Some of the devs were playing a dirty game. This is what results when you do that. In fact, some of the releases are part of competition from the dirty game. I'm glad out of everybody that E3 decided to step forward and come clean. Good move for the scene and good business move for E3.

Because You can always ask yourself why just releasing the 3.60 keys and not the rest? Even more than that, I am almost certain that E3 was planning to release just the Appldr public keys (and not the rest of the ldrs), because like I said, this info can ruin their business (downgrades the old fashioned way & new methods of JB).

The list says virtual tennis 4,I thought this was a 3.56 game.btw duplex had a patch for this game.Anyway back to my story..................
I added the keys and used deans ebootfix.Made my pkg for 3.55 and installed it on ps3.Shadow copied the game and tried to boot game from xmb.
Hdd activity and BOOM back to xmb.I really thought this way would work diskless as the duplex way did not.
Anyway i guess there is no hope in running this game without disk,even with the 3.60 keys.
I am getting the load logo bar but it freezes.

There must be a reason these keys has been released and a higher firmware's as not.
We were all told it was impossible to get the keys since the 3.60 update moved everything into to L0 and now they are released.
So if it possilbe to get the 3.60 keys it begs the question why not 4.2+ keys?
Or is this indiction that higher keys will be released into the wild soon?

I think it is safe to assume that all of the keys up to 4.21 have been found otherwise TB would not have been able to release the latest games.
Why a mysterious anon has released 3.60 keys and program responsible for making 3.60 games compatible with 3.55 is anyones guess, but my feeling is that there is a war brewing behind the scene and currently the only victors in this private war are us.

The same goes with the statement of E3, i never saw such statement being made and getting away alive from a board.
So like i said many times before, better they have a plan b/c/d/f/ (you can keep going) just IN CASE they fail to deliver.
I tought on the idea of BAIT, someone releases a softmod solution. There you reach an dead end if you don't play *well your cards*.
Because you will need to pay (speculation) for that solution and they have to came up with a nice security scheme if they go for the *free the keys of 4.2x* = Anyone can pay for that piece of soft and uploaded it anywhere to others to leech.
So long story short.
If they = E3 goes for a dongle solution with DEX method being around or any other team they have more chances END IN JAIL than fill their own pockets with more money. The same goes for TB.

Why havent they released 4.xx keys? Cos then there would be no need to buy their new dongle.
If you ask me E3, if they have the 4.xx keys, should release them. Sure that means no dongle, but it also means other dongle makers cannot sell their dongles.
However E3 have other products, if they release the new keys, and if those keys can be used to make cfw 4.xx, then more people will buy their dual boot e3 flasher. Sure cloner will then clone their flasher, but then seeing as E3 would have released the keys for free, more people would support them instead.
Of course this probably wont happen as they lose control and have no confidence in their other products or expect people to buy them, even though more people will need them.

some of these already worked on 3.55 without fixes...like mma i just threw the disc in and it works, and la noire didnt need a patch either, i just threw on the sen 4.21 spoof and put disc in and it ran but when i disable the spoof they dont run? anyway ive played all of these that im interested in. other than jak hd collection and resistance 3.

Well one reason no higher keys have been leaked is that the hole they used to get the keys may have been patched after 3.60
There have been and still are exploits to get newer keys.

Red Faction Armageddon boots back to XMB and gives "error during startup (80010007)"
im running rebug 3.55-2 0.7 with latest multiman, im no noob when it comes to this. Yet im at a loss here. Am I missing something, I used deans eboot fix with the 3.6 keys added to it. The program fixed it no problem, transfered the fixed files to the respected spots. Loaded from external and fail. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I tried both fixes. The original one and the one from PropJOE too. In the first one PS3 just said 'unknown data' or something like that in place of the disc when I tried to load the game through multiman.
In the second one it booted but got stuck at a black screen after move intro.

Not sure if this is old news or not but, i tried decrypting some of the true blue eboots with the scetool gui, they didn't work, but interestingly i clicked the "Show File Info" tab and on that info in the Key Revision field it says "[DEBUG (devkit)]". Proof that true blue are using debug eboots? or atleast using debug keys. Like i say, i'm not sure if this is new news or not, or if it is even helpful to anyone but thought i would post it just in case, please don't flame

I can confirm resistance 3 does not work for me using the update and geohot fix posted earlier. I have the BCUS version and even after the pkg installs and editing the param.sfo....no dice...errors after move screen.

Trying the Bleach eboot, the 2MB one gives me black screen, the 7MB one gives 80010017 error. Select+X gives Error ocurred while moving game to new location

The only difference between the new portal fix and what I was doing this morning is that materialsystem_ps3.sprx is fixed too, I couldnt get it to fix without throwing up an error and failing.....

On a similar note, i can't seem to get scetool to encrypt an eboot at all.
Whenever i give the command to encrypt it, it just gives me a windows error similar to 'SCETOOL.EXE IS NO LONGER RESPONDING' and i can only close it.
I'm using these commands to get the self, then resign to 3.41:
Offcourse it doesn't matter which eboot.elf i try to re-sign, even unpacked 3.55 fixes from some of the threads here generate the same windows error..

I awake to find this and progress is good, but too bad that 3.60 number didn't read 4.21. I guess you can take what you get, eh? As for all these people trying to patch games and failing I'm sure there are some other variables effecting the process. I'm surprised though that even the process is simple that a GUI hasn't popped out.
Have fun with your new keys kids and let's see what becomes of their use besides booting copied games.

Yeah it would be more quicker if you do it yourself but some people may not understand how to do it even though [MENTION=224021]DEFAULTDNB[/MENTION] provided us with a simple process. Also people are decrypting 3.6 games of their personal interest instead of testing out each individual game thats provided by the pastie.bin. It would be more efficient if we upload and organize them so they can be accesible to the PS3Hax community.

Rage has a 3.60 update, but there's both an eboot, and patch.self inside which i don't know how to handle yet.
I'm betting there is a whole lot more games which have 3.60 updates.. Sony is really sloppy. "uh yeah let's keep those old 3.60 keys current for updates and secure the games on disc with 4.x" hahahaha!

What I meant earlier is that we need a section or thread with hyperlinks to these file sharing websites and provide passwords if needed instead of some of glaring at the threads waiting for someone to give us a eboot to game we forgot about or wanted. Similar to what with happen Cex > Dex because people were confuse and didnt bother to read the while being *ASKHOLES* resulting to a guide being established which was appreciaciated throughout the PS3 Scene.

It works but I cant attack and their seem to be some issues with the game. for example when you walk out of the jail when you start the game you can immediately see a boss that shouldnt be there at the beginning. and I cant climb a ladder at the beginning so your immediatley stuck. Very strange

Good night... i tried to patch Dirt 3 with "ebootfix" and i thought that i was in good way. I did change the eboot with success. In ps3 launched with multiman and asked me to change to 3.55 and said yes.. then installed it (game instalation)..and then the game begins in presentation, and i was happy :D !!! But when i entered in the menu i could not play the game because my ps3 is saying that i don't have any ps3 control!!!! It's like doesn't knowns sixaxis. I've tried with another controller and another ps3, and the error was the same. I came here then but the links are offline for dirt3, so anyone have a clue on this? Thank you and i'm sorry for my rusty english :P.

ive got a couple questions i need to ask to wrap my head around this leak;
please bear with me
1. Since npdrm keys were released, does that mean 3.60 CFW?
1.a- related to the first) which ps3 key does sit at the top of the foodchain? the one that, if gotten, people will even be able to create custom bootloaders?
2. Can these keys be used for any other FW? does SONY updates every key
there is (besides the per console keys which i think are in the hw) ?
3. How different is OFW 3.60 from say OFW 4.20 ?
4. Why are people only posting eboots? isnt the complete blu ray image needed?

2= none of the keys we got for 3.60 can do that
3 =they the same with diffent features and use diffent keys
4= ppl are only posting the eboot because u should already have the rest of the game , no need to post the whole game . eg i got saint row 3 and i just need the eboot . why does someone need to upload the whole game when all i need is a eboot . and if u say what about if the person who hasnt got the rest if the game well thats there problem and they shouldnt need the eboot then

This is the normal 1.01 update pkg, but with patched eboot.bin and param.sfo, so I would imagine it should work using the disc too. I am unsure if it will run on 3.41, but it is signed for 3.41 and has 3.41 in the param.sfo.

You will get a file .exe and then u install it ( remember to decline toolbar and other stuff it want you to install) and then the program will download pkg file.

Anyway, if it helps anyone, here is a nice little set of batch scripts that someone made to work along side scetool:

Use the GETSELFINFO.bat to figure out what version your eboot (my copy of Resistance 3 was ver. 3.65) is. Which helped explain why I couldn't modify some of the eboots...
Don't forget to grab the Conent ID if you're changing the eboot from an update.

But neither of these posts get into patching additional self and sprx files, which is needed for some games. MW3 and NFS The Run have both failed for me because I don't know how to patch these additional files.
But others have patched games with these files like Portal 2, so hopefully the info on how to do this will trickle down.

Is anyone else getting an error like 8001003C when trying to run games with decrypted 3.60 updates? I've tried doing it myself and using others' eboots but I get the same error in every 3.70+ game with 3.60 update. Standard 3.60 games work just fine.

But the game give some weird bug it... It works fine from internal but cutscene will freeze when i select to start from white knight chronicles 1 inside the game I have to skip the cutscenes and the game will work.
IF i select white knight chronicles 2 inside the game, the game freeze. What i want is to make the game 100% work that"s why i gave the 3.60 update for people to check this one. I don't have enough experience to decrypt this kind of update eboot.

I tried to patch Tekken Tag HD and Tekken Tag 2 Prologue as they have 3.60 eboots but despite npdrm patching the eboots with scetool 0.2.7 to fw 3.55 succesfully and patching the param.sfo's to 3.55 too, it still says I need to update to fw 3.60 to play the games in the XMB. The game doesn't have any sprx etc files.

is it wrong that i install pkg from the root of my external hdd? some of the fixes I got were .pkg files and everytime I install the .pkg fix, they don't work when I boot up a game thru multiman. (Dead Island, Dirt 3, UMVSC3, Fear) The data shows up on the folder GAME DATA but makes no difference, still won't work.
While the other fixes (Replace only the EBOOTs thru FTP) they work. (Green Lantern, Captain America)
If I'm doing it wrong, what should I do?

Exactly bro. But the ones that only required a change of Eboot.bin such as Captain America and green Lantern (both were also TB-ready games, yet they worked flawlessly.) My only problem is the .pkg fixing. I always get the errors 80010009 and 80010003c.

Could someone decrypt the Portal 2 1.01 update as it's supposedly signed with 3.60 keys? Can't really figure out how to do it myself (ebootfix/mod won't work on the update). I'm still struggling to get the game to work, I'm hoping the update will fix the ingame error that I'm getting.

I found out Dead Rising 2 has a 3.60 patch though
Probably a lot more games are 3.60 'patchfailsony' style. If you work your way chronologically trough the TB releases.. i guess you can see they got the keys (and/or eboots/fixes) sequentially from their supplier / cracker.
After TB exhausted the 3.60 stuff, they went for the 3.70 stuff. (Gal Gun for example has a 3.70 update, but the nfo claims disc eboot needs 3.73 keys.)

Couldn't we generally just switch the files (EBOOT, PARAM, etc.) on the computer before FTP'ing or putting onto an external HDD? I've gotten Portal 2, Red Faction Armageddon, and Skyrim working by switching the files on the computer rather than doing it after installing it onto the internal HDD through a file manager (ie. MM).
Also, has anyone overcome the black screen issue with Arkham? If so, how? That's the only game I've tried that hasn't worked. The others required a bit of tweeking, but Arkham City was the only exception that gave me a black screen (wasn't frozen, just a black screen).

this confirmations that i bring are 100% real.
The thing is that me and my friends dont use most of the eboots or fixs here because a lot of them do not work.
So we had to do a bit of search to find real fixs.
So when people say to me "hey mikhael, i tried the fix and didnt work"...thats why (or the problem is not in your fix, but in your game...if you downloaded from the web its quite possible to have altered files to be able to work with dongles).

Someone know if Spider man edge of time can be fixed? I tried to fix the eboot but i get a error "Could not find keyset for SELF" "Could not decrypt header" thats the errors that i get. The game is 3.66.

It took many moons for 3.60 keys to be released; and DMCHDC is 4.01 ...
With the current pace, I wonder how long I'll be waiting before DMCHDC is playable on CFW then? :lol:
