Thank you so much for finally helping to get rid of the first "DRM"ed dongle that was supposed to return "Original Functionality" that was stolen from us by Sony in the first place.
Now deank is going to make it to where this new hack won't work with Multiman anymore. Rogero anyone? (loved multiman from the get-go, but lets see if his mentality has changed any. Hope Deank proves me wrong.)

I do not know who incepted this thread with nonbased remarks about Atmel AVR/Micochips PIC, but they should look closer to the content and what is needed for such target. There is nothing AVR/PIC related inside the filesets, just plain unself/ungpkg'ed files which where ran through IDA and exported i64/db files. It also does not make any sense to even /want/ it as a dongle, because if you have the PPU/SPU changes, it would make alot more sense to distribute it as patches (MFW Builder TCL) or live patcher: payload (payloader3) then a stupid dongle.

First, I've had some concerning health issues and haven't touched this for several months. Also, priorities were re-alligned in the process and haven't had a chance to pick it back up. So I have nothing to report... on to the main reason for posting.
Mostly, it looks like files we already have, unselfed eboot.bins (congratulations on using unself or scetool), a corrupt ida database, some meaningless/worthless logs and who knows what else.
I did look at the corrupt idb to make sure it actually "looked like"an idb. It actually did at a glaqnce--- so atleast it's not like the last time and he was trying to pass off a linux binary as lv0 decrypted or some crap like that.... oh wait... he did do that, didn't he [MENTION=148739]defyboy[/MENTION].
Probably a better use of my time if I stopped dissecting the gift any ways.

This outright 'omg im gonna think twice before releasing something *cry cry*' because of donations is just lol. Go ahead, don't release ****. Stop begging for money you idiot. I did my share for the scene, did many tutorials that helped thousands of people, tried to help the scene the best I can (look on PS3I S O) did back then a lot of news reporting on crunch, here and psx-scene. Now, did I ask for money? F u c k you. I can't even bring myself trying to make money on something I like even though, I could have - like idiots around this scene. I do it for the scene with the limited knowledge I have, and I give my time for this scene because even though it sucks - I like it.

am I alone in my love of "scenes" firstly going to general apathy and contempt for them and the horrible attitudes and actions of alleged developers. the language and overwhelming put downs and discouragement is now pushing me to a point of disgust so intense I find myself actually ignoring or even actively avoiding anything to do with scene news. maybe its because of this new found hunger for popularity from mainstream users by the top echelon of the hackers and crackers in this scene or maybe the pathetic attempt by most to be "developers" so they can bask in the pathetic pandering of their fans without fear of legal exposure but either way its straight up pathetic and sad.
there used to be hackers that battled the oppression in the shadows, encouraging those that tried and holding the secrets closed from the general public, sharing them with the respected teams of like minded hackers and given only by way of a working hack or whatever to the masses. all done with secrecy to protect the individuals and enable them true freedom without the do gooders tisk tisking at them for allowing piracy as a byproduct of their work. this sad excuse for a group of people trying to open this system up, who have failed IMO, are so superior in their own self opinion and vocal in their bitter and nasty attacks on anyone else that its no wonder there has been nothing of note released for so long...
ffs this used to be a fun hobby and a truly enriching experience... used to be... now its like having 2 evil step sisters; Sony being one and these wiki wankers the other... could have been a cool news item but thanks to the usual dismissive and supreme arrogance displayed by those who claim they can but haven't or worse have and now thumb their noses at everyone else, now its just another nail in the coffin.

Guess what? Piracy already exists, in fact, the worst form of it exists (pay-for-piracy). You are not protecting sony/the game industry from anything, the only people you are protecting is TB. If you don't care about the scene, why do you suddenly care when someone posts dongle-cracking infos? Which brings us back to point 1: why are you protecting TB?
Once again, either shut up completely and let us flounder, or drop the bombshell, kill off the dongles, and gain our infinite respect. Just don't pop up every time someone "releases" something and call it fake. That is what's known as "trolling". And if you don't know how to kill the dongles, well, how do you know if it's fake/useless or not? Do you see the predicament you're in? Your little coven/mutual admiration society means *nothing* to the average end-user unless you release working solutions, not trolololing "fake!" posts. I'm not telling anyone to release anything, I'm telling you that *unless you do so*, you are nothing to us. the only way we can make this scene better is if we stop getting into this real/fake conversation and work together to achieve realness and expose fake. I know that we want this scene to succeed but how can we do that when we keep at each other's throats? As i have said before in the past, give people who make claims that they can do something enough time to do it and if they can't provide proof that what they are doing is real, only then can you call fake.
Progress, no matter how big, small or indifferent is progress. If may not be the thing that you want but you have to understand that not all people who develop homebrew and CFW are not doing it so that the typical end user can cheat and pirate.
I do so appreciate the hard and endless work that Dev's do in the scene but the in-fighting has to stop. everything that is done should be for the good of the scene, not for profit. What Zadow has done is progress and we should not be tearing it down. we need to make it stronger. Let's all work to advance the scene. not snuff it out, IMO

Well now. Its been two days and Sir Gregory has still been unable to answer the original question I asked - who coded the first PS1 modchip. This along with Malex response to "drama" in the last scene where he could not recall any moderators name goes towards my point.
If people can't remember moderator names from the last scene or even who created the first PS1 modchip which was a really big freaking deal that - no one is going to remember names of moderators here or over there and also forget most of the devs names in 10 years.
If you want to make a name for yourself that others can remember you need to start up your dev tools and make something worthy of remembering as moderating on a forum is like the bottom fish in a tank. No offence; I try to look at things objectively.

But yeah nothing to get us the new 3.56+ features on our hacked consoles.

I never really understood the need for Showtime. The built-in PS3 media player plays every single video and music file I can throw at it, and doesn't have a buggy menu system.

As for Retroarch - like I said, nice idea. Square's work has always been aces. But it's really just a new front end for a bunch of emulators that were already released well over a year ago. Sure, Square has tweaked a few things and corrected a few bugs, but it's not like there's any new systems in there.
Pointing out the actual facts isn't "denigration". I don't have a problem with their work. I'm just tired of fakers post a rar file full of useless junk they can't figure out on mediafire, and claiming it as a "release" when it's not.

^^ You are not you pointing facts, you are searching for (and creating) problems and defects. You should be grateful that we have people who still works on free software for the ps3, even if not the software you want.

so even if TB was released as a free version i guess you would see that as no progress too? i mean after all, games can be played with the dongle already eh so a free ver isnt anything new and just another update to an existing solution

Dongles are for ******bags.
The PSP scene never had dongle hawkers, and pretty much every single game, app, emulator, program, etc. that could possibly be coded for it, was released.
