• PS3Hax: Going Full Width, Full News Posts, Multilingual

    General, PS3 Hacks , 03.04.2011

    I have decided to alter how the news posts are made on the front page and PS3Hax will now be going full news posts on the front page. In addition (you probably already noticed), I have expanded the width of the front page news posts, and made it much easier, cleaner to read news posts. Lower resolution people, don’t fear a code has been implemented to automatically switch you to a slightly modified width so you don’t have to scroll left and right on the home page.

    In the next few days we will also be going multilingual and any post made in any language will automatically be converted to YOUR set language (usually English). I will update this post when that change goes live.

    Hopefully the changes will make PS3Hax a much nicer place to read your PS3 hacking news :)

      Just a little tip if your using FireFox, like me, when u looked at the site, the text was rather small, follow these simple steps

      You can configure Firefox to display all text at a minimum font size. If a web page contains text that is smaller than your defined minimum size, Firefox increases the font size of the text to this minimum. To set a minimum text size:

      At the top of the Firefox window, click on the Firefox button (Tools menu in Windows XP) and then click Options
      Select the Content panel.
      In the Fonts & Colors pane, click Advanced....
      In the Minimum Font Size drop-down, select the minimum size in points in which all text must be displayed.
      I set mine to 15 and the front page looks LOVERLY!!!!!

      Oh shoot thanks! I've been really squinting over here when i browse sites with my 42" LCD. Completely forgot I can adjust font size haha.

      Looks a lot nicer in the wide display! Hope it works well when I browse with my BlackBerry too

      Am using a 16:10 monitor at 1440x900 and it still shows some pretty BIG sides but it's way better than before i guess.

      GOOD $H!T Though.

      it will make the whole screen bigger, just stop when the actual page fills the screen, and in the opposite way by pressing
      Code:
       Ctrl -
      it will make the screen smaller, so zoom out till u dont have to scroll across anymore

      i really am hating this new full news front page...seems i be the only one,why have full news on the front page ,,surely little snippets were better and it makes the page a resonable size,,not bloody maaaaasssssssive!

      but i think i the only one who dosent like the new layout,so who cares!

      just wanted to say i liked it better before the change. The information seemed more organized... now it just takes more time to find what you are looking for.

      Loving the new look of the site but I have noticed a slight bug, in the top news section.. it states that this Thread alone has 2,349 comments when it actually has only 30 (including this one) :-p

      Yeah the top news area is still broken and are working on it to display the right count.

      I decided to add this for people that don't regularly check PS3 scene news, and seeing the "highlights" of last week or current hottest news is a good place to check

      new look is great, i just thought i would leave some feedback, when i watch my fav site ( ps3hax.net of course ) in my galaxy S captivate, ( And 2.2) it will lag the hell out of it, dont know why, earlier design did not, on my other devices it works flawless

      While the scene is dying due to lack of cfw news, ps3hax has now become the front runner of ps3 talks. Now with the the new fantastic look, things are only getting better. Good job and keep up the good works!!!

      Funny people think the scene is dead when there is nothing left to pirate for them or they are that addicted they need to be on the latest FW

      Added a stats bar to forums, it shows the new posts since your last visit and various other of nice information. Let me know what you guys think.
