    PS3 Hacks, PS3 Media Server (PMS) , 12.06.2012

    Old developers leave and new developers arrive, to bring us a new version of the popular media streaming application, PMS, here is a quote from the ChangeLog:

    Changelog:

    • Fix global custom MEncoder options
    • Re-fix NPE when toggling HTTP Engine V2
    • Fix startup for symlinked PMS.sh (#1356) (thanks, Matthijs!)
    • Added documentation to PMS.conf (thanks, Hagar!)
    • Updated JNA to support multiarch directories on Linux (#1152)
    • Added option to select and force the default renderer
    • Fixed Samsung 2012 TVs timeout (thanks, troop!)
    • Added support for D-link DSM-510 (thanks, glenrocks!)
    • Updated MPlayer build script to SB32
    • Fix “value too long” SQL exceptions
    • If renderer has not specified a maximum height/width, default to 1920×1080
    • Initial fix for Samsung 2012 TVs (thanks, troop!)
    • Linux: load system-wide defaults from /etc/skel if user’s profile not found
    • Added recognition for AcePlayer app (thanks, md.versi!)
    • Fix parsing of <real> in plist preventing iPhoto libraries from working
    • Added Plugin development guide (thanks, glebb)
    • Language updates:
      • added Arabic
      • added Hebrew (thanks, zvi-yamin!)
      • CZE translation update (thanks, valib)
      • Layout support for right-to-left languages added

    Upgrade Notes:

    For 1.23.0 and above:

    • Just uninstall the older version and install newer one

    For versions prior to 1.23.0:

    • To retain your old settings you may have to copy your old config file/s to a new directory.
      To find out where the new directory is on your computer, see here.
    • If you use the “media library / cache” option you should reset it.

      Awesome update, great app! How do I set this up to go through my firewall on vista? I can only use this app if I disable it completely. :-/ Any help much appreciated.

      Plz "Dev" all Ps3 User want New Games eboot Patches For "3.55 Kmeaw" but I Like ur work

      NOt all do, some of us just want cfw 4.11 so we can use the new features $ony have added on our cfw consoles. And then others who upgraded past 3.55 or have unhackable ps3s also want cfw 4.11.

      Even though E3 claim to have cfw 4.11 in the works, they said it would take a long time, but also, most likely it will still require to be installed on a 3.55 console.

      Come on guys... This a post for the PS3 Media Server update... Not for Eboots and CFW's... Lets just appreciate what we have here right now.. Thank You..

      There is an option for excluding programs from the firewall in Vista. It can be either accessed through the program options itself (if there is one in this version) or through the firewall options. Here this link should help you do it. And I hope it works.
