Wow, Graf you rule. Guys lets help Graf out with the testing here, it's the least we all can do. Can someone explain what BD access there can/could be from this? I don't know enough about it to surmise.

Thanks a ton graf, your efforts are greatly appreciated and I cannot help but admire how your spending your limited free time before trial.

I highly suggest you post on your blog for legal help if you already haven't, even if it means accepting donations to get a lawyer....this way u can continue to focus on your ps3 hacking and let someone else worry about fighting Sony on your behalf.....after all, we don't want them winning any cases against any hackers.

Nice, Graf, if you are reading this thanks for your efforts.

I currently have a vanilla 3.15 system which I currently keeping vanilla until a good replacement for OOS in later firmwares is released (preferably something which works with existing distros).

Sony needs to reorganise their priorities if they continue to chase hackers they could lose against LG and if that happens the PS3 is in trouble and hackers won't really have anything new to hack

When sony realise that we own our hardware and can run home brew on our ps3 if we want to. he should sue them for the disruption then request access to files so we can have full access to the architechture were funding

does this mean that we could flash the BD drive to play backup disk / blu rays and then just put the current firmware back on for psn access

ok we would lose homebrew but we would get psn and backups ???

      that would hurt sony

you will have to compile this, it is a new kernel for linux. so i would suggest that you install linux on ps3 (anything that works by now, eg debian) and then go and download the archive. for compiling your own linux kernel from source there are tons of guides in the net.

You should think that kernel 2.6 is a new version? The first 2.6 kernel was released many years ago .. I doubt the PS3 works with 2.4 (the earlier)

Lol....there are hundreds of Linux kernels (not for PS3 but in general) each one starting from 1.0 and going up

      This is Grafs 2.6.!!

Keep up the good work Graf!!!

If you need the complete revision number: linux-2.6-5c61cdc kernel.

There is also a new multiman 01.16.04 today, and it isn't new also. New in both cases means modified / updated

Go away... it's morons like you that give the community a bad name and why Sony is cracking down on people like geohot and graf.. Just buy your games, the damn games aren't even that costly, just look around before you buy, most new games should be able to get for 40 euro's max, and if the games is even longer on the market is drops rapidly in price. If that's still too much for you, then go find another hobby, you knew the price of games when you bought the PS3. So you laming loosers who all cry for being able to play illegal games, SOD OFF!!!
