Seemed our chinese E3 friends took the news of many bricks (even unrecoverable with their brickguide by soldering a Tristate to SBE wire) with E3 seriously and released a dump checker tool:
E3 Nor dump checker V1.0 released. It help you check if the backup bios is corret or wrong. We suggest user check the backup bios first before downgrade, it will lower the risk of brick !

That seemed a bit too optimistic, even when it doesn’t claim 100% validity, so I decided to test that program to a bricktest!
Inserted where several known faults in specific regions, that would be invalid for any flash (e.g. resulting in a RLOD or YLOD brick – even unrecoverable because also perconsolespecific data was overwritten!).
The results where posted on the wiki by me :
Quick bulletproof test
does not test:
- bootldr (corrupted binary not detected)
- metldr (corrupted binary not detected)
- bootldr size (both under- and oversize not detected)
- metldr size (both under- and oversize not detected)
- cISD (didn’t catch brick-byte error)
- cCSD (didn’t catch brick-byte error)

does test:

Conclusion: USELESS, brickdumps will still show as ‘valid’.
Recommendation: use Flowrebuilder instead and common sense like mentioned on Hardware flashing page.

If you like to give this checker a try, be adviced, it crashed about 50 times when I was testing (about every 2 checks) – not sure if it was my PC only.

The majore fault in e3 is the clip soldreless example take 50 led buib , wire , battery then connect led with wire and connect with battery but note no use of soldring
when you do all this led starts glow then put all this stuff in vibrant surface definatly after few hour or days they stop glowing because wire lose cönnecing with led or current
Same this you use clip in ps3 board where have dust little heat also vibration
main think is when you downgrade with e3 you cant remove e3 is like a cancer in a part of body
I THINK E3 BECOME POPULAR whan a new modal relise which able to remove after downgrading

I agree, e3 flasher seems to have caused more problems than it fixes, along with false advertising. We really do need a cfw 3.73, but who will do it?
It's great when devs release thing we can all use, but when some of them know how to do things but refuse to tell, well it gets nowhere fast.
This is why I hate the playstation scene, it's really bad, and the few devs who do want to help cannot spend all day to help us all out, they have their own things to do. Just makes me wish I knew how to do this stuff so I can help out, but I dont
I mean we dont hear about all this nonsense on the xbox scene so we?

some question: does somebody know if hardware downgrade resets qa flag?
or maybe service mode?
i've lost mine after upgrading to 3.72 from rebug, then e3 downgrade to patched rebug. the qa udate has vanished.

I'm the first here who sayd that e3 flasher is crap, but at least i read instruction manual before...
I repeat again, you can remove the flasher the second after u flashed succesfully the downgrade.bin
All what you need is a cfw whit a patched lvl 1 to avoid syscon problems ( as syscon keep on reading vers 3.56 or above and this will cause a brick )
Rogero mfw v2 work too.

Conclusion: Anyone with a flasher (should) know that you can dump it 1 to 1000's times the same bad. Comparing CRC/MD5/SHA1 is not any secure way to validate flash (as mentioned on Hardware flashing)
The thing is, even if they did it 55 million times with a bad clip or whatever reason is went wrong, it will be 55 million times a bad dump.
Letting the dumper do it 3 times, only gives endusers/customers a false sense of reassurance, always a bad idea.
