• For a few days, the PS3 Dev Wiki was down due to hosting problems and a lot of information seemed to be lost, but thanks to the hard work of the Wiki’s admin defyboy and a backup from a member called TMAnd, only a couple of days work was lost, you can read about it on this thread.

So thank you defyboy and TMAnd for rescuing all those precious edits :)

I would like to point out, that the PS3 Dev Wiki is a community effort, without the work and dedication of a lot of developers and PS3 enthusiasts, the wiki would be quite empty, so if you are doing work on the PS3, keep it documented on the Wiki :)

You can visit the Wiki here:
    PS3 Dev Wiki

I would like to give thanks to euss, deroad, defyboy, Lady Anne Blunt, sandungas and the many other editors who keep the Wiki alive.

      Thanks you for the news,
there are also the vita dev wiki , people can report simple things like game compatibility with remote play.
Most of my contributions were generic things, like today about error code or ps1 save data format. There are also the eboot.pbp page can have more details if someone dig on psp forums.
The "best" contribution i did was about one attribut on param.sfo (forced xmb) and x category. It was possible to find them and test them because of Sandungas work on this page. And it was something Sandungas ll find but just a questions of fews more tests or time.
There fews pages easily to understand thanks to reals contributors and really nice to know.
In general i try to read again and again and see if i can help to save time for others.
it was a good thing wiki went down so peoples can appreciate the real work of contributors (not me) and see it s not easy and time consuming.
It s not a place for everyone, i can barely add fews infos on fews limited page, not a place for fame or ego but fews things can be done by average user as me.
But fews peoples read the wiki, release theirs apps and don t credit the wiki s contributors. It s ok, it s gnu licence, and understand and read the wiki is already hard but filling it, also not easy. I don t speak for me, since the "best" infos i added can t really fit on apps or are just basics.
There fews examples recently around param.sfo infos, and at the end, apps released were not really working (because the dev behind just wanted full credits instead of asking more details with the relation with other param) and juts give corrupted save for end user.
or a complete release about structure disc without any mention of the main contributor. So guess the others missing structures will be something you ll have to find by yourself now.
(apps were release 24h or so after the infos were added on the wiki )

The page about Param.hip i started was a good example of chasing something easy, and end up by a really nice real work between Sandungas and Deroad, giving to the community a new apps. (it s a request for the PocketStation page, since i can barely code )

      ----
I feel really glad to be among others contributors s names on this article, for sure i m clearly not at the same level but it s really nice (Alex, Andreus and others a bit before the latest back up are also real deal)
