Probably 4.21/4.25 minimum.

1Gb on 2 Chip 256Mb ? WTF ?

It's just another PS3 Slim but its model number is 4000.
By the way, it would be interesting if the 4.15 FW could be made for download, maybe someone would find something useful on it.

"Super Slim" isn't the official name, nor is it "Ultra Slim" the only name that's officially usable is Slim.
IGN was one of the first that I remember who started using it and since they're always strict about copyright they shouldn't have "coined" this custom title.

There aren't good in math :
Hynix H5RS5223DFA 512 Mb GDDR3 VRAM (times four chips = 256 MB) 4x 256 = 1gb
Elpida X1032BBBG-3C-F 1 Gb (on two chips for 256 MB total) XDR DRAM 2x 256 = 512Mb
10-03-2012
04:38 PM
512mb x 4 is indeed equal to 256MB
1gb x 2 is also equal to 256MB
mb = megabit, gb = gigabit, MB = megabyte

04:52 PM
This new PS3 now has more GDDR3 VRAM than the previous PS3 Slim models?
10-04-2012
04:52 AM
512 mb (Megabits) = 64*4 MB= 256MB (Megabytes).
1 byte= 8 bits

this is why i prefer to write "Mo" than "Mb"
