PS3HaX member and creator of Red Ribbon Linux r04drunner has released a new online update for the release candidates 6 and 7. You can update by following the instructions below.
Hi,
I have published a new online update.
This update has been designed for the releases candidates 6 and 7. It includes the following changes:
- Added a new logout window that includes the “Boot GameOS” option.
- Added a new version of the Red Ribbon theme.
- Fixed the hang problems when shutting down and rebooting.
You need to connect the PS3 to the internet, open a lxterminal and download the file:
Code:wget http://downloads.redribbon.t15.org/online-update-2013-01-30.shThen, you must execute it:
Code:sudo sh online-update-2013-01-30.shAnd wait until finished. Then, you must logout and login again.
This update will be included on the next release of the LiveCD.
Note: When you turn off the PS3 if the red light is blinking, do not worry. Now a syscall is used to simulate a problem and to turn off the PS3, but actually everything is ok
.

3 great fixes there...nice work r04drunner
the new 4.31CFW also have "flags" for OtherOS
all of them ( i guess) requires u first setup the CFW+the linux partition on 3.55, this way tested&working
Best way....go back 3.55 and use the OtherOS pup or any cfw3.55 with OtherOS partition created, install and load "restore PS3 system" from the Recovery to finisch the OtherOS partition setup, install Petitboot etc..(or use the build-in tools for Rebug for OtherOS setup later on on 4.xx) also the 4.31 have it(not tested "setup_otheros" and stuff here..)
a proper OtherOS setup+RedRibbon works fine enough on Rebug's 4.21.2 + the new 4.31CFW, if Rogero 4.30 got those patches it should run...anyone tested OtherOS on Rogero 4.30

thats not gonna work..no otheros patches?!, or try the toolbox on rogero 4.30 with a OtherOS setup already installed, see what it boots into..think only way is testing it..
