I have a follower on twitter he is a bit of a pest, he insults me and calls me names, he is very rude to me and says he is my daddy, but he dropped me this little tip via a Tweet:
So i tried it and couldn’t get it working, i told him this much, whilst asking him to stop trolling me, then he told me to check PS3 Dev Wiki and i found this:
- Go to Settings > System > System Information
- Press simultaneously R1 + L1 + DPad Left + Square for a few seconds
- Release those buttons then immediately press the start button (and keep it hold)
So i made a little video:
You can read more info here at
PS3 Dev Wiki( The above photo belongs to PS3 Dev Wiki and has nothing to do with my video)
Apparently he cryptically told me a few hours before it was on PS3 Dev Wiki, but im apparently too dumb and someone managed to decrypt before me, so all props go to him, he doesn’t want to be sourced, if you want to see who it is, follow the person i have been fighting with for over a week on Twitter O_O
Anyhow i hope this makes him happy that no more “fake” news is posted on Ps3HaX >.<
Finally, this was tested on my 4.0 OFW machine....
EDIT
I forgot to thank PS3HaX member deroad for this information and for adding it to PS3 Dev Wiki, id also like to thank you for your contributions to both PS3 Dev Wiki and Vita Dev Wiki.
@Ragioustroll is my Twitter pest

Lower strings are taken from Index.dat, it's explained on the wiki, everyone knew about these already
(I HOPE.)
Actually only 1st(Target ID, but what does first part mean?) and 3rd(SYSCON related, exactly what it means, no clue) line is something to think about, there is info about everything else already.

Anyone care to do this on a OFW 4.00 machine and check if the line "branches/soft190/soft" is different from 3.55? It's the 4th line from the bottom.
Thanks.

It's a diagnostics of the SDK/Wifi driver/Bluetooth/PS2 emulator version. If I remember correctly you get a simmilar result on Android devices for debugging some hardware like the wifi, bluetooth, and drivers for the device. It is actually useful, you can see what has been updated but you must make sure you do the comparison between the same SKU because different SKUs have also different drivers.

Anyway looks like the PS2 software emulator wasn't updated after all... They probably have some kind of profile inside their PSN PS2 games.

We all know how $ony like to spin an update as being mandatory but when it comes to courts they claim it is optional. Well it makes sense if you take it this way:
Optional Update: $ony consider these optional as they do not care if customers update or not, they prefer they do update so customers can buy things from psn store. $ony do not lose any money.
Mandatory Update: $ony really do care about this update, it in mandatory for them that as many customers install this as the previous firmware can allow homebrew or piracy to be run or may break data protection laws; so if customers do not update $ony lose money.
Now to find an honest, incorruptible judge with common-sense.

"if you guys want it to stay static without holding down start."
1)Just hold start....press up, down, left, right, on D-pad..like going up/down on list.
2)then press and hold PS button as if to turn off system/controller.
3)Let go of start.
4)press PS button again to exit.
and that's it....you have it static on the screen :P

What i found interesting was when i found the names PSP,PS2,and PS1. Does this mean that there is a possible way to put PS2 games on the PS3? Because i mean, if you cant play PS2 games on a PS3, why add a file with the name PS2 at the end? But you never know.

nice....
maybe this is the info PSN and 3.6+ games actually look at. So if the devs can figure a way to change this then we would really be able to bypass the security by a more deeper level spoof? Im not a hacker or dev and dont know anything about coding, its just an idea
