The Open Source Iris Manager is now at version 2.0. Thanks to Hermes, Estwald and D_Skywalk for this awesome piece of PS3 homebrew! Here’s the changelog:

    null

    Translation :

    What’s new:

    - Ported entire project PSL1GHT v2 (hence the version jump)

    - Added languages within Iris Manager: press START, go to Tools (Tools) and the second option veraás “Pitinglis”. Well, give with X until “talk” Christian [+ laughs]

There is an option “Custom (from file)” to add other languages, such as Catalan or other individuals of our land. I have not included in that if I see ass, ass want and will start asking everyone their language, and I can not deal with all that when you add new stuff!. Still, if you send me the translations for me to include them in and so that other people can use them, especially

    - Now is not verified language.ini version. That is, if the language has the required entry Iris, decision and if not, ignore it and use the one with default (this should have done so long ago [+ laughs])

    - Fixed the problem that the FTP files not truncated.

    - Fixed the problem that Iris gave error opening more than two files in asynchronous transfers. Fixed the problem of directory and file permissions to delete.

    - Added a new option “Tools” for those who have broken the controller, that you can launch PSX games in ISO and it is unknown where possible all that goes into BDVD and makes mounting Miralatijera asked me to to launch the games from APP_HOME (basically the same as it was to ride on BDVD HDD0 BD Emu using the option, only now and it is always added riding / dev_usb00x on / dev_bdvd). For now is all experimental so be patient until Miralatijera of the key easier than I provide software support and provided tools and sources to compile XD

    - This will not like Miralatijera [+ laughs]: to launch PSX, removes “disco” or “light”. This is so, because in PSX must observe the green LED when changing discs. In all other ways, I respect, that if [haha]

PS: By the way, I forgot to mention that I have translated many things … more needs to be translated, but come on, is a homespun English and are things that are not used all the rare or error messages.

For those of you using multiMAN on the likes of 3.55 Kmeaw, you will either have to update your MFW or be stuck with an outdated multiMAN, as it seems the developer doesn’t think you are important enough to keep multiMAN updated for your firmware, here is a quote from the source:

With multiMAN 05.00.00 only 4.30 and higher firmwares will be supported. Supporting 14 different firmwares is too hard to maintain compatibility with.

These will no longer be supported:

    3.41 OFW
    3.41 OFW + DONGLE
    3.41 MFW (HERMES)
    3.55 OFW
    3.55 CFW KMEAW
    3.55 CFW COBRA
    3.55 CFW TB
    3.55 CFW REBUG/ROGERO
    3.55 OFW DEX
    3.55 CFW DEX
    4.21 OFW DEX
    4.21 CFW REBUG
    4.21 CFW ROGERO 1.00..2.03

These and later will be supported:

    4.30 CFW ROGERO 2.05..
    4.30 CFW REBUG
    4.31 CFW

In the beginning mM used to support 1.90/3.00/3.14/3.21 firmwares but then suddenly the new additions started to cause issues with these old firmwares so I leveled up at 3.41. Now 2 years and 6 months later I think it is time to go up again.

Users of unsupported firmwares can stay with 04.19.00 or lower multiMAN version – anyway – it has more than everything one may need. Or switch to Iris.

Next Wednesday, which is the 20th of February, Sony are holding a conference, many believe that this is when they will reveal the PS4, but will it also be the same time they reveal a new PS Vita model ?

According to GamerExchange, there is a new model in the works, here is a quote:

With the one year anniversary of the PlayStation Vita fast approaching in North America, sources (who have requested that we keep anonymous) have hinted at the possibility of an upgraded model coming sooner than most may have expected.

Although the credibility of this report comes into question by myself and my colleagues, these are the details nonetheless:

    • A new 4G LTE model of the PlayStation Vita will be replacing the 3G model sometime this year. According to the source, this will be the so-called “price drop” that has been rumored for the Vita as the new model will retain the $299 price point for an upgraded system.
    • The Wi-Fi version will still be available on the market for $249
    • To go along with the 4G model, a significant firmware update will go live bringing in a lot of requested features including new ways to organize apps in folders.
    • The new model may be unveiled along with the rumored PS4 this month at PlayStation’s February 20th event or at E3, but will not hit the market until later in the year.
    • A price cut on memory cards will be made. No details on prices.

    Tiny3D and libfont
xerpi today posted this on Korben and mine ps3dev forums http://forum.psxbrew.net/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=421
Well, he sucessfully ported hermes Tiny3D lib to PSL1GHT V2, i tryied once, but i failed for an header problem (nv40.h), but he had a better idea. just simple copy the old one and do not convert the code to the new one :D
He ported as well libfont (always written by hermes)
    this is what he said:

I have forgotten to say that I also ported libfont (it was easy, I had only to modify the Makefile)

inside the Tiny3D folder, you will have only one sample working for V2 (the sprites2D), because porting samples is boring xD

    ps3soundlib
    then it’s my turn xD
a loooong time ago when i tried to port Tiny3D, i have successfully ported ps3soundlib, but i never tested it.
now i tested and works. i never tested it because the sample needs tiny3D, and my Tiny3D wasn’t working..

there is one sample (fireworks3D) that works perfectly with V2.

[U]WARNING: all the libs will be installed under

    Code:
    $PORTLIBS/lib
    $PORTLIBS/include
    $PORTLIBS/module
    $PORTLIBS/module/include
    $PORTLIBS/module/lib

The old nv40.h will be called nv40v1.h and can be included in this way:
    #include <nv40v1.h>

    https://github.com/wargio/tiny3D (this include libfont too)

Square Enix has announced a new game for current gen consoles titledMurdered: Soul Suspect through a teaser website.

The website here does little to explain what the game is, other than that it’s coming to PS3, 360 and PC. Going to /evidence and typing in Ronan gives the above image (as discovered by NeoGAF), along with this message:

    O’Connor, male, mid- 30s, 170lbs, 5’ 11”

Detectives aren’t supposed to get bloody knuckles, but I’ve done a lot of things I wasn’t supposed to do. I lived through it all, the beat-downs, the back-stabbing, disrespect most people wouldn’t see in ten lifetimes and I never lost a fight… until now.

According to the image metadata, it was taken Feb. 25, 2014 (possible release date?), and was taken in Southern Nevada.

Combining other images teased on Twitter brings the bell symbol (also seen on the site) on the birch tree:

A whois search of Murdered.com reveals the domain is registered to Naoto Sugiyama, a senior manager at Square Enix, while the Twitter account follows Square London. We then checked the site for cookies and found harvester.netops.eidosinteractive.com:

Square has simply said that it’s “an exciting new game from Square Enix which challenges players to solve possibly the hardest case of all.”

Well i took some time browsing thought different websites and i found 2 that already have the product to *pre-order*. Problem is that most of them they are pretty unclear when Cobra ODE will be ready, also that there’s no price tag. What’s even funnier that some sites like this one, which i found very reliable made this following statement = Set your own price! (If i have to set price = 24 dollars) ;)

To show how retailers seems that don’t have a clue or some direct feedback with Cobra’s HQ, check this screenshot:

ETA february 2013 and date subject to change make all of this even more confusing.

I searched also about 3k3y but i found same *dates* problems.

What you think?, device is ready but some feedback problems between Cobra with distributors or they are just waiting until 3k3y make their first step?.

    ==============================================

Since confusion is getting worse i will quote what COBRA/3K3Y/E3 officially stated about their devices working on 3K and 4k models:

    1) Cobra stated in their own site (ODE) that when they release the product = Support for 3/4K

Support for the newer consoles such as 25xx, 3xxx and 4xxx to run ISO’s will be included at release.

    2) 3K3Y stated this on their official website:

** Currently firmware 3.55 is required for exctracting the drive key. Once the key has been extracted the PS3 can be updated to any official or custom firmware. We are working on hardware methods for extracting keys from PS3′s already on 4.x firmware.

    3) E3 = E3 station:

    PS3 Glitcher
This is an independent small size chip with cheaper cost. It does not need additional hardware like the E3 Station . We have succeeded in glitching the PS3 3K and 4K a few months ago,all we need is some time to improve boot rate.

Who needs *Ganja* when you have this crazy dynamic theme?. ;)

    To quote:

We’ve just discovered the best thing about the new PSN store. Yes, buying things through your browser is convenient, but this is better.

Now, we can load up a video preview of new PS3 dynamic themes. That means that we can capture them as GIFs and make sure everyone sees what is going on in the lawless Wild West-style landscape of “premium” decorations for your PS3.

And what is going on this week is this eye-searing, seeing eye, the “Santa Cruz Target” dynamic theme. Load this up, and finding your PS3 content becomes a game – a game of navigating the menu as quickly as possible before you fall into some kind of trance or get a massive headache. See it in motion – and be seen by it – after the break.
