As most of you know already, there is a dongle out there in the wild, a dongle manufactured/created by so called scene developers, who in reality should be giving this device or method of exploit for free, like so, so may great developers in the PS3 scene have done, the dongle i am talking about, that sucks the very last drop of blood from the PS3 Scene, is “True Blue”.
Anyhow, enough honesty about the device, onto the real reason for creating this news post, is that the awesome guys behind Rebug, have released a True Blue friendly version of their Rebug CFW for those naive enough to buy the dongle, here is a quote from Rebugs website:

After thinking it over the team came to the conclusion that in the not to distant future, there will be a whole lot of unhappy REBUG users who want to enjoy their new True Blue Dongle only to realise that their hard earned save games which ran using the Fake Save Data Owner option will no longer work.
As a courtesy for our loyal users we have put together REBUG 3.55.2 TB EDITION.

We released this for our users that have or are going to buy the dongle so they can still use their game saves and other REBUG functions.

I bet that if I were to buy this dongle, it would be obsolete by the time I actually got it.
I might be an idiot, but I can't understand why it wouldn't be possible to reverse engineer the TB jailbreak and make it so that you can flash it onto a Teensy board for example. Sorry if it's been explained why it can't be done 1000 times already...

Question for the Rebug Team, seeing as you need the Dongle to be inserted on this CFW for backups to run, does this mean you know how/what makes the CFW require the dongle itself?
One would assume to implement it you'd have to know what to mod etc

This was really nice of them. It is true, a lot of people have purchased this TB and it's nice to see that REBUG took that into consideration when they released this CFW. I do however hope that they will release a "non-TB" version for all of us whom haven't (yet/won't) purchase the TB because we're broke

Now if there was a page saying Rebug has built in payload of TB id do a happy dance. Team Rebug is awesome for giving people a option using the best FW out there now, but I hope and ... hope some more that they are not in league with TB that would make me sad.

Q: Is this posible on other dongles from the FW3.41 days like Blackcat and Teensy?
A: Dongles are bad and obsolete, mkay :P (once you have the key/algo, you don't need any dongle at all)
Q: Are they (TB team) just stealing the dev eboots?
A: You can only rumor which source they use to resign the content to lock-in their DRM. But ofcourse those very same DRM-less files can be resigned for 3.55 too (as has been done numerous times in the past). Piracy is bad, but pirates using DRM to make sure they get the money and not genuine developpers is even worse (especially when they lock you into a single firmware that has even less to offer than generic MFW and makes you loose OtherOS++ too).

What if this has something to do with QA Flags?. There are lots of flags that people don't know what they do (maybe devs know, but not everybody).
Researching at ps3devwiki, I found that there is a Flag named "Remove Game License". Could this be the almigthy Flag that enable us to play cracked games?.
Just thinking about all the stuff available and trying to make a connection between them.

^^ cobra uses the same lv2 patches that TB uses... so this firmware might apply to cobra as well, why don't you give it a try... the problem is the cobra loader app or whatever won't run.

Incredible the things some people say. In any case, I think we should all be thankful to the Rebug guys. Maybe people that bought TB are idiots, but even so Rebug is there for them; I think that's commendable. Why would they punish users over the whatever drama is going on with TB?

I don't like this. Implementing support for TB can't be a good thing, that just means TB obviously won't die so soon because lack of other options was one of the reasons for a random PS3 user NOT TO BUY TB. This is like Rebug saying "we're cool with it so here you go".
And for those who keep saying "be thankful, respect and support the devs" and stuff like that - yeah right. I only got respect for Dean and a few others and when I decide to "support the devs" I'll simply go and buy True Blue because we all know that it's not made by illiterate indonesian kids.

i've got a question for the ReBug guys....
can this be installed directly after downgrading with the e3 flasher? (after downgrading properly of course) I know the E3 flasher TB2CFW can... how about the rebug version?
