• [Released] PSChannel V1.01 Brewology Version

    What is PSChannel ?

    is a software that i wrote to allow users to download homebrews directly on their ps3, without needing a pc. it’s like the Sony PS Store. An Opensource Homebrew Store.
    this software is free and I will NEVER ask for money.

    This version is just a little different from the one in my git due the request from the admin of Brewology (this means also that i will not release the source code of this version, but all the fix i will do in the future, will be done also on the code in my repository)

    All the server side components provided by The Brewology Store (Brewology.com).

    i have tested this only on 3.55. i don’t know if it will work on newer firmwares; if not, i will try to add 4.xx compatibility.

      Yeah nice release though if I remember correctly used long ago a similar app ...

      thanks for clearing that up for me

      Im getting an error trying to install it on Rogero 4.30 ( 80029564 )

      Guess I need to wait for it to be compatible.

      This app isn't yet compatible with CFW 4.30 V2.03 (must be resigned with 4.30 key???)

      You can install the unsigned Version on a CEX but you will have an error when loading. (80****17 i don't remember exactly the number)

      it doesnt work on later fw for 2 reasons:

      1. because the app itself is for 3.55 ( can be resigned, i tested it, and the app itself works just fine)
      2. because it only serves eboots signed for 3.55 (so if you resigned the app, you still cant launch the downloaded homebrew, since its signed for 3.55)


      ... so wont work either way

      Like I say it's only 3.55CFW Compatible... (for ignorant like me :3 )

      Ok no matter what I do I can't extract this it just keeps making the eboot.bin massive sizes using all known tools. So I made a work around for 4.21 REX users. Simply install the unsigned version then go to MM and go to hdd0:/games/PSCHANNEL/USDIR and replace the eboot there with this one and I have resigned and it works fine.

      Not the most elegant way but hey it works fine till someone can re-pkg it signed for 4.21 users. The GH version just gives and error every time I try to install.

      podrias meter theme, lang.txt y cache en USRDIR para poder modificar el lang.txt a español y volver a empaquetar correctamente con psn_package_npdrm y NO con ps3py ?

      for those who speak english....

      could fit theme, lang.txt and cache in order to modify the USRDIR lang.txt to Spanish and repackage correctly and NOT ps3py psn_package_npdrm?

      this is the problem. some things are written in the c++ code itself. i will add (in the future) the lang support, by reading that file, to allow simple translation.

      Would love to see this working above 3.55, prolly quite involving though having both versions to sign for.

      Please redownload the 1.02 version (from where you want) because i noticed a problem with a lib, and that problem doesn't allow to download some homebrew. now it's fixed. (on the store you will see the 1.02 Fix version)
