andoma aka Andreas Öman has released the latest update to his test version of Showtime 4.0, this version is 4.1.99, here is a quote of the last few changes:

    4.1.99

Add support for setting custom movie titles directly from the item popup menu

    Fixes #1213

    4.1.98

Add an action in settings->general to clear the entire metadb item table.

Safeguarded with a popup as it is a non-revocable action.

    Fixes #1218

    4.1.95

ps3: When seeking using L2/R2, rescale seek delta based on duration of feature

In principle this make it so that the user can always seek from begining
to end in ~2 seconds regardless of how long the currently playing media is.

    Download:
    showtime-4.1.99-gd3b4c40.pkg
    showtime-gh-4.1.99-gd3b4c40.pkg

This is the current list of third party applications available in Showtime at the moment.

To use a plugin in Showtime, just navigate to the jigsaw puzzle icon (found in the top navigation bar) on Showtime’s home screen and from there you can browse a list of all these plugins and also install them.

All the devs that worked on the new showtime deserve a donation. Showtime did a 180 in awesomeness all i can say. I had it installed ,but did not use it as much until i seen the dramatic change = Now its addicting ,no need to say why ,but you all know, who use it..

Does anybody here know how to contact andoma akaAndreas man? I have a computer program I've found called Bino 3D video player. It allows you to watch 3D movies without a special 3D monitor or TV. I like to hook my tower up to my big scree and watch them. Since the source code is included on this download page, I was wondering if he could include the features in his Showtime player. I love it. There's different methods you can use. I use the same red/magenta glasses that you use to play Trioviz games like Arkham City in 3D. All you need is a graphics card in your PC that supports 3D. I was thinking since the PS3 already supports 3D that it could be possible.

Here's a link to the app...

      I haven't seen this reported.

If you install Show Time, and set it to automatically turn off the ps3 if there is no activity for a set period of time, the PS3 will turn off.

Good feature, i use it as i often fall asleep to a divx. So after it has finished playing it will turn the ps3 off.

Since upgrading to 4.30 Rogero V1.4, when it turns the ps3 off, EVERY TIME i turn it back on, it goes through the process of rebuilding the hard drive and says i did not shut the system down correctly. If i cancel the rebuild it wont let me use Show Time.

How does showtime fetch movie data what does it look for in a file as the reason I ask Is because some movies get all the glory and some don't. So if it's a simple edit of said file then the rest of my collection can benefit from this amazing homebrew. Thanks for reading.
