Well today thanks to @warning who posted the news that TB is no longer in production (Lightake) another *product* is coming in July. And as i stated in so many other *news* from my part as well threads on HAX…This move it’s more than OBVIOUS.
Im deeply sorry for the ones who bought this product (and no im not joking) neither being ironic.
Because not even the support team, or TB team gave them a proper response or solution, just CANCELED the manufacture of the product to leave the end user in some kind of Limbo.Don’t get my wrong. Im not happy about this results, and being honest im angry about this.
Because it’s time for E3 to show up.
And it’s time to OPEN your EYES for your own sake.

I don't know, this is just another interpretation (not controversial though), but probably what Lightake means (they are not very good with English) is that TB "old" product will be not selling (with the old packaging), and a new product (displayed on the TB news section with security enhancements) will be selling on July.
That is my personal opinion, but I just would recommend everyone to just wait until July when the "real" stuff happens. Making controversial speculations based on a simple news article is not very productive, in fact the original source never mentions E3 anywhere, so we could even say, "Hey TB was given to the Aliens and now they will have control over everyone!".
Anyway, the only real solution to know the "truth" is to just wait. Whatever happens, life will continue and the world will not end because of it.
Btw, (Im neutral on this) have any of you thought what would have been of the PS3 scene if none of the dongles existed at all? No TB, No Cobra, No JB, No E3, nothing? ...now, that would be a very sad PS3 scene since we would be stuck with no progress over CFW 3.55, with no method to use legal / illegal backups of 3.6x+ games / etc... There is NOT a open source solution released by known PS3 devs, the ones that "supposedly" had the methods to obtain the keys are not doing anything these days for the PS3 scene, and is not like they have to, hell, no one have any obligation to do anything for the PS3 scene at all!.
Like always, this is just a personal opinion, could be wrong, could be right, could be messed up, not trying to offend anyone, I respect everyone point of view.
Edit: Oh! and please don't get me wrong, I wish all this was not even happening, I wish there was some "Classic" / Open Source / Free way to hack our PS3 and use it for whatever purpose we want, and that there was no need for dongles at all.

Let me put this analogy so it becomes clear what my point will be in the end of this post.
Individual #1 work at least 8 hours to earn some cash (dollar, euro, etc).
Individual #1 support the PS3 scene in any way he can.
Individual #1 waits "eternally" for a free solution to hack his PS3 in a way that let him enjoy his "legally" acquired 3.55+ games, while keeping his PS3 on 3.55 CFW.
Individual #1 get tired of being limited, because the PS3 scene is stuck (regarding CFW, NOT homebrew, etc)
Individual #1 decides to buy a TB / Cobra / JB-King / etc dongles, because he worked to earn his cash, and it will not mean he will be poor after spending less than $100, worth at least 1 day of work.
...
Individual #2 support the PS3 scene
Individual #2 refuses to buy any dongles, he hates them.
Individual #2 is stuck on 3.55 CFW, he can't play 3.55+ games even if he bought them "without" upgrading his console to the most recent OFW.
Individual #2 gets mad because Individual #1 just decided to buy some dongles, with the money he earned.

Now my point here is, if there is no open source / free solution out there, why Individual #2 gets mad at Individual #1 ?, is he destined to wait for a uncertain solution that could not even see the light of day?

It was worth it.They sure released some great eboots for otherwise unplayable games. And who's to say that the eboot's will stop coming? From what I gather of the info released it's just the dongle that's been pulled from production. Maybe a new revision will come and the old ones are still compatible. Probably the best thing to do for you guys (mods / admins) is to make a personal appointment and resolve your personal matters instead of dragging the users into all this administrative / financial mess.
The personal experience in the forums overall keeps being degraded / distorted because its focusing on non-productive things for the PS3 scene.

I really don't give a crap what people do. I also try not to get involved or post in TB war threads. What I care about is that people are happy with the decision they make. That's all that matters, right? Being happy? I see both sides of this situation. From a legal, business, moral, etc standpoint this just is flat out.. wrong.
On the other hand, nobody else is offering up any alternatives. Simply because they are self righteous, or feel that people are not deserving, or they just don't have the means to. People want their fix.
I don't own any type of dongle, and haven't ever used one. I was going to buy a dongle to jailbreak, but I held off for software solution. Then there was all these new true blue + clones and all kinds of new games wanting to be touched, and caressed by my stimulated sensory glands. But I've got at least a dozen games that I bought when I bought my ps3 that I haven't touched yet. I'm cool for a while.

Well here is my 2Cents. Regardless if you support TB or don't support TB if there is a device or piece of hardware to allow games to played, people will buy it. What I do dont understand is where are the legit developers gone to ? Have they joined the Darkside and given into profit vs freeware ? Its seems to me we have very brilliant developers here but, some other teams or mr anonymous can figure out ways to allow games to be played with these devices and eboots ?
Personally I don't buy into this crap. Its time for the true developers to show up or shut up. Its time to stop the insanity of my dongle it bigger then your dongle etc... Its time we see some real progress not just leads. Bring us a new CFW that will allow the enjoyment to play these newer games as open-source and free ! If you cant then you really cant complain about people buying these devices. Granted you don't have to support but others will gladly pay whatever cost if in the long run to get what they want and that is the ability to play newer titles on CFW.

I think a few people over the time have decided not to get TB after hearing it's negative sides, but to my knowledge nobody who owns one has stopped using it because they get insulted for it (and quite weak insults at that). If anything they have dug their heels in and supported it and recommended it more, so well done peeps, by throwing the insults you may very well have contributed to more of them being sold lol.

If this was even true (which I doubt) do you really think we'd rush out and buy another dongle after we've been treated so badly by TB (get real!!!),, there's no way on the face of this planet will all TB users go out and buy another dongle, I for sure wouldn't and I own TB & Cobra. So as far as I'm concerned TB will live on as long as there isn't a free solution.*
The only thing that can kill TB is a free solution. Best thing E3 can do is offer an easier downgrading solution at a cost but give us the free solution to play all newer games on 3.55.. This would then kill TB but increase E3 sales in downgraders, so it would be win win for E3 and the scene.
But*if they do decide to bring out another dongle to play newer games they'll probably only get support from (I'd say) 1/4 of the TB owners, and the Dildo haters definitely wouldn't purchase one (according to them) so where would they be making there money from? This would defiantly be a bad business by TB & E3 if they are infact the same company (which I doubt)

I think a few TB owners will get angry at this, cos why make a new dongle, just make a new fw for the current dongle.
Of course others will just blindly buy it and claim they are are supporting the scene with their purchase, when all the are supporting is the capitalisation of a free scene, thereby making any future scene less likely to happen or be delayed as less people will work on it.
But as long as they get their main homebrew, piracy, they wont care about the lasting consequences on their actions, they have their piracy, they only have to pay $60 a year for it, they are happy for now.

From a more neutral viewpoint I wanted to point out that the majority of modification products that have been produced for video game consoles do indeed have a short lifespan. The reasons behind this aren't always clear, but the majority do cease to exist. Some reasons in the past why this has happened is lack of sales, Team's split up or Sony/Nintendo/Governments/The Law take action and shut down production.
While I feel empathy for those who purchased the product as maybe they did not understand how the "scenes" generally work, but on a more realistic note a $60 (average cost) device has allowed many users to use it for many games (number_of_games * $60) so it did serve a purpose and even if you only pirated one game to use with the device then you got your money's worth.
Of course, the majority of users on this site cannot look at the device objectively so I fear they are too biased to understand how the scenes works and not how they want them to work (regarding this product of course).
You're always free to create your own solution!

Although I didn't buy a blue insertion thing, I agree with adamsville they released eboot that most ppl didn't want. True I play most sports games, but some of the others I just didn't want. My kids are grown so maybe, If they were still little I would have had more enjoyment out of it!!!
