How did you build in OtherOS++ support with MFW Builder?
I downloaded v0.2 and was playing with it and couldn't find any OtherOS related options, but there's a lot to configure that I don't even begin to understand so it might be one of those. Just wondering.

The patches that make the other main firmware for QA Flag have a little problem with the tropheus, this one too?
And i heard that something with the QA flag envolved(i think is the main cfw of QA flag) format the ps3 hdd, this one do it too?

my firmware has no trophy problems when you make your firmware just make sure you unchecked the box that says allow access to all ss services you'll find it in the patch LV1 hypervisor options .as long as that is unchecked you wont have trophy problems

thanks varaques, i updated my pal ps3 with ps3a rev 2 and it works well, i got lucky but i can't say it works on all pal ps3's.
i got a phat ps3 with a 40 gig harddrive originaly and upgraded it to a 320 gig hdd (got that from my wife's vaio laptop from sony ehehhe)
thanks for clearing it out on which type of firmware your used originaly, it would be a big help to know head on if it is ntsc, pal or jap, incase of bricks and other malfunctions.

I made my own CFW based on rebug per their instructions using MFWB so I could get rid of the trophy error. Can someone explain exactly what disabling ss services does? And thank you varaques for sharing I'm sure this will help some who have no idea how to use MFWB.

What do you mean by "you people"? If you aren't one of "us people" then why are you here? We don't need people that whine and cry and contribute nothing. If you don't like that there is no 3.66 CFW why don't you make one? If you can't just sit back and be quiet until one is released. I personally have no problem with people wanting it but I'm glad there isn't one. Right now I don't have to worry about people flying around the games I play online shooting rockets out their cornholes.

Good lookin for posting this firmware.
One thing that gets me upset about ps3hax is that they never post any info or instructions on how to flash this.
Here are some questions that I think everyone here wants to know the answer to:
1 What ps3 models this firmware supports?
2 Can this be flashed over Kmeaw's firmware?If so does it keep all the data(Videos,music,Multiman backups and gamesaves)?
3 Does OtherOS works on Slim PS3 models?
4 Correct way of flashing this,Flash regularly or from recovery mode?

A noobie question.
I have KMAEW 3.55 installed on my PS3, and as we all know 3.60+ games are playable by luck so far..
If i install this FW will it help with that problem anyway or should i stay on KMAEW if im not interested in installing any OtherOS?
Btw what can you really do with another OS that you cant do without it?

This what I did
1Went into PS3 Recovery and flashed original 3.55 firmware on top of Kmeaw's,this took me back to stock firmware.NOTE all my emulators,Multiman and backups were still intact.
2 Went back to PS3 Recovery and flashed Varaques firmware.
So far I love it,it even has Sega logo instead of Sony!
Im gonna test it some more and get back,but so far my system seems smoother than it was on Kmeaw.
Thanx Varaques this the best cfw I tried so far,im still waiting for instructions on how to get OtherOS to install(i cant find an option for it).
Can you point me to the right link because I dont know which one is for PS3 slim on github and what button combination do I need to press to get into Q&A?(whatever q&a is for I dont know).

It is nice to see members, interest/motivation /Going for the move of creating a CFW = Varaques ,a example of a member sharing there work .You are well appreciated in my book .There are so many releases of new CFWs l8ly. I believe people are coming back from = Either staying low key for a while/working/learning/creating/helping, the scene advance = progress is looking good
Now i am being patient, waiting for the right CFW for my brand new OFW 350 ps3 160BG slim . I am like a cobra ,i wait for the right CFW that is released , is for me, mabey ? if so = then i strike ,lol 
I just wish i had went with KMEAWs CFW with my 1st CFW ps3 on geohot ,which i limited + did not know/care about backup support at the time . It would have been nice ,since i would have 100% completed my interest in my 1st CFW ps3. I am just worried about losing my dlc ,it is very important to me. This is the bigest reason i am keeping my 1st ps3 on geohots CFW. I dont want to chance deactivation of DLC + losing my DLC ,or get stuck reactivating DlC on every boot with xregplus. Unless i am forced to, by a fail of the ps3s file system or to courruption of the file system .Big Reason i had to buy a 3rd ps3, to run a new CFW ,so with that said ,thanks again for your CFW ,only time & patience is in my book, for the fate of my new OFW 350 ps3. Thanks you for releasing to us ,this is how a community should be = share with no limits . This is another example of the ps3 scene evolving to higher expetations ! 
By the way i think BobbyBlunt had created his own CFW also + i believe he offered his CFW , but was a little quiet about it. As i dont think he created a official thread on his CFW, i think. He did mention it though i did see his post. So to quote his post he did say "Does anyone want to try my CFW " In another thread ,so i believe 2die4 ,he did offer his CFW ,you may have not seen his post.. 
Cause he had just said he made his own with MFW Bulder i believe is what he said ? I am pretty shure of this

Install OtherOS on HDD (for all PS3 models)

1. Install my latest CFW
2. When installation is finished, go to recovery menu and choose "Restore PS3 System"
3. Now your GameOS should use only the half of your HDD
(Currently working on a better approach)
4. Run setup_flash_for_otheros.pkg (for all PS3 models)
5. Reboot (It's important to shut down and turn on your PS3)
6. Store dtbImage.ps3.bin on USB drive, plug it in and run install_otheros.pkg
(NAND owners should use dtbImage.ps3.bin.minimal, rename it to dtbImage.ps3.bin).
Try different USB ports if you don't get any beeps.
7. Run boot_otheros.pkg
8. Run reboot.pkg
9. You should be in petitboot now.
Exit from CUI to shell or switch to another virtual console.
10. Run script create_hdd_region.sh
11. Reboot and boot petitboot again
12. You should see now new HDD device on petitboot, /dev/ps3dd.
That's your OtherOS HDD region.
Don't touch any other HDD regions if you don't know what you are doing. Use only ps3dd
device for your Linux installation. Use parted to partition it and create GPT partition
table on ps3dd. GPT is supported by both, Linux and FreeBSD.
Be warned, if you damage your GameOS HDD region, GameOS will reformat HDD and
remove your Linux HDD region in the process. You have to do the above steps again.
Don't mess with GameOS HDD region and GameOS won't mess with your OtherOS HDD region.
For users who installed OtherOS on VFLASH region 7 previously

You have to restore your VFLASH before doing the above steps.
Be warned, this step is NOT for NAND owners.
1. Install my latest petitboot
2. Boot petitboot
3. Run script restore_vflash.sh
4. Reboot. GameOS should reformat your HDD again.

i had the psn ps1 games signed with qa with rebug before trying yours to check out if you really can run them unsigned too... and now they don't work. I just installed first 355ofw and then the cfw via recovery mode both. It was the only way to avoid another error (maybe because of the spoof...)

btw as i wrote this msg talking about the boot logo,.. i realized that the boot logo option is about the only thing that could produce an unsafe cfw. But if it works on one, it will work on all the other ps3s too.

I went ahead & changed from Kmeaw's CFW. (Is that how you spell it? :P)
Using the recovery mode, went to OFW 3.55, then again with recovery mode, went to this CFW.
Some people complained about PS1 & PS2 games not working. I don't know if it matters which version of the PS3 you have, seeing how some have hardware support for PS2 games, others have software/emulation support, & all new ones have no support at all for PS2 games. (Do CFWs have the ability to provide Software/Emulation support for PS2 games??)
Personally, I have the First PS3 60Gb with Hardware support, & my PS2 games work fine. PS1 games work as well.
PS3 games copied using Multiman & work fine (With the exception of games that don't load from the internal drive, since I didn't set up an external just yet).
Can't see OtherOS in the System Menu (Like back in 3.15), but I'm not sure if I'm supposed to?
I have no clue how to install OtherOS, but I'd be willing to test it if someone's willing to tell me how to. Same thing with the QA Flags mentions. I have no idea what those are or how to activate them.
