i cant get it to run keep getting error (the program cant start because MSVBVM50.DLL is missing from the computer. tried downloading and reinstalling 3 times any suggestions.

Thank you tons Aldo ... excellent work! I was following the wip thread and it has made some great and quick progress! Also thanks Gingerbread for the helpful suggestion you were making in that thread as well.

Going to install now and see if I can get those Disgaea 4 codes working with the version I have .... that 100% steal is an awesome time saver! :P

Just wanted to post an update ... I got the GTA4 codes switched to a new region easily and all the codes worked great. I did that by editing the existing and changing the game info.

But I found a bug in creating a new game and adding codes. I tried to create a new version of Disgaea 4 (different region code and version) and just add the steal code, I could create the code and add it just fine, but as soon as I would switch to another game and come back to it the code would disappear completely. So then I tried adding the code and immediately saving the database and it still disappeared and the saved database showed a blank code spot when I loaded it in the cheat loader on the ps3.\

So unless I am missing something, the ability to edit existing codes works perfect but adding new games and codes still has an issue.

2. Using Cheats - Open .ELF in hex editor of your choice, locate cheat location via offsets or codes posted by those who hacked the game, change hex values and save.If you want the Said Code Put Code Steps in here
Code steps are the Patterns you will find.. they will tell u what to replace. you replace them using your fav Hex editor . (I use Hex workshop)

3. HDD Backups - If you intend on playing the game off of a HDD, Open .ELf in hex editor of your choice, find all instances of "/dev_bdvd/", change to a valid "/dev_hdd0/" path*, and save.

4.Encrypt the Elf to a Self
(you can use MakePKG.bat along with ps3tools to do this)
Eboot.elf, Param.sfo.Icon0.png Are truly the only files u need but its always good to put your Trophies data also in your PKG
If the Hacker has told you the games needs to be loaded from another game ID then u need to change the game id In the Param.SFO Example if u see BLUS00012 just change the L to X and that will do it.

5.Build the .pkg. (
(you can use MakePKG.bat along with ps3tools to do this)

6.Install the .pkg, then depending on how you build the .pkg, transfer remaining files.

b) How to use cygwin to make PKGs and decrypt the EBOOT.BIN
c) Modify the eboot for HDD playing
d) Re-encrypt EBOOT.ELF
e) Create PKGs
f) Sign PKGs for Geohot 3.55 CFW

What it does not show:
a) How to get EBOOT.BIN off the PS3
b) How to "hack" cheats for any game
c) How to rip games
d) Where to download games
e) Other things

Now, once you get to the part of modding /dev_bdvd to /dev_hdd0 you can do this, or you can skip it. Changing the paths to /dev_hdd0 lets you play the game from the HDD, before moving onto re-encrypting you simply use the hex editor to search for the cheat using the pattern of numbers & letters (these are called BYTES) by pressing CTRL + F in the hex editor, or by going to it's search menu along the top. After that follow the video for making a PKG.

Ok hoping for some help ... so I found the Disgaea 4 USA codes from the CMP and it is formatted like this:

Disgaea 4 USA v1.13

100% Steal Rate

But the codes on this program are formatted like:

hi any1 able to add cheats for updated BLUS30591 black ops 1.01 with map packs coz work for zombies on v1.00 but when i use Black.ops.Full.113.Patch.Cracked-(ZombieKillah).pkg cheats nolonger work any ideas iv tryed changing cheats version but that didnt work any1 have new codes i can use on normal zombie levels but i want to use them on dlc plz

look for your pc calculator switch it to programmer mode write the offset example 00309100 then add 10000 with your calculator copy and paste it back it should work on usercheat.

OK so....first of all if the title of my post didn't let you know in the first place, i am a total retard when it comes to computers and basically anything electronic. So lets just dispense with the "you're and idiot" comments and just help me if anyone can. I recently downloaded the ps3tools set, and i have absolutely no idea what i'm doing. I mainly downloaded it to be able to edit SFO files so i could use other ppls saves. However either i'm doing it wrong (most likely) or this thing just doesn't work. Secondly I see the cheats editor is also available. I also have no idea how to use this!! How do you apply the cheats to a save game?!! there is no readme file or no tutorial that i can find on how to do this. Every time i try something it just says corrupted data. I even thought It would be as simple as changing the account id in the sfo editor ....someone said that would work to be able to use others save games.....no dice. Could someone please help me .... im friggin rippin my hair out over here.

to use saves from other peoples just use "fake savedata owner" option on CFW rebug (earned trophies cant sync on PSN)

to use ps3usercheat just download it, put it on the root of your storage device and install it like any other .pkg

once again....you should talk to me like you are talking to a small child....or...a golden retriever. you say put ps3usercheat on the root of my storage device. Ok do you mean the WHOLE file? or just the cheats i want to use.....and if it's just the cheats i want to use...what do i download....just the number/letter codes or the whole thing? and what is a .pkg file... and how do i install it?? when i said "UBERNOOB" i wasn't joking. A good thing to keep in mind when you are explaining things to me....speak as if i've never used a computer before...that should make it a lot easier for me. And i can't use CFW rebug because i have a version over 3.55.

u r ****ed, you must be on 3.55 to use any homebrew (cheats, loader, emus, etc), so if your ps3 firmware is over 3.55 then there is nothing you can do
