• PSP Dev Wololo is working away on the PS Vita, here is a list of Homebrew Applications he has managed to get running on the PS Vita, using HBL on the the PSP Emulator:

    • snes9xTYL
    • Bookr
    • CSPSP
    • T.O.M.E.
    • EmuMaster
    • Zombie Crisis
    • Wagic
    • cavestory
    • Picodrive
    • Spider solitaire
    • ScummVM
    • Daedalus
    • FCEU-PSP

Here is a quote from the source:

I got major homebrews to work, and now I’ll focus on reporting this to the EU and US version, which both need to be brought up to speed with these latest changes.

From what I could see, syscall estimation basically doesn’t work (which is what JJS discovered a while ago when porting HBL to 6.60), which will limit the amount of homebrews that can be played with this exploit, but as you can see on the video, I got a few good ones to run already

Yes, its only the built in PSP emulator that has been exploited.

      PSP Emu side.

The PSVita isn't hacked, per se.

What I want to know without searching wololo.net is if this exploit offers any more RAM to the homebrew apps?

No, it only works inside the PSP emulator, Wololo mentioned that one of the games, actually works faster on the PSP.

I dont think sony needs to put in much effort to fix it as it doesnt really open a gate to ps vita native piracy and this will only keep the hackers at bay just like other os did on the ps3 before it got removed

it will be great when psp/emulators are fully operational with its inputs i would be keen for a fully working n64 emu, i would be put off the device if it got hacked before any good vita games come out, sony would remove a vita function and allocate half of the resources motioning itself.

but when you think about it, sony will just update and force your device to update to play the latest games so the requirements would be updates, not just a memory card. so unlocking is a must to utilize all the senors and the hardware capabilities otherwise you would have a half brick and shrapnel memory cards in your pocket.
