How to use the tool:
1. Download the .rar file and extract it (if you delete any files from inside the rar, the tool will not work!)
2. Launch “BOII Modding Tool.exe”.
3. Load an ELF file for either campaign or MP/Zombies (EBOOT.ELF is for campaign, t6mp_ps3.elf is for MP/Zombies. Downloads for clean ELFs can be found in the downloads section of this post).
4. Check off whatever mods you want. Make sure to pick a region and a firmware version. If you want to choose DEX firmware, you will need to get the file “make_fself_npdrm.exe” from the PS3 SDK and add it to the folder with my tool.
5. Click on “Build .SELF/.BIN”. Save the file as whatever you want.
6. If your mods are for campaign, rename the file you saved to EBOOT.BIN and copy it to /dev_hdd0/game/YOUR REGION/USRDIR/ on your PS3.
7. If your mods are for Multiplayer/Zombies, rename the file you saved to t6mp_ps3f.self and copy it to /dev_hdd0/game/YOUR REGION/USRDIR/ on your PS3.
A few things to note with using this tool are that this tool will only work for ELFs from the 1.04 update, if you use super jump in Campaign you must use god mode to prevent dying from fall damage, if you use Floating Bodies in Campaign some vehicles will float into the sky and this sadly makes several missions impossible to complete and any false virus positives on my tool are due to protection of the application to prevent reverse engineering.
Important notes:
-I cannot provide a link to make_fself_npdrm due to legality issues. If you want to build your mods for DEX, you will need to get this file (can be found in the PS3 SDK) and add it to the folder with my tool in it.

I think this tool has an error. I have noticed when you try to load an elf file from BOII it cannot load the necessary file to mod. I believe the problem is that the file extension is .self and the modding tool is looking for a .self file to mod. Not sure if changing the file extension to .elf will solve this problem or not. I will try this as soon as I get a chance. Anyone else experiencing this issue?
Edit: nvm you must use the clean elfs from the other download link provided for this tool to function properly. Just a heads up for anyone wishing to use this mod

Unfortunately this tool is not working for me. Have Rogero 4.30 V2.03 and BLES01717. I followed the instructions to the tee. After modding the t6mp_ps3f.elf provided in the download for MP/Zombies it is not working. Tried with a few options when building the .self file like longer knife and unlimited ammo. Any suggesstions?

Believe, people who go on PSN & use ModZ especially on Black ops, we all know what will happen = Tryarch report you to Sony & get banned from PSN / Console banned + PSN account suspended = Even without ModZ. If anyone goes on PSN they deserve to get banned ,because that is what Tryarch will do plain & simple . There servers there rules ,reality = XLINK KIA with a friend/s .

Wot you mean treyarc r useless they havent even patched the master prestige hack that alot of ofw users are using so i dont think they'll ban people for using hacks i mean how would they know as long as you kept it to friends only online play. The only way they would know if you were using hax online is if someone reported u for cheating or hacking or have they got some sort of automated system that checks the .self files on every person that logs onto there servers. CFW users will def get banned im not so sure for official firmware users

That was one of the things that drove me to figure out npdrm years ago to mod Black ops to piss them off & i succeeded with a little direction from my silent partner ,,in like 2010/11 .It has been so long i forget when but it happened
Here is something to look forward to - NARKS .I do not like them to be honest. I am a man & never would report anyone unless they really pissed me off, by using mods on me, like a stalker kid who got his A$$ handed to him by me in the game. I think i was reported for whipping some dudes A$$ & he reported me. Probably said i was hacking , or just a lie of some sort.. Besides that i would never report. I would feel lame pressing that button. I never narked in real life. For that i am no Nark in a game.

You can get banned on OFW if you have any homebrew apps on your PS3 after a data transfer or updating to OFW<<<< not a theory but past experience from the 1.03 temp bans.
Dunno about Prestige Master bans on OFW though.

I logged into multiplayer with modified self and i got banned in less than 5 minutes, i used a method to log again with the same banned account and the cheats didnt worked... Can anywone confirm if this works in multiplayer? I used super speed, god modelo and infinite ammo...

It took me a while to figure it out, but "Long Knife" crashes the game. To anybody having problems where the game won't start, never turn long knife on. Everything else works fine.

hi bros, i was wondering if any of youall would send me a copy of .elf and .self files already patched through the app, i can rename them later, im having problems with the app having error and crashing evertytime i press "create" on my old windows computer, and i have 2 mac computers so i cant run it there, i would like both, 1 for campaign and 1 for mp/zombie, with all the mods except, floating bodies and super jump checked, 4.21+ cfw checked and BLES01717 checked, i can provide my email so u can send them through attachments and i would greatly appreciated, been trying but i just cant get it to work and my computer is too old, PM me please!!!!!

no, im using windows xp service pack 3, .net framework 4 installed, but i everytime i hit create, something comes up either unhandled exception and crashes or scetool error and also crashes, old app works and runs through, new app with campaign for some reason does not

im copying the self/eboot.bin files to hdd0/game/BLES01717/USDIR etc. but when i go to zombies on local it dont work I ticked everything except long knife lava,fog super jump,promod , bodies and super perks what am i doing wrong im using the clean elfs provided i made sure t6_ps3.self was for zombies and multiplayer im on rogero 4.30 v2.05whats the deal or does this only work on a 4.21 cfw version

ez, MP stands for multiplayer...so the t6mp_ is for multiplayer and not t6_ .
Zombies is also considered multiplayer so it is the same file. It is the t6mp_ that you need to modify!
