PS3HaX member 0×00 has released a piece of software called PS_Unban, here is a paste from the original thread:
Okay, ladies and gents, the way I see it sony will soon patch my console unban method, in my opinion it will be possible to work around the patch, I however won’t release it publicly.
What I will however give you is : PS Unban, this is a tool to Unban your ps3 on both 4.21 and 3.55 firmwares (different pkg’s) (the 4.21 should work on both but meh), no console ID needed.
If it gets fixed i’ll patch it a few times.
GUIDE:
Install either “PS_Unban v0.1(4.21).pkg” OR “PS_Unban v0.1(3.55).pkg on your PS3.
PS Unban (3.55) -Â Download PS_Unban v0.1(3.55).rar
PS Unban (4.21) -Â Download PS_Unban v0.1(4.21).rar(The 4.21 should work on both firmwares).
Once you have installed PS Unban, run it.
When it opens,
Press X if your on firmware 4.21
OR
Press the start button if your on 3.55The application will then unban you and close automatically.
You can now sign into PSN.
This was created by me so for the love of god don’t start dishing donations out to people or what not, since people are trying to claim donations for my work -__-
Donations to me however would be appreciated if you want it kept up-to-date.
I still require a tidy 4.30 LV2 dump to make it compatible with 4.30 if anyone wants to send me one.
P.S – This has to be ran everytime PS3 is started, I might release semi-perma unban in future.
P.P.S – The 4.21 release is still beta, let me know if any issues occur.

Is this random? I.e. a banned console becomes a random chosen 'other' console with valid data as long as you run the app, and untill you reboot?

Yeah, some people are getting the blackscreen error, i'm not sure why, most users are finding it works, but there are exceptions, i'll probably do a code overhaul in a bit, due to sloppy coding.

FYI I tryied to create a new user using this patch it wouldn't work. said the limit for number of accounts associated with this Playstation have been reached please use an existing account.
I was able to get around this by rebooting and running the rebug toolbox and patching my IDPS in memory with another region mask. I tried to create an account and it worked. then wouldn't log in it kept saying error has occured you have been signed out of the PSN. I then did a reboot ran the unban and signed in on my new account just fine. Hope this helps any with issues.

This is kind of misleading as it doesn't "UNBAN" you. Bans are server side and so you aren't unbanned by simply running an app on the ps3, all this probably does is makes the system look like its not the system that was banned.

We can't. It's a game of cat and mouse. but I'd rather see a tool to spoof the ID from a file on USB instead of a preset one. that way we can use our own personal ID's and not a million users will be connecting through the same ID. At least I'm assuming thats probably what this tool was doing.

Is this ever possible to be persistent across reboots? Not that I ever voluntarily reboot my PS3. It just crashes pretty frequently, all by itself (heh thanks Sony
. It's that bloody Play TV dongle I can't really ditch / live without.

the app just changes the console id to a valid unbanned one, if you get one and use psid to change it to a legit one then maybe itll work longer. he is providing a working console id that is applied when you run the app, its just like psid and thats why it needs to be re-done on every reboot. it doesnt change the id just spoofs it. all sony has to do is to ban the one console id and the app is useless untill he changes the id to a new working one. smart like 0x00, wondering how you get your hands on working ids tho. that would be worth knowing lol

The reason this was patched so quickly was because people have been unbanning with chaos air bringer for awhile...Sony's hired ninjas lurk and post to get info on how to do things. It would not surprise me if these noobs that troll about cfw for 4.31 is sony trying to keep tabs on everything.
I'm not disappointed by this, if this got out of hand many legit users would have been affected.

I downloaded the updated version back a few posts. I installed it and ran it... loaded to a screen with options I pressed square for 4.30 it blackscreened and went back to dash. I logged into psn and boom played some blackops 2.

I disagree. you ask me the network should be open to anyone thats willing to pay for there games. sure cheaters and pirates should be banned but what about those that use the PSN in a legit manner? Nullbyte seems you made a mistake with the offsets either that or 4.x has better checks in place that block this from working.

-Erased all my previous console accounts
- Created new console account
-Created new psn account on my pc
-Installed the ps_unban for 4.30, ran it and pressed square, program quits and takes me back to xmb. Tried to sign in with my brand new psn account and I still get the message "Access to Sony Entertainment Network from this system has been banned or temporarily suspended."
Did I do something wrong, or isn't it working yet for us people on Rogero 4.30?

Yeah the TV resolution is only an issue for those getting a black screen...... Like I said I don't know whats different between the file posted in the new thread and this but the new threads 4.21 unban works perfectly for me. I'm on Rebug REX 4.21 CEX CFW and have it set to rebug mode. nothing special here.
And as for XMBM+ It has a few funtions that the rebug package manager does not. I personally prefer it.

this app has been blocked by $ony right now, it does not work for like 98% of the people trying it, including myself. Only reason im trying these UnBan methods is cause I was recently banned and Curious as if any of it will work. So I can inform people better on weather or not there screwed.
In this case banned users are screwed for now. Be Patient im sure someone will figure something out, but if it was your PSN account that was banned, sad news is you wont be getting back on PSN with that account unless sony allows it.

in all scenario then it should be working with mine too >_< given your model is the one right after mine. Not sure what kinda ban mine is though, I would think its console ID ban. I played little bit of elemental monsters card online game the night before. So my guess is Im console ID banned from PSN. If thats the case this should work for me as well.

I can confirm that it is working on Rogero 3.55 v3.7
on my Ps3 slim cech 2001a
didn't work on rogero 4.30 so i downgraded and it is working wit YetAnotherBypass 1.8

To those using the PKG from this thread don't the MD5 check isn't the same between this thread and the new release thread. try the new downloads. they should be working I think. this does work on Rex 4.21.1 no problem, unbans console but not account. when your getting the access to network message when trying to sign in with banned whatever, there is two diffrent messages, one says account has been etc....the other will say console has been etc....
I found out i was both when I actually read the message on my original account and then tried logging in with friends account. the messages were diffrent.

This is working. only real problem is that the app will only run in 1080i. However please note that it's highly unlinkely this patch will last long. I say that because with a hole ton of users connecting from the same id its likely to be banned again and soon.

I downgraded back to 3.55 Rogero v3.7 and now the unban tool is working fine however i had to create another user account and SEN account ,hopefully we get a 4.30 fix for this tool

this unlocks the console ID but not the Account ID
how to for people asking questions:
1: install the ps unban v0.2 pkg
2: run said package and press X ( note this button is used for 4.21 cfw users only )
- the menu in the app shows what buttons to press anyways -
and then the app will return to XMB
3: create new user profile on PS3 and then click sign up in the PSN network tab
4: go threw the process of creating a new psn account and BAM! your console is back online.
this lil mini guide is for people who have been account and console banned
If you recieve the message on your primary account " access to the playstation network for this console has been banned or temporaly suspended " then just run this app according to your cfw # Ie: 3.55, 4.21, 4.30
and bam your good to go
NOTE:
you MUST run this app everytime you turn your PS3 back on

as for the visual thing, hells guardian is right, the SFO is set to all def types. I remember Psninja having that problem too when it first came out. I could still use that app back then but I had to know the layout of the menu. I believe the button combos are as follow:

This is my first post on here and I am a n00b at this jailbreak scene (less then 2 months). I am running rebug 4.21.1 and I have a console and account ban. I deleted all of my accounts and the only way I was able to make a new account was to change my PSID region in Rebug Toolbox. Even after creating a new name, it still says my system is banned. Does this tool currently work or not? I've been reading conflicting reports and it doesn't work for me so I was hoping maybe there was a setting in Rebug Toolbox or somewhere else that I need to change for it to work. I am currently in rebug mode with debug XMB. I will appreciate any help!! thanks!

Thats correct unfortunately when it black screens it locks my unit up so I doubt that just pushing the button will work for those getting black screens.

first your Primary account is FU CK ED no nice way of putting it, you cannot get online with your primary account anymore unless sony unlocks it
the second one is easily fixed by using this app first then creating a new user on the PS3 and creating a PSN account on that user.
thats how I did it.
doing that without the unban app results in a message from sony saying " this console has reached its maxed number of accounts " which is there nice way of saying " HAHAHAHAHA were dumb and tried to block your console ID from making new acounts"

yeah the same IDPS everyone using is guna be a dead giveaway, I suggested putting in a random IDPS generator everytime you have to do it and base the IDPS # off of a region select in menu. Not sure if they will implment it into this or not. Seems like the most logical thing to do though since everyone and there grandmas are using the same IDPS LMAO

Sony banned my console and account ID's guess thats there way of saying hey you we dont want your money anymore LOL.
I never used cheats or modded **** online to gain any advantage. I paid for PSN titles and DLC just like OFW users only thing diffrent was I could run backups and homebrew. Guess that was more important to stop then takeing my money LOL.

even if you go OFW that may allow you to make a new account but you wont be able to do that with your console ID blocked. Best bet is just going to Rex 4.21.1 and staying on CFW since now that your blocked account and console ID wise there is no point in updateing to OFW

well all I know is as long as sony is making PS3's there will always be IDs , and the more IDs that get banned, pretty soon sony is guna have alllllll there OFW users calling getting pissed. Sony may unlock the legit ones but then they will be locked again.
Its a endless cycle between the two sides, honestly I think they will cave and just say Fu ck it and unban everything before this side ever does. honestly they should be focused on banning modders and cheaters not CFW users in genral. Ive signed on a total of 1 time since I used this app, all I did was tested it to see if it works and it did. Until there is a more effective and safe all around for everyone OFW and CFW, I wont be using this anymore anytime soon, unless I wanna purchase DLC real quick. with thte current TOS and DMCA law they own our asses now since we agreed to there terms on there network and even games are applying the TOS to there online portions. AC3 has one you have to agree to, Resistance 3 if I remeber right, Kingdom of Alamur has one, I dont rember if Borderlands 2 did or not.
eitehr way they own any CFW users ass now and they know it, that TOS being implented back then was a checkmate well before we even knew it. think that they foreseen the higher CFW and pulled a premetive strike with the network by way of TOS.

How can i or anybody trust PSN that way? i never purchased over there. I own retail games never bought online ANYTHING Sony related and only use it to play online with retails only, no PSN content. So they don't have nor my CC information or sensitive info neither (which sadly i don't have CC xD).

yeah the whole community dont deserve this, like I said alot of us actually pay for everything and just like the comfort of playing homebrew and backing up our games and playing them that way.
Sony really should just unlock all the CFW consoles and then re-point there barrel at the cheaters for MP online. Or the people playing games week - 2 weeks prior to its release. I know only thing I did wrong was being on there network with CFW, which I knew was a risk anyway. sony has just become ugly lately >_< I used to love them
There riping alll there consumers off , even OFW people suffer with them. with cost of ps3 maintence, my friend had YLOD 4times and each time he sent it in to sony. thats 200$ a trip ontop of the 600$ he spent on his original launch ps3 when it first came out.
so I think sony really needs to step back and really look hard on the 1-2% of there consumers that are on CFW and honestly think if its really worth it, cause you know there not loosing money cause of us. There loosing money cause of themselves. how could upto 2% of your consumers topple there company >_< there making more money then they are loosing it by the 2% of there consumers being on CFW.
If anything the CFW status has RAISED there sales on the PS3 and there pissy cause we gave them more money in a way >_<

Either I'm doing something right or completely lucky, I might quit while I'm ahead and spare my ps3 and account. If this constant unbanning keeps up, Sony will use this as an excuse to charge for online play with the next playstation.

On rebug 4.21 you must be using it in CEX mode not DEX...

C.) Are not pressing ' X ' when the unban app opens...

first i do is i go to mm sys and notice the ps3 id and try log in to psn not work it says banned.
than i start the unbann tool and try login psn see it works.

hi, using rebug 4.21.. got a blackscreen with original version.. used the blackscreen fixed version and seemed to work ok.. is there any way to show that the patch has been truly applied or as long as the app has launched successfully there is no prob?coz my ps3 has not been banned and jus usin this as a prevention for that

I deleted the UK account cause I never really used it. Cept for the free trial of PLUS I had. Tried making new psn account after that and bam! New account has been activated ^_^

I'm guessing you already have moved your saves over to your new account with the save resigner floating around. Well what about the trophies you ask, here is how to put them on new account.
Hey just wanted to share something I tried last night after reading a crap ton on ps3 devwiki.
I was pissed that I. Couldn't have my trophies on new account it sucked and made me think.
What if :
Dev_hdd0/home/<banned account>/trophy
Take that trophy folder and transfer it to
Deb_hdd0/home/<new account>/
Then rebuilt ps3 database in recovery (takes about 15min)
Loaded up ps3 and went to my new account and BAM!!! all my trophies are on my new account ^_^
Can't sync yet though :-/ 80022D11 error when synching :-/
I'm trying to figure away around it. Might have to find way to resign the tropdat to this user account so psn thinks its legit ^_^
Step in right direction for transferring all account stuff though ^_^

You say it will get patched. Yet people can still use chaos and psid changer. Two methods not patched that still let you change your mac and id. Been out since 3.41 firmware. So technically all we need is those for 4.30. Wont take long now for someone to release.

bro anything can be reverse engineered, and homebrew apps dont take long to do. Just a matter of un-compiling it. Sony blocks everything once they decide too, and with all those banned accounts getting back on bops2 , you really think sony is just guna look the other way. This won't work for your primary, you just answered your own question. Your account was banned, which means that account will never be able to get on psn again.
Make a new user on ps3
Run the unban app
Click sign up and create new account.
Bam your golden. As long as this don't get patched
Now if the message on your primary had said " access to the playstation network on this console has been banned or temp suspended "
this would work with your primary account, unfortunatly thats not the case with you here

I already know how to make a 'perma' unban, i just haven't had time to put it into practice, it's simple stuff, especially with hardware flasher...
It's however fairly pointless using a hardware flasher when Sony WILL patch the spoofing of console ID's as it is possible for them too tell if it's genuine..
It will also cause console ID's to get banned quicker if they arn't respoofed to nullbytes in memory AFTER signing into PSN, strictly my opinion ofc.
EDIT: ^ Cache only, not source.
And it's STUPID to patch MAC, MAC's are behind the network transitioning (?) layer and as such are inaccessible to Sony.. not only that but as it's tied into some syscalls etc, causes brick on startup.. which i DID mention.
Hint: You need your console's root key.

If you point me to who is doing the perma-unban research i'd be happy to help them, but it really is pointless doing it like they will be trying to as that method in particular will get patched, the method in my alternative private build although not permanent, will continue working after the consoleID method is patched..
(By perma I think you mean not having to apply every restart?), the only reason it is done like this is to minimize bricks, modifying memory will cause NO bricks, if i release my PoC it won't be achievable for less tech savvy users, and not worth doing in the long run, I can't say the alternative method, but it will be available to users who have donated to me when the current one gets patched.

Im still not banned and for the life of me I dont know why. I regularly just log in and goto MM and load a game and play. I do not stealth anything and I play whatever with no regard. I have two accounts and have plus if this matters or not. I go onto the store and check it and download plus games onto my cfw. I do not play BO2......seems suicidal to me to do so. Just before installing Rogero I had an issue with my system and was forced to format. Perhaps, this is what is helping me to hide?? Dont know as I have since installed decrypted online passes and such. Anyway, just trying to offer up a piece of the puzzle. In all likelihood I have just been lucky.

Since I got profile banned I went offline, I do not even turn on my CFW console out of concern it will likely get banned.
I did play Black Ops 2 at the time but surely something in that game is exposing us, this should be something instead of abandoning the game altogether should be looked at by the Dean K and Rogero as it's obviously something with their releases that is exposing us. I mean that with no disrespect but it is what it is.
Pity C4eva ain't involved in this scene, he's been a factor that's kept many safe on XBL, well as safe as modded firmware can be.
Profile ban is one thing, I don't want to lose the console too now.

c4eva made cfws for DVD DRIVE FIRMWARE this is very different then a fully SYSTEM FIRMWARE like on the ps3, on the xbox there is only 1 file edited but on the ps3 there are much more files edited, you cannot compare these two hacks, the best now, is to wait for the 3k3y, or buy an xbox

On PS3 I got banned in one week after flashing to Rogero 4.30 (2.03) and MM Stealth, that's the intent on my post. I'm sure Rogero and Dean K are very capable of making their releases online safe, though it will obviously take more work.

Here is a mod to the public version for 4.x to install it under the PSN category Where home and sign in etc are all found. I figure it's more of a PSN tool than a game tool. It's not hard at all to repack these either.

Check this out. If you have a personal version or wanna do this for yourself just extraxt the package and change the content type in the Param.sfo file to HM (PSN) and rebuild using the tools available and install the resulting pkg over the already installed one.

as long as you have had QA enabled when you went to rebug rex for first time your good. just update rex threw xmb and you should be fine, I just updated to 430 then back to 421rex all in xmb without touching the QA or using a downgrade pup. So im pretty sure those guys thought it threw ^_^ it seems, and that its safe to do a update from XMB to 4212 rex

Right, I guess the unban tool blocked now? was working fine then I switched PS3 off and came back later. When I use the unban tool now and sign in, it says this console has been blocked. When I do not use the tool, I can sign in fine

I tried and the app worked, sort of.
I dont get the system is banned anymore but I do get error.
I dont really care about logging back on with cfw but un-banning one account that I also have on ofw.
But from everything I have seen posted that is not going to happen.
If I can not find a way I will be done with sony and ps3 because the account I am trying to get unbanned has never been logged in on cfw but was data transfered over from ofw.
Maybe a new pc and some pc games might be in my best bet!

O I called them and talked until I was blue in the face about this, they dont care.
I told them I have done nothing wrong on that account, I use it for one game, DC Universe and have over $600.00 invested on that game.
I playing black ops 2 off line but didn't turn my network settings off and that account got banned in 5 minutes.
That was the last time I played it, about a month ago and trayarch summited it to them.
So they console banned and ID banned every account on that system.
So for those of you thinking you got away with it, well you didn't.

Black ops 2 is the ace in the hole in getting anyone banned on cfw. Care to explain why people who haven't been caught in over 2 months ...or more and not banned?
You used black ops2, you got banned, that's all there is to it. You also used your main account on cfw, if you had the luxury of 2 ps3's there was no reason to have cfw connected online.

DLC's is why I had my cfw was online at one point, I had to go to account manager and activate them.
My main account was on there from data transfer Yes all my dlc's were paid for and I wanted to activate them.
It was not my main account that I care about and did not have DC Universe on, my main had all the map packs for all the COD games that I could care less about now.

That is not true theghost11, i have 2 ps3 on cfw.
The one that NEVER played bo2 ( online or offline ) is still not banned, i can connect and play without any problem.
The one i played bo2 with is banned.
I played a lot more with the one that does not have bo2 so it should be banned for a long time, but it's not.
If you don't play bo2 or any other treyarch game and do not launch any homebrew with the pS3 account you use to connect to the SEN you ll be fine, only treyarch is reporting users to Sony.

My console just got banned. Tried to run psunban and it flickers and gives me the error code 80010017. Removed, re downloaded and reinstalled it. No luck. I'm running rogero 4.30 v 2.03. It spoofed the system to beleive it is 4.31. So what should I expect?

What's with all this console bans now? What the hell are people doing to get a console ban? I play online very frequently, I play games like FIFA13, BF3, MW3, Far Cry 3, some PSN games and no issue, I stopped trying to play BO2 so I gave up on that game only, I don't use cheats I simply enjoy online gameplay as if I had OFW, but this last days I read that people are getting a console bans now. Maybe I have been lucky all this time that I have used CFW (rogero) and the ban wave haven't hit me yet.
Do you think this is mostly to all the people that used the ps_unban?
I don't really know how this method worked but from what I read it has to do with a lot of people using the same ps3 ID, is that it?
If it is only because you have CFW and use multiman, I'm sure many users have been ok with this and keep playing online and I sure can contradict that this is not the problem...for now.

I have just did the downgrade to my system and upgraded to rogero 4.30 v2.03. All I did was copy my games and go online. It worked for a week and bam!, banned console yesterday. Never used unban or any of th3 such until yesterdat. So I can try to unban my console. The apps is resigned and install fine but does nothing cause offsets changed in 4X.

On an seperate note, found this old link about what 227 means:
"Error Code: 8002a227 - 30 day ban from Sony Playstation Security Department. I called an associate of mine at Playstation HQ (Security Dept) in California. You can't steal an id you ll need to find one.
Of course it will work with bo2 until you ll get banned again cause the bans comes from bo2, nothing else.

Sony ban the consoleid's and psn accounts list received, simple as that.
They will ban any new id if they detect homebrew, no doubt.
They are the only game dev to do that, so if you stay away from bo2 you ll be fine.

So when ps_unban came out I used it to log in to PSN again. However, I tried to log in to PSN today and got a message that I was banned again.
The new ps_unban works fine on my console with Rogero CFW4.30 v2.05. But it displays in 480 so the letters are huge and not all of it are displayed (not that I'm complaining).

This isn't hard to grasp and even if you delete blops2 you're still on the list to be banned in the following week or two....continue playing this POS game and keep getting innocent id's banned. Not true, not once has bops2 ever touched my ps3 and I got hit with console and account ban. Just having cfw will get you banned. According to there site though (Sony) its a temporary ban given my code. Supposedly its a 30day ban, cause apparently I was acting inappropriate during online play O.o which is funny cause I don't play online games unless I'm playing borderlands 2 with my friends that I know personally.

And topic lost purpose a long time ago when the dev of this app stopped posting. I am still yet to hear back from him about fixing my priv8 build. And BTW how it works he uses your old IDPS and inputs it into his keygen app, you then run it and it generates a new IDPS for your system. No one takes IDPS from anyone or uses old one's from other systems as they don't match. The public ones do but I will not use that as it is a red flag.

Anyone help? Ok so I checked my console id in psid app just to check it. I than ran the unban app and it changed. I than shut the ps3 off and checked the I'd in psid app again but the I'd was different from the first time and from when I used the app? I also checked I'd in multiman and ran app but it never changed there. Is this the only way to be sure that it changed since my console not banned?

but to find the fixed one go to google>type "unban ps3 console">advanced search>last 24 hours

you MUST RUN the programm EVERYTIME you want to sign into PSN
im banned too but im not crying and i know its my fault i just googled and found this
and i promise it works
if youre on cfw 4.30 press square when you open the program (i think triangle for cfw 4.21 and start for cfw 3.55)
and never mind if the screen is zoomed in it happens to me too

I am just thinking,but I am not sure.
Everybody who has registered or activated his PS3 got banned. I have never registered my PS3 so thats I havent got a ban for now althougt I play online with CFW.
Hope you understand me what I mean.Cant explain that way I want , but a PS3 System can be activated for 3 times or whatever....

PSID patch by stoker25 allows you to use either your own psID.text or ConsID.text , thats how Im getting on ^_^ uncommon console ID ;-) so not everyone and there families is using same ID as me hehe :-D
