PS3 Dev KDSBest has ported XB36Harzard’s XBox 360 Dishonored Save Game Editor to the PS3 and personally modified it, here is a quote from the release thread:
Hi,
I ported XB36Harzard’s XBox 360 Dishonored Save Game Editor to PS3 and modified it. His was detected as virus and I know why. Mine shouldn’t get detected.
You have to use pfdtool to decrypt PAYLOAD of your Dishonored Save.
Enter the Stuff the SaveGame wants to know.
Play till you got at least 1 rune to be save.
Backup the savegame it uses a heuristic method since the positions of coins and runes are not fixed. It will warn you if it came to trouble and it backups your old PAYLOAD file.
If no warning comes (even sometimes if one comes) you should have more coins, runes and 65000 of most of the bullet types.
At the end you have to encrypt the PAYLOAD file with pfdtool again.
To the SaveGame it uses some strange modified zip algorithm to zip and unzip the save.
XB36Harzard uses offzip and packzip to manage the zip algo for him. So do I!
I just ported his stuff and modified it and wrote it in C#… VB really sucks
Have fun,
KDSBest

This bug/glitch wont get you free games, but it will let you see the following weeks updates by simply changing the clock, the original source was the Official PS Forums, but link seems to have since been nuked, luckily JustPushStart caught it in time, here is a quote from them:
Thanks to a finding by Jmes99, you can apparently view some of next weeks content by simply setting your clock ahead 1 week. While the exploit is limited to whatever changes Sony has already put into motion, this trick has revealed that US gamers are getting NBA Jam On Fire Edition and Cronovolt (Vita) for free with plus. If that doesn’t wow you, the store also lists a 50% discount on Deus EX Human Revolution, Sound Shapes, Bulletstorm and Skull Girls too.
Originally clicking Jmes99 would have taken you to the original story, but the PS Forum moderators seem to have put the article in moderation/hidden mode, anyhow here is a video of the bug in action:

If you don’t know who opium2k is by now, then shame on you, he is solely responsible for creating most of the Themes you use on your PS3 Homebrew, multiMAN, RetroArch and now he has released some sexy Themes for deroads PS Channel, here is a quote from the source:
It’s been a while since I’ve done any themes or anything PS3 related so after seeing a screenshot of PS Channel’s info screen and noticing the line that said “Theme Name: Original PSC Theme” I thought hmm…
After a couple of days fumbling around in photoshop and trying to remember how to use EFL this is what I came up with:

We all knew the moment would come that we definitely had to let go the PS2, but even with the moment here it hurts…..
The PS2 is no longer being shipped in Japan
Its over. The PS2 has finally stopped being produced in Japan. Sony Computer Entertainment announced this news today.
Japan is the last region which still received brand new PS2 systems. Well, the last region out of the big three. I believe the console is still shipping in some other countries which didn’t receive it until long after it arrived in stores in 2000.
But for the most part this is a big deal. The PS2 keeps its crown as best-selling console of all-time at nearly 150 million consoles. Well, best-selling console. If we’re counting the DS then it may not be the #1 selling gaming device ever.
Nonetheless the PS2 was a juggernaut. It lasted a long time and it won’t be forgotten anytime soon. Some people still argue that the PS2 has a superior software library in comparison to current consoles and you’d have a hard time convincing them otherwise because the PS2 has possibly the best library ever.
Lately, there has been a lot of questions regarding Game Save resigning in the PS3HaX forums. So if you need help with that or want to know how it works, PS3HaX member gingerbread has put together a few tutorials with different methods to help you out. Click on the image or on the link below to get to the thread.
* Visual improvements
* Added SD/MS/CF entries in Retro
* Fade-in for game backgrounds
* Some other improvements related to copying/scanning/verifying/etc
* multiMAN “minimal”/”bare” version available (read below)
=======================================
Few weeks ago some people requested a ‘minimalistic’ version of multiMAN. For them I created this package:
This is a skinned down version (BARE). It can be installed on any PS3 without the need of a previous mM installation. It is like a “base” but the differences are:
* Simple theme (2MB) (no theme music)
* No GUI translations (English only)
* No user fonts (only system fonts will be used)
* No PS1/PS2/PSP names/IDs database (no game names will be displayed)
* AIOMOD not included (old BD-Mirror method for USB games will be used on 4.21+CFWs)
Do not use it unless you’re the one who asked for it. BARE can be installed on any firmware for normal users who don’t really need any of the listed above features. Of course NONE of these features are present in other BUMs so everyone should be happy. It can be installed on top of your current mM if you wish to test it (you will not notice much difference, because you already have the fonts/translations/aiomod/themes installed).
This bare version is suitable for:
* English speaking users
* All 3.41/3.55 (non Cobra/TB) firmwares
* All 4.21+ firmwares (disc may be required when booting bd-mirror USB games if AIOMOD.BIN is not present)
* Weeners who complain all the time that 130MB is too much for a stupid PS3 homebrew like mM

PS3 homebrew devs have been working hard over the Christmas period, we have had cool CFW releases and deroads sexy PSChannel, plugins from facanferff, homebrew games from makus95 and Daveyshambles.
Finally I was able to find the time to port my dumpers on 4.21 CFW. There were some problems while porting from 3.55 to 4.xx and hopefully all of them were fixed.
These dumpers are not required to work with previous tool called Data Ddumper because they just write all data directly to the corresponding file on /dev_hdd0/tmp.
All dumpers were tested on 4.21 REX and should works fine if you do the process correctly.
I recommend to use the FTP client from multiMAN to patch sprx files.
Don’t forget to make backups of sprx files before patching them.
Don’t use two or more dumpers at once – this will definitely not work).

What is PSChannel ?
is a software that i wrote to allow users to download homebrews directly on their ps3, without needing a pc. it’s like the Sony PS Store. An Opensource Homebrew Store.
this software is free and I will NEVER ask for money.
This version is just a little different from the one in my git due the request from the admin of Brewology (this means also that i will not release the source code of this version, but all the fix i will do in the future, will be done also on the code in my repository)
All the server side components provided by The Brewology Store (Brewology.com).
Facanferff has published the ShowtimePlugin Youtube 2.0, which will make Youtube browsing on the PS3 a “New Experience”.

Markus95 and Daveyshambles have released a new version of the Resident Evil mod for Paintown. They have added a lot of new characters, enemies, moves and more! Read the release notes below for more information.
Hello everyone and merry xmas to all,
A short while back you may remember this little mod I made for paintown, well since then id been in contact with fellow modder Markus95 and he said we could make something amazing if we worked together, so we put our heads together and came up with this arcade quality version with loads of new features. Theres new enemies and characters, aswell as music and moves, I cant stop playing it and i’ll bet you wont either.
To install you must have a copy of Markus95′s saint seya mod paintown 3.6.1,(His current version) If you dont then get it and install it first then install this over the top, it will say the same version already exists but install it and it will be in the game under change mod option (RE)
The link that ive posted for download may not be around for long as they are changing there site so if someone could mirror I would be greatfull.
Id like to say thanx to Jon Rafkind, Markus95 and all my Mugen friends
Anyway Merry Xmas from Daveyshambles and Markus95, And keep a look out for Paintown Aliens in the new year, If you like this your gonna love our Aliens mod.
This link here is for the 3.55 version only, Those of you who have a hombrew resigner can convert it or wait for me to post the link for the 4.** versions when Markus95 sends it to me…
Heres an update from my friend Markus95 with another video and links to 3.55 and 4.** versions
