need to get behind the few unfortunate people that are taking the full force of Sony's legal department. Making this as puplic as we can, can only help them...and most importantly let the rest of the world know that they never actually own their Sony products...
There's nothing more powerful than angry consumers, they can break a company in weeks....
Sony brandish the words "HACKERS" and "PIRATE" and "CHEATS" to try and convince the consumer and/or authorities that CFW/HOMEBREW is a really bad thing.....
How would the general consumer respond if they knew that certain Sony products have the abillity to "SPY" on them, that Sony new exactly what they'd been watching, playing etc, and that personal information was collected and stored on "INSECURE" servers/networks..Can you imagine how many parents would panic and tell little Jimmy that he couldn't use their credit cards on PSN and how many people would panic about potential fraud and identity theft and stop using PSN ?
If Sony started recieving some kind of backlash from not only a few CFW/HOMEBREW users but also the average consumer, they might be forced to revise their thinking !!

All aspects of Sony may be involved in this, but it is the American section that is crippling the PS3 and also bringing the accusations against people. The reason why? These cases would have much less luck of being found in Sonys case in almost any other country where Sony have an interest. We need to try and let these people know (somehow) that we are not all pirates and/or cheats, that the majority of us just want FREE games/programs and that they could have it too. Mention the word FREE to the average Joe and you'll get their attention, then tell them that some great big bully is trying to stop them having FREE games/programs and watch the response....
We need people to understand that Sony is dictating what can and can not be done with a System people believe they own, and that the bad guys are not the ones giving away FREE stuff, but the bullies trying to stop us from having it....

If this is true, it now posses a problem for Sony....
What would happen if somebody (anonymously of course) released the NPDRM Keys, Sony could not automatically blame anybody....
It's got to be thought that Sony would have had good reasons for getting a warrant to carry out the search, they couldn't say "well he has Linux installed", that is not going to get a warrant...They must have claimed that they believed he had the security keys...
Which means they have had to say they think at least two people had that information, so if it now got released they couldn't automatically blame anyone and would have to find/prove who had released it....!!! just thinking out loud....lol

The first guy I spoke to tried to tell me that there's no way to remove my personal information from PSN, so I threatened legal action and asked for a supervisor :D

On another note, all of you who are saying "Sony took OtherOS and started taking legal action (which if you were put in their shoes you might have done the same thing) so I decided I wasn't going to pay for my games anymore" really? Smack yourself upside the head for me, please. One broken law isn't fixed by another, committing piracy makes you no better than Sony, actually it makes you hundreds of times worse.
You're twisted reasoning is that Sony's actions have given you the right to pirate games in retaliation and deprive game developers (who are not Sony, fools) of a cash benefit for the time, resources, and effort they put into a video game so that you can enjoy it on your home console.

Wow I didn't really expect them to go after Graf, this is pretty serious. The best thing we can all do is keep mirroring the files everywhere, that will be the toughest part for Sony. The judge already indicated that removing info that is already out there is impossible "just Xerox a copy". So, based on that mass distribution is the most effective way of helping Graf, Geo and others. It will be even better if people with the skills (not me unfortunately) start working on what Graf has come up with and push out more HB and possibly speed up a 3.56 FW.
