The French Ps3 development team, known as Team PS3-Devs Addict have released a second version of their 3.55 CFW, which is said to have the same stability as Kmeaw, here is a quote from the Change Log:

Ok im going point out somthing .Make sure you have your console qa flagged to extra so you can downgrade after using this so as not to get into the position where you will only be able to install 3.66 fw`s..the 3.66 spoofer is not unmountable

i understand about the spoofing, with firmwares higher and for updates, but what else is it for?
can you patch app_ver on 3.55 without spoofing?, i know on hermes 3.41 you dont need to edit the param.sfo file because it wont restrict you.mass effect2, homefront,virtual tennis,la noire,fight night, duke nukem (3.60),infamous 2 all work fine, mutiman will ask about patching sfo file but its not needed.
only two worlds 2,gt5 required an edit to make it work with an update,
just curious as i dont like to edit to many files other than the eboot/sprx

Greg I have all those things except background FTP which is a nice feature. We thank Kmeaw, Kakaroto for MFW, and rebug, but this is almost their collaborative work. I have PUPs and never released them because they were not officially my own work.

what can i do with the debug settings? how is that useful to me? i dont bother with otheros, i bought the ps3 to be a video game console, and dgaff about linux. i dont bother with FTPing stuff to or from my ps3, i can install my own dynamic themes, custom icons...meh. ill stick to good odl kmeaw until i see a CFW that add new things and not just use whats already out there. also with the 3.66 spoof can u still use recovery mode to install OFW3.55?

just an question can i install windows xp or something with otheros ++? I want to try something i have windows 7 running normal with 512MB ram and windows xp with 165 MB ram. I want to test that on my ps3 :P or can someone explain how to do this?

Dont know why but just installed this and after changing display settings screen went blue with funny german writting and then ps3 shut down and the system was bricked, that was from downgrading then to upgrade to this so anyone who is installing this be carefull im gobba have another go with it and see what happens.

A bit more info from the last post i have a fat ps3 checho4 . the system starts up ok after installing the 3.55 pup but few minutes in it shuts down and blue screen then bricked. Im gonna test it again i will let u know the outcome .

i've got the 60GB fat ps3 (cechc03) i installed this firmware but no options came up when i tried it, i then went back to rebug after ofw, then my ps3 randomly shut itself off. at this point i thought i had the red light of death but after formatting hdd a few times and changing firmwares back and forth then to kmeaw the problem has seemed to fix itself, theres a serious problem with this firmware if u have a fat 60GB ps3 be very careful

Just installed again for the second time and same thing has happened,when setting the display settings to full hd it shuts itself down blue screen and then shuts down,shame it looks promising hope that it could be fixed.

Hey all you guys, i updated my ps3 to this PS3A rev 2 fw.
First what i did is updated to 3.55 original firmware in the xmb menu and then entered the recovery mode and updated to PS3A rev 2.
Then i booted up super street fighter iv arcade edition (pal) that needs fw 3.60, in multiman i said no to edit .sfo file to 3.55, and it booted up perfectly through an original game inside the ps3.
This is good to go.
PS: i did see some weird stuff, like when i exited multiman or the ftp program, the resolution was blown up with half of lightgreen screen and had to reset to hdmi and one other time it booted up in recovery mode when i exited multiman.
What i did: i renamed the ps3 update file and put it outside the UPDATE folder, its now still running good, i have to do more testing.

Does anyone Know what "mount writable flash", "anonymous" and "list all" means?.
This options appear in the Open ftp v2.0, which appears when you install it from Pkg manager.
