Now this isn’t totally PS3 related, but it is related to the PS3 control pad and will come in hand for many of you, im sure.

Over a year ago, we posted a story about an Android application that let you use your PS3 Control pad wirelessly on your Android device, the app has come a long way since then, it now allows you to map your own buttons to the specific area on the screen and whilst it isn’t the hardest thing in the world, the last thing people want to be doing is sitting configuring button maps before they play each game, for those of you who haven’t the time to map your own buttons, a brand new website has opened, where you can download pre configured button maps, here is a quote from the site:
There is this really great outfit called Dancing Pixel Studios that created this really awesome app called SixAxis Controller which can tether your PS3 controller to an android device (yes, your Playstation 3â„¢ controller to your phone or tablet)! Well, this application uses Profiles which are used for seperate games – it can be difficult to track down profiles or make your own. Well no longer!

This is cool.
I use my PS3 DS3 controller to play Nintendo 64 on the PC, don't use the analogue sticks, though. Don't need them.
I prefer the d-pad and the buttons, it feels like a classic controller just with the basics.

I use this on my nexus, and with a ps1 emulator this is awesome when on road trips. I can mount my phone to my chair or someplace and use the controller to play my games...
Its truly an awesome app!!

Man I wish this could be ported to iPhone.
Then my old "True Cobra" controller to ps3 pad mounting technology would be effective....

If your phone is not rooted use a usb otg cable (if your phone / kernel support usb otg).
Some ppl also reported they was able to link a ps3 pad with a transformer tablet without any app (only usb otg to "sync" then bluetooth was working).

Off topic but slightly on topic

http://www.computerandvideogames.com...loper-support/
So looks like vita will suffer just like the psp but this time not because of piracy.
but because of android n iphone
Yeah handheld gaming has changed
Sony finally admit that, Nintendo are aware and slightly worried, microsoft knew not to even get involved.
Handheld gaming is coming to an end. but i dont want this thing to happen with consoles
i dont want android or iphone games to rule the world

Nice to see this posted here =)

I been using it on my Asus Transformer Pad tablet 10.1" (TF300T). I had to enable root access for it to work, but it was very easy and it works like a charm on the latest Android update (Jelly Bean).
I use it with MAME4Droid / SuperGNES, and a few other apps.

sony shouldnt of continued with their portable gaming ecosystem instead merge with android os and improved play station and create psp certified games i would choose that over nexus,s2 or any other phone, i still miss my xperia play but it lacked in hardware and support from sony with games, i would love to clock more games but im not gonna buy a psp/vita for that reason alone.

yess they should have promoted a phone with the best gaming support.
it should have been way better than iphone or s3 both( dont like them both)
they have 3 xperia phones in top 10 best selling android phones.

Finally moved up from DragonICS to Vanilla Rootbox JB(Link above)
Was waiting for the JB ROMs to become a bit more stable and for AOKP to add hold back button to kill app :D

I own a PSP but got no plans to get a PSV, I'd rather prefer a 3DS.

If Sony doesn't do something to give vita users some flexibility and content, I dont see a good future for the handheld.

Consoles will die out.. its inevitable. I mean I find more enjoyment from .99¢ game than a 64.99$ game, issue? Yes.
I play the **** out of my old consoles, emulators and have way too much fun. Yup I use my controller to help play too.
Android gaming or well the way handheld gaming has formed from being cheap and long lasting hours of fun its more than possible consoles and handheld consoles will soon be gone. Besides consoles are getting too expensive anyway and the games/accessories. If I heard correct the WiiU Pro controller is like 150$ and they aren't even going to sell it in America at least that I know of.
Enjoy the old games, they are 50× better than the **** spewed out today. I beat resident evil 6 quickly and said it was a 40+ hour campaign game.
Nonetheless it was also a terrible, I'm selling to gamestop midnight release.
Just don't be surprised when devices such as android and their new handheld rootable device start taking over.

I highly suggest you check out DragonICS (might be DragonJB now) for your S3.
Its a combination of CM, AOKP and also AOSP if I remember right.
Ive been using it for months and its a great ROM which is well looked after.
Flash Siyah kernel and dualboot to it to try it out :D
