Team E3 contacted us today with some shocking news, and that is that they are now promising to release:
- - All PS3 Game EBOOTS for FREE. Will NOT require dongle.
- - Keys (not specified up to which firmware yet, assuming up to latest firmware 4.x) to users can decrypt their own games.

After all, they are a business. It seems strange to them that they would release something they could make money from for free. Although I guess they do get income from other stuff (E3 Flasher).
Hmm... Maybe they're doing this to make more people buy their flasher? :D
If that's the case, I think it's alright. At least E3 Flasher is an useful, unlike True Blue, and if they are indeed going to release keys and EBOOTs, it's great. Well I guess we'll have to wait and see how this goes.

Then edit the "param.sfo" with caution.
Just change the "BLES00926" to "BLUS30538"
Then apply the update...
And you're good to go

Ok what i read is the e3team will release the keys for the games to users decrypt the eboots, so i think this donīt mean new cfw, because they stated that they are going release the keys for the games and not for a new cfw (bootldr/lv0/ something something dark side)

Also to those thinking this =CFW if they do release the keys for 3.6+ titles don't expect a CFW because the loaders are preventing us from making a true CFW but It would probably mean that we can sign homebrew to run on 4.x if we can figure out ways of installing it.

Great news. I guess those early speculators who talked trash about E3, comparing them to TB (who has yet to release 1 single free eboot) can now man up an apologize or simply keep dancing around in their own self made reality and continue to skepticism and trash talking. So E3 is going to release each PS3 eboot they create for free, release keys for others to use, but then that's not good enough and people claim they need to release an entire CFW when just weeks ago these same people united to stand against E3... I've just watched and now have a big SMILE on my face and know further who to really just ignore in this scene. Go E3! (I could of cared less if they released another Dongle or not, but the reactions from people are what is cracking me up).

Addressing the speculation that E3's new "system" will be a paid service to access the eboots. If this is the fact they would need some sort of way to "lock" the eboots you download to your console, per say, a Dongle.
However, as they are going to release the keys there would be no need to subscribe to any service unless the 4.20 keys do not work on 4.20+ consoles therefor we have the 4.20 keys and can play anything <= 4.20 (which is a crap-load of games compared to only 3.55 - so why complain?) and then will have to subscribe to a service to obtain 4.20+ eboots. So if someone downloads these eboots they could simply upload them elsewhere which means they would have to be tied to a free Dongle that you get for subscribing.
Of course, this along with the majority of other posts this is pure speculation just like the previous months posts about the E3 what their elusive new CFW and Dongle. Well, it looks like E3 changed their plans and to what extent no one knows other then them.
What we do know is they are going to release every PS3 game they decode implemented in some sort of system, that they will release the 4.20 keys allowing the conversion of all <= 4.20 games for 3.55 users and that they have proved time after time with 100% free eboots to backup their claims.
We can speculate on the delivery system for PS3 eboots, but that that it is all it is; speculation. I don't think I need to remind how many other people fell into the past speculation to either bash or praise E3 and how wrong they were.
I suggest you sit, wait and in the meantime go play Batman or something. Spending your time arguing about possible outcomes is pointless to the fact you seem like a herd of sheep easily scared by wolves (TB) or having to spend money.

Okay, i checked i had BLES folder on my hdd.
Next i downloaded the patch for EU version and installed it.
Then went to mm and loaded the game. Asked me for updating sfo to 3.55, i clicked yes.
Went to xmb and fired it up.
Blank screen.
And i have a BR disc in the ps3 as well.

The difference between E3 Team and fake devs, is that they ACTUALLY are doing something to help the scene. You guys remember MrJailbreak619, TheEggDevs, and all that ****ty fakes. But E3 Team launches working eboots, they know what they're doing.
I wonder why some people are still complaining. They'll launch a free method to play 3.6x+ games, what's wrong with that?

E3 Team doesn't want people to DEX their consoles. It's against their interest (especially those behind the TB). Now, E3 will surely charge some hardware for downgrade or some hardware kind of thing.
The DEX leak surely hit those elites (eussNL, moogie, Math, all those crooks) right in the foot and incapable of fixing this - they are 'releasing' (if they are behind the E3 - as surely they are behind the TB) free eboots and yadiyadaa to cover this (which is good).
Don't get me wrong, it's a great step for the scene.
The PS3Devwiki is half filled with 'truth', and garbage useless info and lies (DEX is causing more stress to the console or 3.60 backups DEX doesn't exist -- Look it up, it's still there).
If you go to the DEX leak wiki page, you'd see that they are doing everything for people to avoid DEXing their console as if its some kind of nuclear bomb to avoid.
They are just hoping to talk people out of it through fear.
Anyway, free games for all because of the DEX leak forever (let's hope) and more hardware solution for other things. Sounds like the PS3 scene is following the X360 route - which is good (in a way).

Very interesting news.
The only reasonable explanation I have given to myself that a company such E3 will release such a valuable information for free, Is probably because they have gotten something much more bigger than we've imagined (pick any answer -> bootldr exploit/LV0 keyset). If it's true, they can use this great discovery for downgrading EVERY console, with their flasher, to E3's special 3.55 cfw (which will support the new motherboards and probably will have the future psn passphrases as well).
I guess time will tell if I were right or wrong.

People want things for free and they want it right now and even when that happens they want more and more even if it doesn't benefit them in any way, shape or form. I mainly blame this on their education level, experience in the "scenes" and the lack of leadership. I mean, most of this thread is the same as always - just a bunch of kids acting like gossiping school girls.
One day they like you, one day they don't ... never ending changing of viewpoints based on not hard facts. People should take the main article for what it says and not sit around arguing about what it doesn't say.
In all honesty for the ones who disliked E3 based on speculation and now suddenly praise them aren't even worth bothering talking to. VBulletin has a really nice ignore feature and I use it often.

I got a blank screen, so..
3) I Rebooted the ps3 and tried again. Had a disc in ps3 as well. It worked.

i think it ll do the trick if u try to go to mm once again and load it once more. That is, u try to do the procedure twice.
I did the reboot of my ps3 and then the whole mm and xmb thing again.
It installed.
I had the BLES copy and kept a disc in the ps3.. just in case.

So what if they sell the downgrader. They sold it then and they sold it now and it's not like every PS3 CFW user could even use the thing! So now you're going to assume they can create a > 3.55 CFW and then bash them for it.
How do you know they have the keys needed for a CFW?
You're going to get your games; be happy. If not go ahead and make a 4.21 CFW as I would really enjoy one as I'm on OFW 4.21.

My console came with OFW 3.?? (I don't recall) and I upgraded to 3.15 to run Linux, then eventually broke down and upgraded to the latest OFW to play a game I wanted to play. Therefor I could easily downgrade to 3.55 using the E3 Flasher, but unlike some I do not have the resources to purchase another PS3 or am willing to risk something that cost me $600 so this news for me and like yourself has little effect.
I also did I guess misunderstood what you said and totally agree that E3 is a business and that businesses are out to make money and whining about hypothetical situations where E3 charges for this and that is pointless to the degree of what you mentioned.

WOW just as I was about to put this ps3 on ebay LOL E3 rocks but its a good move they know TB is in charge of the Dongle world so if you can't beat them at there own game then end there game and start your own E3 Downgrader sales will sky rocket I love every moment of this just keeping my fingers cross that they keep there word. Only downside to this is sony would just change there keys as with geohotz release but once they keep updating us with the keys theres no problem

I will say this, E3 have a good reputation of keeping their word and delivering.

Since they released the E3 card reader (long time ago), they charged the minimum possible compared to other exploits made available at that point (if I remember correctly, CFWs were not still available).
Their release have been always user friendly and their objective is very clear: Help downgrade / re-flash / un-brick ...or I should say, "SAVE" consoles.
Their business have never been like "True Blue" + Clones, in any way.
So in my eyes, personally I believe E3 are not in the same universe as "True Blue".
Right now, I cannot talk about the future, because I don't know what "will" eventually happen (if someone does know, then please let me know the lottery winning numbers, thanks! LMAO).
So, time is the only one who will reveal if E3 will maintain their good reputation or will make them fall to the dark and sh*tty abyss where True Blue is located right now.

I would consider Batman AC a quality title.

Well this makes sense if you think about it as 3.55 is still needed to run these games by releasing their method for free they know that they become more popular and people that are on 3.56+ acre more swayed to buy their product, they must also know about dex methods and that any dongle they could relase would be very unpopular and that clones would soon arrive. i think they will release the "game keys" for free(eboots free)
but with "system" they mean a dongle CFW solution with PSN acess, just like TB when insert it "turns into another CFW", assuming they have the mother****erbadass key, so who bought the "system" solution will always have a up-to-date CFW with no need to patch games and PSN ACESS, but this CFW will only works with dongle insert.
with CEX2DEX "no one" will paying for play newer games,they know it just matter of time and the conversion will be more noob friendly

Personally... i think the System is a custom firmware (operative system in pc's... or... ps3 system firmware that is what sony uses)
The obvious question is how they are going to create us the "needed" to register to this system ?
Because like other of you said.... if there is only 1 user registered... and this user releases the EBOOT.BIN's publically... then there is no need to anyone to register in this "system"... and this is a nonsense, it cant be so simple
So the "solution" is to "bind" the EBOOT.BIN's to the user.... and for this is needed this custom firmware
But the only way to do this is signing (call it sign, bind, pair, or what you like) the EBOOT.BIN's with "per-user" keys (call it IDPS, PSID, serial number, or any other hardware identifyer)
I have no idea if this is possible, but is the only way i see for all this "system" to work
And btw... there is a way to make this "system" licit (or in other words... to avoid law problems)
Imagine a "server utility" that retrieves the EBOOT.BIN from the user... then decrypts it and resign, and returns the file to the user

Well, is even nicer is you store a database of the hashes of all the eboot's that the users sends (and a converted copy of each different eboot)
This way the "server tool" doesnt needs to download all the eboots everytime.... only the new ones... and also its only needed to make the conversion only 1 time for every eboot (after the resigning, the "result" eboot is sended to the user, and stored in the database for the next users)

The eboot don t have so much values anymore, customers who wanted them already have bought one of the dongle available. And the others who didn t buy any dongles can go to cex dex to get theirs eboots.
May be in couples of months with the newest games it can be again valuable but at this time, you already played BATMAN or you just give up or didn t mind.
The two eboots released are a bit specific, one being TB disc, the other wasn t the game this team said it was impossible for TB to get? not sure but untill theirs solution is ready, they need to keep away users from cex dex. And even that, the only way to get somes customers will be to target the ones who don t have cfw, so make them come back or if they get theirs way from the news models.
Afterall, their main product is /was hardware flasher.
After, the system part, i think it s message for tb team if it isn t the same team of course. But the message is pretty much cryptic and probably means nothing really.
The friendly user image is as this point higly necessary for them if they want to sell theirs products, they can not have the same way as TB, users are not patients anymore and have too much dongles.

The E3 team are working on a 4.x (or whatever) cfw/dongle combo that will only run their self signed eboots for backups. They release the specific key used to sign those eboots + the eboot's compatible with their cfw.
That way users of their dongle combo would get psn access and all that jazz while everyone else would be able to run any game they release eboots to on an arbitrary 3.55 cfw sans psn support.
Just sayin'...

if you have a debug console you can what ever you want with
soo in order to stop poeple from converting to dex they have to do something
so they are releasing the keys that is what i think
just think about it if i have the keys why would i convert my ps3 to a debug
having a debug console is 70% OF cracking the ps3 system

For example Batman:AC the disc eboot hasn't been cracked ( no idea why seeing as the update has been cracked (if they have keys) ) but the eboot contained within the update data has been cracked. So when launching the game it bypasses the original eboot from the game disc (v1.0) and loads the update eboot (v1.04) which has been exploited/key'd, from the game data (update) folder rather than the game backup folder.

With only CFW 3.55 they need to patch higher fw functions in 3.55, which is a pain of a work... This gets protected by dongles aka TB.
With dex 4+ they don't need to just decrypt and reencrypt for dex.
Since they downgrade the eboot encryption you can easily do the 2. part on your own and don't need their dongle just the eboot and they have not much work with doing it for dex.
That's basicly it. I hope their new way of making money are donations.

E3TEAM are building a full new system to release those free gift . We expect user can join this system to get what they want after 1-2 month.
So system will be ready in 1-2 months or user should be register for 1-2 months and then get possibility to download?

Honestly, I'm tired of everyone talking stuff like: "Oh there must be a catch!", "They are lying", "Blah blah blah", "drama drama drama"...
Future is UNKNOWN, so we cannot JUDGE something that has not happened.
Where is the catch on the E3 Flasher ? ...
Where is the catch on the free EBOOT releases they have made ?...
Where is the catch on the E3 Card Reader ?...
If we can 'expect' something based on previous experience, then we can expect good delivery and results from E3, they have a good reputation of keeping their word and releasing useful tools to "SAVE" consoles (downgrade / un-brick / dual-boot / etc ).
Again, E3 in my logical opinion, is NOT in the same universe as True Blue.
In the other hand, we cannot say the same thing about True Blue and clones, they have a bad reputation, and their activities are a disgrace, we can only expect sh*t from them.
Time will reveal if E3 will maintain their reputation, or if they will fall in the sh*tty abyss where True Blue is located.

Its my own choice, whether I wanna embrace their system, which will probably have some sort of pay to it. Batman AC doesn't work for me when I launch it shows installing game data right at the start at 100% and after a second black screen. I can press PS button but when i turn off game but it restarts console. I installed only E3 fix and running from internal HDD BLUS***** version. Please help!

I Can't seem to get Batman Arkham City to work, I've tried with both the US and EU PKG's , modyfing the games PARAM.SFO for the corresponding versions of the game, it only shows "Corrupted Data" from now on , but the first time i tried to boot the game it kicked me straight back to the XMB with the "an error occurred during the starting operation" message, i downloaded the backup from a torrent labeled as Batman Arkham City TB Patched , one strange thing, the folder said BLES, but in the PARAM.SFO the game was labeled as BLUS. could someone please help me run this game? thank you , and have a lovely day.
