got this info in a PM
the *.a files from the sdk is actuelly elf files packed.
you can rename all *.a files from the sdk to elf, and then run readelf on them.
you would see where all the elf files write.
have been looking at the libsecure and found out where all the crypto is reading/writing.
these are the elf that sony uses to encrypt/decrypt all there elf/bin/sprx
if you look at the libsecure there are 2 kind of *.a file normal and _d in the ending
i thing one encrypt one decrypt.
So i tryed it and it worked

Before noobs start installing this just because it's there note that this currently is just a modified fw, nodex even states that it does not support hombrew or playing of backups, yet.
As greg said dont install, unless you have an e3flasher or another device to unbrick and downgrade your ps3 if things go wrong.
Let's just hope this will lead to something new for all of us and kick both Sony and the dongle makers in the nuts so hard that their grandchildren will still feel it!

ok, so i installed it on 3.55 successfully, the xmb is really jumpy there is a blank space where install package files should be but app home is there. homebrew does not run. good effort though. lmfao
if you guys want a working 4.11 mfw with install package file options which installs retail signed packages i will make one but getting homebrew to run is a whole different ball park. that why i didnt bother!

homebrew will never run on 3.60+ firmwares until LV0 is decrypted. and even if it does finally get cracked there will be a working firmware with install package file options so dont waste your time install this ****e..

I have three ps3's one is fat on 4.10 I will test and try to install from service mode then I will post if real. Most of the time when you try to install say 3.55 over 3.55 it will say latest version or error unless you install from service mode.

So we have some kind of "new-born" FW here. Will not install it till it will be perfectly working, haveing proper instruction. Even so it will have to have some real meaning to be installed.
What we have now - really raw material which is useable only for experienced ppl able to downgrade the console in case / and for devs.
All post 'bout how fake it is - comeing from users expecting from like "alpha version" products to work perfectly fine. It's just too early too judge

I'll go try it on my ceche01 ps3 that's currently on 3.71 or something around that. Although, there is no blurray drive in it so that might effect something.

who ever made that video updated the PS3 from 3.55 to 4.11. Don't think a lot of people would risk updating fw 3.55. Find it odd why couldn't it be tested from any other FW aside from 3.55 and take this risk of losing CFW 3.55? Unless the person have a bunch of PS3 under FW 3.55.

What I can gather from all this is:
-Only seems to install on NAND consoles (CECHA, B, C, E, G)
-Add to that, depends on what FW you're on currently (someone with CECHE could not install from 3.70)
-Doesn't do anything useful (yet)

I have checked this supposed MFW with custom firmware validator and I can confirm that the installation of this MFW is very risky and can damage you PS3 system. DO NOT INSTALL IT!!!!!!!

As with all I am very optimistic, but still on the edge of expecting this to either be a hoax or just not work. Still hoping it works and we find the keys and get a new cfw, but also hoping if it is a joke then it get revealed quickly so we can all move on, yet again.
For those saying it doesnt work on slims, neither did waninkoko's and that resulted in hundreds if not thousands of noobs bricking their consoles. But his v2 was fixed to work with NOR consoles. It has only been a day, dont expect everything today, we just have to wait and see what happens; even devs need sleep.

I called fake from day one, mostly due to nodex's poor attempt at sounding technicial. I would have pointed this out sooner but these days that seems to be either anti-productive or flaming. This joke has gone way too far, I spend the last 5 mins doing simple google searches on all of the "proof" he has so far posted.
Basically it appears he has just taken random technical looking documents, cut and pasted where necessary to make it look like he knows what he is doing.
