   P3GO was and is the ONLY dongle capable of: 1) Letting you install a dev’s firmware 2) Allowing you to make your own MFW 3) And even had a SDK to do payloads.

   Can we install a DEX firmware with this?

   It's really usefull to toggle between downgrade firmware and payload function .
   This why i buy it the day it was launch : the first dongle with : 1gb nand + a little cpu + microSD
   When you see what you can do with a raspbery ,i dream about something like this on P3GO ^^

   Long story...
   I have a "P3GO GT-break" months ago, i knew part of the official releases, part of the story of this two manufacturers, and a bit of the hardware (i was looking the CPU pinout months ago)
   The other day before the release of oct0xor and flat_z they was talking in twitter about ps3usercheat dongle, and somebody edited this page of the wiki (i saw this edit and i thought in uploading mi notes about the hardware to the wiki)
   This day eussNL and me was having a talk in irc about the hardware and we was looking for some official releases from P3GO manufacturers (software, firmware, whatever)... the next day oct0xor and flat_z released the hacked version of codeunique.pkg
   
   The next days i was looking for all the official releases from P3GO manufacturers, and ordering them cronologically
   This releases contains cloned firmwares.bin (of the ps3usercheat dongle), low level tools.exe (to overwrite the bootloader of the dongle), and "what seems to be" clones of the codeunique.pkg (it seems there are even other versions with other names)
   
   But is not only this, there are other important details of the story:
   
   Clonewars
   ----------
   The fight this two manufacturers had is a part of this wars that needs his own chapter, because are "special"
   Chronologically are after the "first generation" (jailbreak ones)... but was released before "second generation" (TB, his clones, cobra)
   Its possible that second generation dongles was developed in a P3GO and then ported to a cheaper hardware... this is why i said "chapter 0: prelude to a come up"
   
   Open source
   ------------
   Is the only dongle with an SDK (maybe limited), this cpu power, and with low level tools
   This gives the chance to develop your apps inside the dongle, also... this gives you the chance to tweak the bootloader for more freedom
   
   Edit: what about preparing the dongle to "talk" with this "virtual machine" naehrwert pointed... then swap a TB with it ?
   
   Cheat apps
   -----------
   There are 2 different versions of "code unique":
   -Auto.- Its a complete backup manager (you can boot the game with it)... the list of cheats only displays the games you have
   -Lite.- Its only the cheat app
   But code unique first releases only included one version (i ignore wich one)
   
   Also... there are other names for cheat apps, like code manager, code freak, (that i ignore if are obsolete versions of code unique)... some of them are "cloned" like the ones contained in one of the releases of P3GO
   
   codelist.txt codelist.dat

   First versions uses .txt and is loaded from internall hdd path (the installation folder)
   But last versions uses cheatlist.dat... is loaded from "root of ps3usercheat dongle NAND"
   There is a problem here with paths ^
   
   Donations
   ---------
   When i said to donate ps3usercheat dongles in the wiki... i mean...
   There is lot of people that has been buying different dongles, and at this point maybe they have 10 in his house
   For a simple user (not a developer/geek) this cheat dongle has no use now that the app has been hacked
   Donate them to developers, maybe they find a way to do something interesting with them
   If you dont know how to give your present, read the readme.txt's at the end of any development tool, e.g: members of "team acid"

    It was one of the features announced at release date, all the time from 2010-2011 they had a good software support, and later they released the promised SDK... so i bet is true. Probably something minimall, but a linux is a linux
    
    The CPU was designed for a MP4 player, it has a LCD display port, and lot of imput/outputs for buttons, dials, leds, etc...
    This thing can do a lot more... but i have no idea where are the limits

    A forensic research mostly of what happened back in 2010-2011
    Is still missing what the other part did (releases of ps3usercheat)... this list samson posted is the changelog of the "cheatlist" database file, not the program itself
    
    I hope this is usefull for somebody, if not is enought to document the "good story bro" in the wiki, this ones was special dongles

    I have a PS3Go dongle that can help you in this research also.
    In the past i was one of the official resellers of this dongle "PS3Go" but sorry its web site does not work any more.
    This dongle comes from the same PS3Break - PB2 dongles also, i was dealing with them since PS3 first gen dongles war starts.

    Keep an eye out for hellsings dongle. It's a p3go with cfw which upon loading tells you that dongles are for Asian transvestites that sell home made porn with midget gorillas using their pseye camera. It then processes to cause massive controller vibration and tells you wherr to place the controller to unleash the real payload using anti-drm technology which must be verified by 12mb LOL encryption not yet know to exist out side of this post and then publishes the contents of your refrigerator to front page news.

    When i say "cheat app"... change the name by "code unique", "code manager", "code freak", or whatever other names had this program and his clones
    
    The problem they had was with the cheatlist database... seems easy to "port" to other programs, probably was the cause of why the last chealist versions was encrypted

    I was lurking in the official ps3usercheat forums (are online again), and i found some interesting threads about the "recover tool" for unbricking, the problems they had, and the methods they used
    But i have not tested different methods, so i prefer not to add it to the wiki
    
    Also i was lurking ingenic semiconductor support page (the manufacturers of the CPU)... and has been a bit shocking to see the amount of support they have
    They have another version of the recover tool (is the only broken link of all the page... but is mirrored in other sites)
    The reason why they dont want you/me to have this recover tool.... is because this CPU is used in a lot of devices, from GPS's, MP4 players, ebook readers, miniconsoles, and lot more "low cost" products, and this manufacturers dont want to see their devices hacked
    
    Interesting fact... if you go to the P3GO dongle manufacturers page (gamebox.hk)... they sell a mini-console that can run emulators, display them in a TV @ 1280x1024 pixels, etc...
    Well... this mini-console has the same CPU than P3GO dongle (and ps3usercheat)
    I know it because has been hacked recently and a linux image released containing a selection of emulators running under linux
    Awesome, isnt it ?... its obviously overpowered to be used in a dongle, there is no easy explain why they used it
    
    This is the reason why ingenic semiconductors gives A LOT of support (for this manufacturers, and probably retired the recover tool because this same manufactured asked them to retire it)... they have bootloader tools with source, linux bootloader, linux kernels, and even images to boot, etc...
    But there is also the same support for android
    
    In resume... this dongles can be a "weapon" to fight other dongles

    The green board i have has a "v1.2" printed in white (im not sure if there are other versions of the green board)
    Later they began to use red boards... that are supposed to be "v2"
    And ps3usercheat i think 90% are red boards (if not all)
    
    The bigger difference between board versions is the NAND layout... its clear that there are at least 2 different versions of the recover tool with a different OOBSIZE in his config (OOBSIZE roughtly explained... is an area of each page of the NAND reserved for metadata)
    
    btw... the recover tool from ingenics is a newer version, and accept commands, there is one command to retrieve info from the board (this includes NAND layout)
    But the config of this tool is "generic"... it needs to be adjusted for your hardware/board... so better dont "write" with it if you are not confident with the config file

    Thanks, in fact it contains an app that is loaded the same way than P3GO and ps3usercheat (from a "preinstalled" folder in dongle root)
    The name of the folder "CFD"... makes me think in a clone of "CodeFreakDirectory" ?

    This problem in "red boards" probably is related with the OOBSIZE config in recover tool, same problem P3GO and ps3usercheat had with the different NAND models they used in different board (green vs red)

    Accept commands? How do I enter a command? The only connector on this dongle is the memory card slot and the USB plug itself, can I use the PS3’s ethernet connector to ssh into it?

    Are commands intended for the "recover tool" (and are only availables in the tool from ingenics, not the recover tools from dongle makers)... you need to bridge 2 pads in the board and plug it in a pc, then run the "recover tool"
    There is a manual that explains the use of the tool ---> USB_Boot_Tool_Manual_1.4_EN.pdf
    *In page 13
    Are commands related with the configuration/design/components of the board, a couple of interesting ones are:
    -help
    -nquery (read the NAND vendor/product/chip/page/plane ID's)
    -exit
    But as i said... dont try to use "write" commands before configuring (the USBBoot.cfg file)

    Is the way the designers of the dongle implemented this CPU in the board... they didnt need the LCD port, so is there but connected to nothing
    The pinout is in the datasheet of the CPU ---> JZ4755_ds.pdf
    
    There is another datasheet of an example of a implementation of this CPU in a hypotethical board---> JZ4755_Board_Design Guide_EN.pdf
    Is just a suggerence of design of the whole board, made by the manufacturers of the CPU
    It contains all the component possibles... our dongle boards are a reduced version of this design

    The most interesting port to add to our dongles is the UART, that can be used to communicate with the CPU in real time
    I have been taking another look at the board of my P3GO and there are two "test points" (painted in white as: PT4 & PT5)

    I think there is no photo of a red one (the only photo with a red board is the one P3GO manufacturers uploaded explaining how to bridge the pads for "recover mode")... is the same photo later ps3usecheat used for the same purpose

    My main goal was to document the hardware and official software releases of P3GO (because i knew the hardware is the same than ps3usercheat, i have one P3GO and also some friends that helped me to recover the missing releases that was erased from the official page)
    I completed hardware/software info around 90% in wiki (is missing info about the SDK, but i never used it, so im not the best one to talk about it)
    
    But about PS3usercheat software (dongle firmwares, and ps3.pkg's) i have no idea because i was never interested in it, and there is no much info in his official web/forums... i was hoping that somebody could complete the releases lists... but in few words... people has zero interest in helping noone if there is no reward
    They ignore that documenting all this maybe can help other people that is trying to crack it (not me because i have zero idea about crytography)
    
    My only (personal) interest with ps3usercheat was the "screenshot" feature of "code unique" because this can be used in other hombrews, or implemented in a custom firmware
