in a word...WOW

Not to be rude or anything...but can't we already do all this stuff without the pain of sticking in a usb.
I don't understand the point of it.

wtf is a "stick" ? and where'd you put it? :o (no pun intended)
just kiddin - cool that people are still developing on 3.41...

It has some really nice features But I already own 2 useless dongles so I am not going to invest any more money into hardware devices to jailbreak.

just cant do that with a usb i bet theres a few pkgs or something aswell

Like someone said over at the psxscene forum, no point in throwing money away on a usb thing with these features when most likely these features will eventually end up "free". All we need to do is wait for the devs to get ahold of it. ;p

the last dongle i bought became a micro sd reader and my ps3 does everything it did with it thru cfw so ill have to pass thanks for the info though :P

ps1 iso's....hmm, wonder where the ps2 iso loader is hiding?

Its nothing too exciting. We can already do most of this stuff with multiman not the isos but you can use avchd in a folder format which is way better than having an enclosed iso esppeciallly for movies and blurays.
and you dont want to play game isos. We can already play folders which is better since we can edit and add stuff freely and not have to convert back into iso format.
like dead rising 2 cheat codes. or any cheat codes it would be a pain to have to convert to iso everytime you wanted to make a small change same goes with movies since we have to test alot of them.
and this is for 3.41. a bout 2 years too late. we can already do all this on 3.55
It would be gold if it could use the keys that are already available and do this for 3.56
Ive heard of the keys being available along time ago except no one has made it user friendly yet.

Everybody (not just here) keeps asking where the ps2 loader is. The problem with that is not all ps3's play ps2 games.
Something like the ps1 iso loader seemed like it'd have been pretty easy work to me since the ps3 plays ps1 games. Just have the game manager emulate the ps1 disc just like it does a ps3 disc, and let the ps3 do the rest..
With ps2 games, that won't work since only select ps3's can play them.

So it wasn't really a waste for you.
As long as they didn't cost you hundreds of dollars, you probably had a lot of fun with them, while they were needed.
It's not all that bad.

Maybe Dean will put those features in multiman. I expect so.

I hope that is all true, region free dvd's and ps2 isos would be a plus:thefinger:

off topic, how can geohot be in the docks when you have companies making money off the ps3 pirating scene?
on topic, i dont think its worth the money, multiman will have it or we will get a pkg or a cfw with all this included. at the minute we are in devhook mode with the ps3. soon we will have a cfw that will do all this with installation

this is sum cool sh*t ps1 iso dvd iso blu ray iso i got a few disks i wanted to burn but i now i don't have to i hope it mean we can play the iso like any other legit disk with access to menus and extras
to bad its only for 3.41 hopefully the kmeaw CFW team implements this soon
also this did not mention anything about ps2 games but i guess thats what usb advance is for

hmmm I wonder if the people behind this managed to get the NPDRM keys and decrypted and edited ps1_rom.bin to just run any iso because I seriously doubt they developed a separate ps1 emulator to do so

• Supports versions up to 3.50 (console must be running 3.41)
how can you support up to 3.50 if you have to be in 3.41 thats a contradiction.
And isos suck they used to be cool but now we can put folders onto our hard drives and play them.
an iso would only be good if it was on ur pc and ur trying to burn to disc.
but for downloading an iso you have to download the whole iso. with a folder you can pick the files you want and only what you need.
ISOs would be a great option if they had some sort of compression

I read somewhere it only allowed ps2 game play from backup if you had a system capable of playing ps2 games already.

I think the reason that geohot is in the docks and usb dongle companies that actually make money off this kind of thing are scott free is because geohot jailbreak with a vengeance, he wasn't trying to hide his identity, just make homebrew which is legal. He was angry that Sony took away something that belongs to the people who bought their consoles, you should be too. These guys pirate and therefore hide their identity which is why theres no legal case against them. Such a shame that Sony took the easiest path and just nabbed the most noteable hacker they could find instead of trying to stop pirating.

Man, I bought a PS3 - 60GB FAT just so I could play my PS2 backups (burned to DVD-R's) and now I find out that I can not play them. that kinda blows. I hope someone releases a PS2 ISO/DVD loader or something for us PS3 Phat owners...
