Square Enix rebooted version of Final Fantasy XIV, “A Realm Reborn,” is still coming to PS3 as well as PC. The company released the first screenshots of the PS3 version today, revealing the new UI for the console version.

The new UI allows players to set up their own button configurations, of course. Square says it’s been “designed with the traditional Final Fantasy controls in mind to give the game a classic RPG feel, familiar to any PlayStation 3 RPG gamers.” So that means you press X to confirm menu items? And use the d-pad to move between them? We’ve never put that much thought into “traditional Final Fantasy controls.”

Square Enix plans to release both the PS3 and PC versions of A Realm Reborn in 2013

"Final Fantasy 14 for PS3 exists, and here are the screens to prove it"

Ofcourse it exists, it wasn't like anybody called it a "vaporware" there were a handful of people who had participated in the closed betas and even there is a disc with the Debug/Prototype build of the "Project Rapture" dating as early as November 22 2005 floating in the black market.

The thing is that how much reliable are those screenshots/footage since people lost trust with the "mockup HUD of FFXIII" incident...
I can make a simmilar screenshot with a debug build of the game even without photoshop...

^That but either way I never cared in online versions of Final Fantasy. Those words just don't match(period)... Until they get that I enjoy the previous games and waiting for the next offline ones.

      A real vaporware.
the problem is not when but why releasing this garbage real time game.
The day the gay go back to turn based strategy ,70 percent of old players will go back to the franchise.
for now we dont care about bump mapping and texture displacement and all the 3d wannabe BS,just solid RPG for god sake

Square soft had pictures and slight info on Final Fantasy games in 2000 on a website that showed what was to be FFX-ff16. I am not surprised that the above photo was leaked. We all thought that it was rumor back then, but now looking at it, they were teasers for upcoming games. i love that company. :D

So I don't know if it is the Real-Time feel that is a turn off for this game or if it is just being charged for a game that you already paid for...
Well I had that problem when FFXI came out, the real-time messed with me, where were my turn by turn actions go??? Where are the constant battles with foes that are almost the exact same>>? Any Why the #*^& do I have to continue to pay for a game that I just bought (not including accesories to use the Ps2 for FFXI)?

Well after giving up when my character hit lvl 20 on the ps2 and hoping for years that someone with the skill, the courage, and the cooperation of others, would bring about the construction of a private server (especially since I read offical severs are permanetly down).

Turns out the wait was worth it, I was skimming the net looking for interesting things and found hundereds of Private servers for FFXI, only to find out that 95 percent are just pure bull, shut down, or virus givers.
But I did find 6 Private servers, all made by the same team, all reliable, all constantly being updated to the best of their ablilities.
I don't know if posting the address is a good idea or not and I have tried inquiring about this on private server side, the last thing that I and the Private server ppl would want is SE to come along and just shut it down.

All Servers are different from each other, 2 are test servers (your data will be erased every month) and others range from as close to the offical server as you can get, to 20x EXP / Gil drop dependant on your level vs that of the enemy (I.E. Easy Prey = 20 Gil / Incredibly Tough = 30,000 Gil), as well as other differences like movement speed doubled, automatic unlock of subjobs, and other stuff.

Just google and I will hope to see you all online fighting along side of me, also if I get permission I will post the address of this site I am talking about and a small tutorial I made to control more than one character at one time, so yes you can party with yourself, and yourself, and yourself.
