What has happened is that the amount of likes, is being stored in an unsigned 32bit integer obviously, as its max value is ((2^32)-1) (which equals 4,294,967,295.^^). So somehow, the like counter when it was at 0 was subtracted with a 1 somehow, so it wrapped from the minimum(32 zeros) to the maximum possible value(32 ones), and are now stuck at the maximum value :D

The source is a scene FTP server, It was pre'd on scene. I 100% guarantee you that you wont be seeing the "source".

Like said befre while this is nice and all there are only a few games that can still only be played with true blue and what I read from the nfo he didn't actually obtain a way to make new games work on old firmware he just acquired the ability to crack the drm on the true blue dongle. This means that a patch of the Dongle could just as well prevent this from happening in future games so while its good that we can play some more games now I think its only a very marginal victory.

Yea, the 0 takes a space as well, which is why the maximum size is 2^32-1 and not 2^32.
It _was_ subtracted a value of one, as it is necessary to make it wrap from its lowest possible to its highest possible number, which is 2^32-1(=4,294,967,295)... Did we misunderstand each other somehow? o0

so to get the keys the easy way..
Using your console specific eid_root_key/iv (e.g. from metldr dump) and libeeid (insert the seed in keys.c) you can then decrypt EID4 directly by calling

Now you got the two keys you need in eid4+0x00 and eid4+0x10
so there you have it people...they are using there own console root key to decrypt and now the keys to heaven are ours!!!!!

i havent really been all that interested in the trueblue so i have only skimmed through any news about them so if someone could clarify something for me please. ( i know i should pay more attention but i'm into hardware rather than software hacks )
this is cracked by duplex. i get that
but didnt trueblue give duplex the methord in the first place so they could re-patch and release the game eboots for trueblue.
if so then havent duplex simply re-patched the eboot without adding the trueblue dongle requirement.
also is this method documented anywhere as yet so we can learn from this (even if its just a partial documentation )

Great news, but does this mean we need to wait for the TB team to release a games fix before we get that game ? I mean I imagine cracking the TB DRM is the hardest thing, if someone gets to figure out the method TB team uses to release game fixes, and release it to the community, we'll get our fixes a lot faster right ?

Great news! So this is a reversal of the DRM that TB implemented on their hacked eboots, but am I right in thinking we still dont know how TB team actually hacked those eboots to work on 3.55 in the first place?
The above question might be moot if whatever method they were using only worked upto a certain FW, say 4.11 or something? Presumably Sony changed the encryption after TB team started releasing patches.
What Im saying is we still dont know how to decrypt the original eboot, or does this now not matter because their method (whatever it was) doesn't work on newer games? (Havent seen a new TB patch for a while now...)

My TB unbrick code (modified busninja) has been up on github for months for an atmega328 (dumpninja)... no one bothered to ask about it and I lost interest after some personal stuff made it a very low priority. Never released it because the process was quite convoluted, the controller app for the FLASH read/write electronics I designed was in need of polishing, and required some pretty extreme skills to accomplish.
Also Mongoose was about Cobra, not TB. (Mongooses (Mongi?) kill cobras) The TB security was actually lower. A simple reflash with a backup would unbrick the TB. Additionally, all features of the Cobra Dongle WERE released. FSM, one, PS2 play on all models. ;-)

The PS2 play on all models isn't for backups like Cobra.

So it seems TB's encryption has been cracked any the Dongle did only serve as a DRM device. Interesting...
I wonder if they (the Team's) can decrypt and fix all of the patches as the 3.6 leak leaves you without some higher FW TB only games that technically couldn't be played until now.
I also wonder if all of the revisions of the TB dongle's encryptions have been cracked. Each new release added more DRM crap, so people say.
Also, by the looks of it it's not just the eboots they were hacking.

My first though was that the TB group already found in oktober or november the 3.60 KEys. They made a dongle for money.
Now the keys are leaked. and almost 80- 90 % of the TB dongle released are already working on 3.55 CFW.
Maybe TB did find the keys of 3.70 already (added it with the 2.7 Release) and now duplex has find them also.
we will see what the next few days will bring...

There's no method being exposed that will be patched by Sony.

I think the confusion comes from TB using duplex rips to add their DRM. Most torrent sites package them together....

The biggest file in the package is an .SDAT (common.sdat - 105 MB), apparently these kind of files are encrypted. The interesting thing is that Portal 2 game has 2 SDAT but they are not patched in TB patch release.

However, you may be correct that Duplex has only figured out how to remove the DRM and not discovered how the eboots were originally cracked. Paradox is a notorious warez group and Duplex while not so vindictive is also a warez group. So what does that mean? Groups don't like to release their findings with other groups as it's a race to see how many cracks, exploits, etc ... can be released first.
With that in mind even if Duplex can reverse engineer the process they most likely won't share it, but on a positive note they will continue to release cracks for newer games that come out; providing the method can be used.
Do they have the keys and know the method(s)? We'll see if they start releasing cracks for games that Paradox didn't release that are of course > 3.60 firmware. Until then I expect to see the current TB cracks for your warez'ing pleasure to start flowing like the water.

And true to what they mention, they have only released EBOOTs that were already available to TB users, they havent released nothing new. And so, they still need TB to release the EBOOTs, if they do not know the method that TB uses to get hold of the EBOOTs before putting DRM into them then they depend on TB as well. And DRM can be changed, like they have done to prevent clones from using their EBOOTS, what is necessary to get rid of TB is the method they use to get the EBOOTS in the first place

Let the DRM plague be eradicated by the Duplex team. Next on the list "Cobra!"; They delivered us plenty of multiMAN updates but they haven't implemented the dongle full capabilities for us to use within multiMAN. I have good feeling about them though maybe they we will show retribution towards us and allow there dongle features be installed in future mmCM versions. I'm willing to patiently wait and see if this outcome happens.

For those who wonder why DUPLEX released the cracked TB patches without any explanation or method on how they achieved it, it is because "Release Groups" never do that, they just "Release". Plus, they don't have any obligation to do so, they do it for fun and pleasure!.
On the PC gaming "cracking" scene there are many groups like "SKIDROW", "RAZOR1911", "RELOADED", they have been providing patches / cracks without any explanation for ages, and nobody is messing with them because they don't release methods.
That is the way it has been for Release Groups, and that's the way it remain, love it or hate it

exactly m8 ..if razor911 cracked a game with new protection on pc (lets call it securerom 13) they wouldnt share how they did it with any of us they would just release the crack and say hey look what we can do...this is what i hope will happen to the ps3 scene...they crack them...we play them..thats all...its good enough for me

Duplex rocks and I believe that E3 showed they can crack games higher than 3.6 unless I´m mistaken.

Now just a bit of reality for some of you who might think this is the holy grail. TB and E3 still have all of the npdrm keys and even better yet, they know how to get the latest keys. So, if you think dongles are over....... your being delusional.

I tried the Batman Arkham City Fix on Dex 3.55 and it asked me to update my firmware..

Well, they didn't crack TB, they cracked their eboots. So if TB cannot protect "their" eboots, there will be no new eboots so we are basically where we were this time last year. Unless E3 releases latest keys. That would be the best.

TB was on life support. Each product (especially this ones) has the lifespan of 2/3 years or less. Problem for them was (i think) they saw that they cannot do more profit from this, so they let the product die and promising and updated/better/upgraded one.
Making some update (software) to the dongle (as the HDD fiasco) maybe was taken into consideration but maybe they knew in some point that solution was a *no-go* for the product.
Also they went radio silent for too much time, meanwhile E3 statements still are on the table.
Like i said many times, E3 (empty handed or not) made a move. TB did not reply to that don't know if they ignored it or what happened there.
And I know that DUPLEX it's not the saviour but as i say over twitter also in here, duplex managed to crack this **** and for me it's enough.
Even if they manage to recover from this, patch the hole and bring another DRM device.

You need the private keys to make a cfw.
The private keys for 3.55 got cracked, by calculating the keys, which sony has patched, so it's really hard to gain the keys now.

The Thing with the "4 Games HDD" ?...

damn I was way off, I thought most of these games had been "un-re-patched". I think I was mixing in the games that work on dex with the 3.55 cfw ones...

I dont get any of thoose DEX-Threads...
or... converting to DEX at least about 70-80%...

if anyone could help i'd appreciate it greatly!! I've tried just the 9.99 spoofer, editing the param.sfo to 3.55, and the pkg fix from ps3 news (dot) com however I continue having issues getting passed the Rockstarr video screen, it goes black then pops up with screen trying to update my ps3 software..? I really want to play this game and have spent countless hours trying to get it working..
update:
Tried to go from CFW 3.55 Kmeaw to CFW Rebug 3.55.2 and still the same results..
